Here's the press release for the latest issue of Blocks magazine:

Blocks magazine Issue 68 is available to buy now at blocksmag.com and will arrive in UK shops on Thursday. In these unprecedented times, it is more convenient than ever to set up a subscription to get each issue delivered early every month – the support of our readers is a huge help during this uncertain period.

As the cover reveals, this month’s issue takes a look at the new LEGO Speed Champions sets to assess whether the new scale is worthy of a place on the winner’s podium. The Review section also covers Architecture Skylines, CITY and is capped off with the Hall of Fame.

It has been 10 years since the LEGO Collectible Minifigures theme was introduced and since then more than 500 minifigures have arrived in those little blind bag packets. The LEGO Group’s Matthew Ashton and Tara Wike reveal how they got this new concept off the ground and discuss their favourite characters in an exclusive interview with Blocks.

Elsewhere in the magazine, programmer Nathan Thom reveals how he came up with Rebrickable, the website that allows LEGO fans to upload their collections and then download instructions to build new models. In this in-depth feature, users of Rebrickable provide insight into what makes the website a key part of their LEGO hobby.

That’s not all for fascinating interviews though, as LEGO Star Wars design experts Jens Kronvold Frederiksen and Hans Burkhard Schlomer discuss the new Ultimate Collector Series A-wing, LEGO Certified Professional Kevin Hall talks about LEGO life and the LEGO MASTERS USA winners lift the lid on their experience.

Blockstalgia takes readers back a decade or so to recall the Fantasy subtheme that took over Castle from 2007 until 2009, focusing on the battle between knights and skeletons. There are even all-new, exclusive instructions for a modern interpretation of the Skeleton Horse.

Recently, a study hit the news revealing that LEGO bricks can survive in the sea for up to 1,300 years – Blocks speaks to the scientist behind the study to find out more about his research and the problem with plastics.

This month also features the final part of the epic modification to LEGO Star Wars UCS Star Destroyer, completing the ship’s interior with the Meditation Room and Conference Room. In Technique, there are top tips for builders who want to tend to their LEGO lawn.

Also packed into Issue 68’s 116 pages are regulars including Month in LEGO, Rebuild Challenge, Ideas Showcase and Month in MOCs.

To get Blocks magazine delivered every month – ahead of the shops – visit www.blocksmag.com and check out the money-saving subscription deals available. Everyone who subscribes to the print edition by July 1 will be in with a chance of winning 75277 Boba Fett Helmet (existing subscribers will automatically be entered into the prize draw).

By in United Kingdom,

Maybe now’s the time to subscribe, with the giveaway.

I usually buy the issues at WHSmith, but that won’t be happening any time soon.

I’m very tempted.

Same here. In Singapore, you have to pay twice as much as the price if you lived in the UK. How could the shipping be that expensive anyways?
