By in United Kingdom,

Well yet again an early morning disappointment for me courtesy of Lego.com. I was all set to buy the set of Sketches, add a few extra small items and get a free 12 in 1, maybe even a Lamborghini, as after all the offer was on until 31/07 or while sticks last. This am amazingly they have sold out of the 12in 1 and Lambos they had yesterday..... how convenient. So I resisted, hopefully get them on another promotion or in shops in a few weeks.

By in Canada,

I like the Brick Sketches, and I hope they do well. Hopefully down the road they will do a Wonder Woman and I'll get that one!

By in Turkey,

I hope someone gets it for me as a present.

By in France,

Saw them in the lego store this morning. Certainly not 20€ worth IMO. My kids weren’t very impressed either. There are better things to be had.

By in United States,

I bought the Batman and Joker ones (at the crack of midnight no less!) I am not a fan of Star Wars so I passed on those. Will I end up regretting this when I want the whole series a few years from now? Hahaha. I added the Mario starter kit so I could use it with the NES released on August 1st.

By in United Kingdom,

I mean they are alright but £18 is way to much.

I like em, but I think they biffed the price point here. Maybe $15? I may get these if I ever see a good sale or markdown, but there's just too much other cool stuff in the pike to get these right now.

By in Germany,

I like some of them. But not at that price.

They seem to be ok as an art project, and a bit more thought as to which triangular piece to use than simple mosaics, but the links to the individual reviews indicate that the build is not that complicated to replicate with spares if you wish to have these. Otherwise, the last time I was in a Lego store it was very difficult to find A4 (or larger) sized boxed sets less than £40, so maybe the price is the new norm for tourists.

By in Sweden,

I am quite tempted by the Batman and Joker. However, definitely not for 249SEK for a hundred and something parts (that's around 24EUR). I guess I'll wait until I can get them for (well) under 20EUR somewhere...

I like this new product line but don’t like the current subjects. I feel the same about the LEGO ART. Maybe it’s the Star Wars and the Marvel fatigue. Hope they bring in more subjects to this line.

By in Poland,

would be nice for 10$. 20 is insane.

@Huw
Now that the parts lists are available through Bricks & Pieces and the instructions are also posted on Lego.com, I looked into how much it would cost to order the pieces directly from Lego based on the cost per part in Bricks & Pieces.

Batman - $18.13

Joker - $21.46

BB-8 - $21.64

Stormtrooper - $21.86

I'm sure people could use BrickLink to gather all of the pieces (except Joker's new eyes which are $0.13 each) for each kit at a slightly lower rate, but this gives a good look at Lego's pricing structure. For $19.99, you get packaging, printed instructions, and time saved.
