Brickset bouts: vote now!

Posted by ,

The last four first round bouts will end today at midday BST:

The outcome of most contests is pretty much decided after the first few hours of voting, but not this time. I've just checked the scores and there are just 2 points separating the sets in one bout, so if you've not already voted, please do so now!

Can you guess which showdown is so close?

I bet the Millennium Falcon and Emerald Night is one of the close ones. Star Wars/ train fans assemble!

My guess: 2 points difference between 10243 Parisian Restaurant & 10255 Assembly Square. :D

My mistake, the sets with 20 points between then are in different bouts. There's only one where it's all to play for, with currently now 3 just points between them!

It's the Ninjago city vs pirates...others are very different in theme or same theme but light years away from eachother

Someone is gonna get hurt if Ninjago City goes out!

For me the most difficult decision was between Hogwarts and the Roller Coaster but I guess its

21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay vs 70620 NINJAGO City

I'd guess it's Barracuda Bay versus Ninjago City.

I understand why everyone went with the big sets but i'd like to have seen some of the equally good and fun smaller sets make the final cut.
Theres been some great smaller sets in the last 20 years

I absolutely agree, but in the end it’s the large sets that really leave a mark

Barracuda Bay and Ninjago City will be the close one.

Parisian Restaurant is universally loved and Hogwarts will have a huge boost from HP fans. Falcon vs EN, not sure if the train fans are enough to counter the biggest set ever, but I do live in hope :)

"What would you think about a second competition, "Best set of the Millennium under £100"??"

Great idea, maybe others in different prices brackets as well.
