Tips and Tricks #16

Posted by ,

Hello everyone, Tiago here with yet another Tips and Tricks!

Today's article will introduce us to office builds so you can start or improve your LEGO City offices!

Coffee Machine

While working for LEGO I went down the dark path of starting a work day with coffee. This build goes well with offices or coffee houses. Drink a coffee while you think about that!

Printer

The most iconic object in an office after desks right? I like the 1x3 tiles making the shape of the trays where you would insert the paper, and this one even has a scanner as well! Very high end.

Water dispenser

Inspired in my gum ball machine from a few articles back, changing the colours and adding some buttons makes for a cool model you can put in a lot of different places! Don't use plastic cups though! Save the planet!

What was your favourite?!

See you all soon!

Oh I'll find use of all these three builds, thanks Tiago.

The printer is my favorite, looks like the real thing! Thanks for sharing your wonderful designs.

Don’t use plastic cups? But china ones don’t have the clutch power!

I love the printer/copier!

These are all fun but I most like the printer/copier -- the printed wedge you used for the control panel made me laugh, because it looks as un-usable as most copiers I've ever had to figure out :)

By in Netherlands,

That printer/copier. Awesome! Need to make this

"While working for LEGO I went down the dark path of starting a work day with coffee." Tiago, if starting your day w/a cup of coffee is a dark path, that makes me a Sith Lord :)

Essssssssspressssssso machine is my FAVORITE! And no, I haven't had coffee today yet. This is me without caffeine.

I love these mini builds. Keep them coming!

If God wanted us to drink coffee, he wouldn't have given us the ability to extract the caffeine from it.

There are two problems with coffee. It tastes like coffee, and it smells like coffee.

Somehow my favourite thing is the table the coffee machine is on

Love the builds, but I'm struggling to figure out what the white feather on the coffee table represents. A snapshot in time of milk splashing out of the jug?

I think it’s just the steam from a cup o’ hot joe. If I remember right, there is an example of this use in the 2019 City Advent calendar.

The coffee machine is AWESOME!

I would pay good money for Lego to come out with poly bags of all of your builds.

@davidedwardsdavis:
@Fingerinsocket:

The coffee machine is the large construct on the left. The only two coffee cups are red. The white feather is coming out of a boxy black object. What boxy black object is commonly seen in the food service industry packed with white (somewhat) fluffy material?

So if you don’t like coffee, what do you drink in the morning to make you less grumpy and patronising?
