Han Solo Carbonite Metal Keychain

5006363 Han Solo Carbonite Metal Keychain is now available at LEGO.com, a few days earlier than anticipated. It's free with purchases of Star Wars sets exceeding £100 / $100 / €100 and coincides with the release of 75318 The Child.

In Europe, you'll also receive 40413 Mini Robots, which has returned as a GWP, and 30464 El Fuego's Stunt Cannon, too.

It comes in a box which is almost as cool as the metal keyring itself, so place your order now.

It does look nice, but I cant justify the £100, especially when the SW Advent Calendar is out of stock.. I'm also wondering, is it Lego ? Its Metal...... same debate as the Wooden Large Figure I suppose. It has a Lego logo on and looks like the Lego plastic one. Can we have a traditional plastic versions please, for any spend above £35..........................

I really don't understand why people are being so down on this, I think it's brilliant. Compare and contrast how grumpy everyone was to find out that black metal brick keyring was plastic.

By in United Kingdom,

I'm a bit gutted I pre-ordered 'The Child' and it has already been shipped. Can't justify another £100 but could have topped up the £70 I already spent; would have cancelled my pre-order and ordered another one for the GWP. Oh well, I don't need another keyring but it looks so shiny!

By in United Kingdom,

The gifts are stacking at the moment too: this keychain, 40413 Mini Robots set and 30464 El Fuego's Stunt Cannon polybag.

By in United Kingdom,

^ Ah yes, the robots have returned. Clearly they didn't get rid of them all during the last promotion...

Mini robots out of stock again

By in United Kingdom,

Ordered The Mandorlorian for £120 to get the keychain, robots and stunt canon. Seemed appropriate since Season 2 starts today in the UK :)

By in Australia,

For Australia it's Star Wars purchases over A$199, but several cool, new sets are out of stock (e.g. The Child, The Razor Crest)

By in United Kingdom,

You know, I'm mildly disappointed that the box design doesn't resemble the surrounding wall of Jabba's palace, where he was displayed in Return of the Jedi... xD

By in United Kingdom,

Hmmm... Decision time. Do I go for the Sith art panel, or Baby Yoda plus some extra? Tough choice.

By in Belgium,

It's actually possible to get 4 GWPs with a spend of approx. €140 - first time I've ever noticed this.

There's the Star Wars keyring with a spend of over €100 on SW, which automatically gets you the Mindstorms set and the Hidden Side stun cannon. Then if you add €40 worth of Mario sets, you get the Mario polybag too.

By in Sweden,

@aleydita In Sweden you may also get the Lamborghini 30342 polybag, making it 5 GWP!

(You really need to order Star Wars and Super Mario products for the specified value though - in another comment someone claimed you could order anything for that value and just add the smallest possible Star Wars product on top, but no that doesn't work, at least not in Sweden.)

It's so cool, and so worth the cost. Its especially nice compared to the 90s version.

And that is what I just did, came out at 156 Euro, but still a good grab! :D

By in United States,

Thanks for the heads up; I was ready to go Sunday with the Stormtrooper and TIE Pilot helmets, but was able to put them in today and got the keychain.

By in United States,

hells i wasn't going to do this, but dagnabbit the new season of The Mandalorian starts tonight so sure bought Razor Crest, no willpower at all . . . . .

By in United Kingdom,

Well, I've scoured the Lego website looking for items or combos which I could justify to myself were worth buying to get three or four 'free' gifts, but try as I might, I couldn't... sad times.

So, instead of that I've decided to slag off the keyring instead to make me feel better, especially once these are on eBay for £XXX :D

Hans arms look really, really weird. His shoulder joints would we need to be at his hips to make that position possible.

Aahh, I feel better already.

Done. Ordered The Razor Crest. I’m such a sucker for these ‘freebies’.

Can I list The LEGO Group as a dependent on my income taxes? :P

Personally I think $100 is a high bar for a keychain GWP. The timing is also suspect. The only new release set is well below the minimum and most of the sets $100+ are either sold out or have been available for a while. The keychain itself is brilliant and I'd probably pay $15 for it specifically but I'm not going to piece together a Star Wars order I'd typically not place to get it. That's my hot take.

By in United Kingdom,

I wish they'd update the carbonite piece to match the 'new' Han Solo hair piece, which is now many many years old...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Order placed!

I don't understand all the griping about this. Sure, it's not a set, but it's a VERY nice item.

Enjoy your mini robots, Europe!

Ordered the Razorcrest to get the key-ring as well, was going to wait until next weekend when I'll be near a LEGO store but as it started early, didn't want them to run out and miss the chance to get one.
IMO this is one of the best promos so far this year.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just called my local LEGO Store, and they’re giving them out early, too.

@Lego34s :
At Brickworld Chicago, someone noticed several years ago that the event was held in a hotel/conference center...with a pool. So the logical thing to do was to hold LEGO boat races! Yes, seriously. The rules stated that everything had to be "100% LEGO", but that definition was widened to include anything that came in a LEGO set, anything that was produced as the result of a licensing partnership, or anything that was produced _for_ The LEGO Company. One of the variants on the boat race was one where you could actively try to sink your opponents to knock them out of the race. So one guy got one of the yellow tubs that they dump CMF packets into and used that as his boat hull (produced for The LEGO Company), and a LEGO-branded squirt gun (licensed product) which he equipped with some sort of feed line (possibly pneumatic tubing?) that he could drop into the pool for an endless supply of ammo, with the idea that he would now have an unsinkable beast that could drench the electronic bits of any competitors (he was one of the event organizers and had made a standing offer attached to the event in general to replace any electronics that got destroyed, just so that wouldn't stand in the way of people being willing to participate). It was 100% legal per the rules, but very little of it was something that you'd consider to be a LEGO part. As I recall, everything worked great...except for propulsion. And steering. Borg cubes work in space, but not so much in water.

@MrClassic:
That's something that may work some times but not others. It's been a regular complaint that they set the bar at one penny over the price of a set, so they mark a set at $99.99 and make you spend $100 to get the GWP. Recently I was just checking to see if a GWP offer had gone live, and I was able to get it to trigger on a $100 threshold by adding a single $99.99 set to my bag. It let me off the hook for being a penny short, which is the first time I've seen that happen. I mean, I've had a LEGO Store manager offer to do the same once when it was clear that I was having trouble finding _something_ to get me that last penny or two, but LEGO.com is run by heartless computers.

By in Canada,

Love how this is the second exclusive GWP they have offered in Canada while all the desirable sets are sold out! The cantina and Sith Lego Art are the only sets I am planning to purchase and they have both been out of stock for over a month! So frustrating!

By in Denmark,

That is strange, i dont get any gift in my basket when i make a purchase from denmark, for example the child for 750 Dkk.

Is it already sold out, or am i missing something.

Not showing up in UK either, and apparently Spain too. If they are out of stock, then that must have been a very limited quantity. With the high spend limit required to obtain one of these keyrings I am very surprised to see them go so quickly. I was just about to make a big purchase - maybe I'll wait.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Gutted sold out in UK, I literally just got the cash together for A-Wing UCS, Guess I'll wait as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bought the Razor Crest at the Lego store by me tonight; I completely forgot this promotion was going and was quite pleasantly surprised to be given this along with my purchase.

Well damn then yes. Guess i saved those money then O:-)

By in United States,

@Huw, the item notes for set 5006363 have a typo regarding the alternate "set" number: should be 5006290 instead of 50006290.
