Already made my order and got both GWPs
As always, the flesh was weaker than the mind, so I gave in yesterday and ordered the NES set. Got both GWPs and used a 50 Euro VIP point voucher to soften the blow. Now onto Black Friday...
;-)
Unless 10267 comes back in stock, I won’t make the threshold for either, alas.
Already ordered online, AND shopped in store and got both items x2, plus all the 2x points!
Unfortunately all the items I wanted are out of stock.
Guess I'll have to resort to ebay for my Christmas Carol set.
Online in the U.S., 10274 ECTO-1 went out of stock today Nov 21 as predicted, while 75192 Millennium Falcon and 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer have re-appeared in stock after a long time away.
42111 Dom's Dodge Charger and 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System recently increased their allowed order limit from 2 to 3.
Pleasantly surprised to see both promo's available. Hoping this keeps up for the black Friday deals.
I got up at midnight last night to put my order in. They waited until 5 minutes ago (just over 20 hours after purchase) to tell me it's backordered now. Two minutes later it says it's in stock. I don't know what's going on.
@StudlyMcBrickster:
I got a notification this morning that the Elf Clubhouse was back in stock, but didn't notice until ninety minutes later. By that time it was listed as temporarily out of stock...again. I hadn't actually planned to order online anyways, so I made the trip to my local LEGO Store. I also hadn't reserved anything, so when I walked in the door they said that someone in the checkout line had the last unreserved copy of Ecto-1 (but they were also out of posters, so there's no rush to buy it anymore). I asked about the Batmobile, which was not on the shelf today, or the last time I visited the store. Turns out they've pulled several older sets into the back room to make room for newer stuff. They can still bring them out for anyone who asks for them, and they can restock them to shelves if something else sells out and they need to plug a gap.
Need that Cantina Set to be in stock. Heck I don’t know why LEGO does not allow a purchase for extended back order. They allowed a really long pre-order on The Razor Crest.
The Teal 2x4 brick is now longer available in the US.

Why do you say that? It appears in my online shop bag after adding enough purchase items.

Hmm, that’s strange. It’s not showing up in my cart at all. The Charles Dickens set does but not the teal brick even with more than $200.

I just added a large item to my cart and both promos were added to my cart (US). You might try deleting something and adding it back? I'm not sure.
The teal brick added to my cart and was still there when I finished checkout but isn't listed on the email confirmation. :(
Hopefully, it arrives anyway.
Managed to get both of mine at 00:05 on Saturday morning!! Didn’t want to risk missing out! Anyone know what the black Friday offers are?

Same, I even had to add a minifig to get over the $200 threshold. The Teal Brick was in my cart, but not on my order status or confirmation email. Yet, I can still add items to my cart and the Teal Brick shows up.

There the Charles dickens book with a purchase of $150 and a small Christmas tree with a purchase of $40
Plus some items may be on sale
And if you buy the Colosseum there is a mini chariot and driver.
When I placed an order at 0:05 yesterday, 10274 ECTO-1 was backordered until 25 November, which was acceptable; the info was mentioned in the confirmation e-mail. However, this morning I got exactly the same e-mail, except that the item is now backordered until 9 December! First time it's happened to me!

I’ve generally found that anything I’ve ordered on back order comes quicker than the expected date. Fingers crossed they won’t be long, I’m waiting for the same :-)
I was just told by TLG that the free offers are one per household, I was going to place a second order for the haunted house but wont bother now. Anyone else done more than one order to gain multiple offer sets?

I once got a double GWP in - person at the LEGO Store, but that was because I went there twice in one day. It likely doesn't work like that on the site.

That's always been in the T&C but I've never known it to be enforced for online orders.

I have placed three separate orders over the £150 threshold over the weekend and all three have shown in warehouse with two being shipped already.
I picked up the 89 Batmobile in store yesterday and got both GWPs. Currently, I can get Dickens to add to cart, but not the teal brick. I assumed it was sold out, but reading through some of the comments (all from the US, so all ordering from the same LEGO.com), it looks like some people are not seeing the teal brick add to cart while others are. Either it really is out of stock in the US, or they're putting a strict limit of one per household for LEGO.com orders even if you got yours from a B&M purchase.
@HandPositions:
In store purchases can vary quite a bit. At their discretion, they can deny you additional GWPs if you try to make two purchases on the same day. Most likely you'll run into this if you try to ring up twice at the same time. If you go at the start and end of the day (during non-pandemic conditions), chances are a completely different staff will be closing, and nobody will even know you were there in the morning. Depending on whether you're on good or bad terms with the store management, that may also influence your ability to get multiple GWPs in one day. And if you live someplace like Chicago, you can simply hit up multiple stores.
@sjr60:
They're getting more strict with online orders. Purchase limits are now lifetime limits, meaning once you've maxed out your limit for a baseplate, adding it to another order will get the entire order cancelled. These limits don't apply to successive purchases in store, but they will most likely prohibit you from making multiple purchases in one trip unless you drag along additional family members or friends.
The difference is that the website is all coded to work a specific way, regardless of how big a tantrum the customer is throwing at home. In store, they have to deal with the people standing in front of them, so sometimes they might have to ban someone from the store, other times they might just have to suck it up and deal with an unpleasant situation, and other times they might do minor favors for valued customers.
Over the last few years I often got several orders in and all included the GWPs. Don't know about this year as I only placed one order so far.

This is really perplexing to me. It's going on 2 months now that the set's been completely unavailable!
I followed the Brickset affiliate link to purchase the Cantina this weekend with Double VIP points (that's more than £30 back in points) and I got 3 GWP (1st the Charles Dickens, 2nd the Green Brick and 3rd a mystery polybag added after a simple promo code search). Those 3 GWP represent maybe about £65 of free Lego. So I gained around £95 in points and GWP value. Add to that I cashed in £30 of VIP points I already had so the Cantina came down to £289. Then factor in the additional £95 worth of benefits - this means the Cantina cost me around £196 instead of £319. Thank you Brickset ! Thank you Lego.

Two £150+ orders and 2 Dickens GWPs, so no rule tightening here!

I suspect it's simply down to the warehouse that your order comes from being out of stock. Presumably the US is supplied from several different warehouses, hence the different experiences. There wouldn't be one rule applied to the Teal Brick, and not to the Dickens Tribute.
For me the Teal Brick is now not available, but was earlier (Belgium warehouse), not that I particularly wanted the 1st, let alone a 2nd!

I believe the small tree is “in store” only promo if I’m not mistaken.

Looks like both GWP now out of stock as website updated and shows none of these in baskets or on the webpage - only double points
Hope everyone got a Dickens Set?
Oh gash darn it.. my wife finally gave me the go ahead to order more legos and now the teal brick seems to be gone. So mad at myself for not ordering sooner...

Probably more available next weekend. Last year the Christmas Tree was available both weekends (but not the Red Brick)
