Friends Advent Calendar - Day 6

Posted by ,

After a few days with builds in Emma's bedroom, yesterday we ventured outside with a mailbox as the daily build.

Perhaps we'll see the start of a new theme today, especially as there's a ribbon on the door, indicating we may see another minidoll.

Today we have an adorable little elf! The hat (with ears), head, and body are all new to this set. The hat (with ears) piece looks to be the same as the piece used for the elves in 10275, with of course the difference in ear colour. The head is a regular minidoll head, so it does seem a little large for the body. But it's so cute! I love the detailing of the printed freckles on the elf's face, and the beautifully detailed (and tiny!) printing on the front of the torso. The shirt is a bright green, which contrasts well with the red pointed collar, red buttons, and red belt with a gold buckle. The trousers are sand green, and while I wish there were some printed boots, I won't quibble as the torso looks great.

Unfortunately the printing does not extend to the back, but the front of the elf looks terrific. The elf also has the ability to hold things, which is fantastic. Today they're holding a bow, which is - of course! - purple.

The purple streak lives! I love the little elf. I think we've definitely moved to Santa's workshop now.

Only part of the Friends calendar worth getting so far.

Deary me, I'm not sleeping tonight. This looks really unnatural to me compared to regular minidolls.

This guy is one of the reasons I bought the Friends Advent Calendar. And I am not disappointed.

Ok, why can't LEGO make a Link figure oh right, Nintendo.

I'm really impressed and satisfied with the quality of the prints, so crisp and clear, on such small parts. That torso piece is a little masterpiece in its category. Look at that golden belt buckle, lined up with black. Excellent.

This here is the main reason I paid £20 for this calendar, ahaha

So cute, I love these mini-mini dolls. I loved the mini-mini dolls in the story books so when I saw these elves it made this calendar a buy.

This reminds me of Sunny, the elf from Strange Magic.

@Golem25:
I find that, compared to industrial furnaces, active volcanoes can be quite hot as well.

I love how they’re repurposing these body pieces from the storybook sets in 2021! They work pretty well for smaller minidolls.
