Friends Advent Calendar - Day 15

Posted by ,

With the hiccup of the skateboard, Santa's workshop has been a great series of builds. Today's door has a ribbon on it, indicating that we'll see another minidoll. I expect it will be a coworker to the elf we met on Day 6, which seems like a long time ago.

Today's elf is identical to the elf we met earlier in the calendar, with the exception of the accessory they're holding. Today's is a gold feather. I'm not entirely sure what the feather would be for, other than dusting off the toys before loading them up on Santa's sleigh.

I took this picture to show the feather; and on uploading it noticed that the angle I took the picture makes the elf's collar look partly black. The collar is all red, but seeing the picture did make me think that it would be nice if the elves had some colour differentiation among the outfits.

Alas, no purple today, but again, I don't mind because the elf is so cute.

By in Australia,

I imagine the feather is meant to be a quill. Santa's so busy that he's delegating his "checking off the list" task to one of the elves.

I'm telling you. These guys are overworked and underpaid.

Is the red print _red_, or some sort of metallic red? The belt looks almost black, too, and metallic prints can sometimes swallow up the light (or more accurately, reflect it all away).

I wish they had more than just two of these cute little things, and I wish they had different faces but nothing too major.

I hope that golden feather is used on next day

I love how the ears are nearly as big as the elves' torsos! Really cute design

Did anyone else get two elves in the Day 6 door? This makes three elves for our workshop. I'm now beginning to think we received a "Bank error in your favor, collect extra Elf", no complaints. It would seem our workshop elves are not as over worked as others, but definitely underpaid!

Bold of you to assume that they are even being paid at all...

I don't think so. Lego's given minifigs quill pens before and they used a different piece, a piece that the elves would be able to hold. I think this is supposed to be decoration for something, like the Day 6 elf's ribbon.

@Fingerinsocket:
It spent all year digging a tunnel so it could effect its escape from the “jolly fat man”, only to pop up right in the staging area where elves are loaded into the trays...

Just a different head / face would have been nice...

A difference would have been nice, but I do have plenty of spare heads around
