Friends Advent Calendar - Day 19
Posted by MeganL,It seems we've transitioned from Santa's workshop to the winter wonderland for our final theme of the calendar. Yesterday's build took us outside with a campfire and some beverages. What other winter activities await us?
It looks like the traditional toilet paper roll thrower has jumped calendars! Today we have a snow catapult. As opposed to the City calendar, where the catapult always seemed to be in boring colours, this one comes in a nice blue. Additional variety is provided for the ammunition, with the smoke piece and the two swirl pieces. As a result, there's no toilet rolls to be flung. Can it even be called a toilet paper roll thrower then?
Even though it comes in at only 8 pieces, I like the diverse use of parts and winter colours. But distressingly, it seems we've moved away from purple.....

Throwing that whipped cream. Minifig version of Pie Face?
I suppose this year there aren't enough toilet rolls even in Heartlake City, to fling around

Yeah, I just realised, it's 2020 and toilet paper is a valuable resource, so they've armed the catapult with whipped cream.

Nah, it’s something far more sinister than whipped cream. Since toilet paper is such a commodity now, they’ve taken to flinging their dog poo instead. Can’t waste paper on corgis anymore!
I'm going to assume that they're molded snow shapes, because the optics of elves that work for a guy who sneaks out every chimney in the world shooting blobs of whipped cream at an underage girl seem a bit...out of touch.
