Friends Advent Calendar - Day 23

We're almost there! The penultimate day of our advent calendar! We've had quite a variety of builds over the course of the last 22 days. Let's see if the build behind door number 23 is worth the wait.

Coming in with 28 pieces (5 spares), this is the highest part count for the calendar. I'm glad that the designer saved the biggest build until near the end. This is a fine Christmas tree, with slope pieces used for two levels of branches. Ornaments are provided in appropriate Friends colours (pale pink, pale blue, and gold), and of course there's a gold star at the top. But sadly, no purple....

Finally we have a tree to put those presents from Day 17 under, though we're still missing the person who might brings those presents (other than the elves, of course).

Oh, the elves are fertilizing that tree by now...

And blue and pink make purple.

The ornaments 'hanging' from the branches is good, but the transition from the main part of the tree to the tip looks a bit clunky. I think I prefer the City calendar tree.

I’m actually partial to the wedge-plate trees they’ve done in both HPACs and the Gingerbread House.
