Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 20
Posted by CapnRex101,Our third exclusive minifigure arrived yesterday, before whatever is intended to connect with the table from day eighteen. Hopefully that mystery will be resolved today.
Accio whatever might be concealed behind door number twenty!
Another table has emerged, featuring the same ice sculptures as the aforementioned table alongside several colourful drinks. Once again, I think the ice sculpture looks fantastic and I appreciate the use of trans-clear 1x1 pyramids, particularly because a spare is provided with each table. Moreover, I like the trans-light blue and trans-orange glasses situated here, even though they contrast with the opaque colours used on the other table.
Technic pins are included today, attaching this table to its predecessor and forming a circular display. Similar tables are presented with 75948 Hogwarts Clock Tower, although this version appears vastly superior. I think the bright colours are particularly effective. However, there are angles from which the black Technic pins are visible beneath the table and they look awkward.
While the tables look excellent when joined together, they can also be displayed independently and look equally appealing in that configuration. Such varied options for display with an Advent Calendar are definitely welcome and these tables nicely complement the models from previous days.
Overall - 4.5 - This table lacks the striking colours of its counterpart but remains attractive and uniting them creates an impressive centrepiece for the Yule Ball.

If you only use one technic pin in the middle hole it wont show up, it also makes it easier to separate them later if you feel like it.
I love it when these advent builds connect, the other window/fireplace did look a bit short and odd, but this one works extremely well!
I think they look better displayed as 2 separate halves as you get more bang for your buck.
I think the ice castle looks too large when both tables are joined together.
I was trying to find the picture of the table that I'd found two days ago, and instead found a picture with _two_ tables. This one looks more like one that has spiral arms of drinks arranged around a giant ice sculpture. Directly opposite it is another table with a similar ice sculpture, and various types of seafood on display. So the tables are obviously designed to connect, but it may be more accurate to keep them split up.
@Inkomi:
_Or_, they do give you a spare pin, so it's possible to use three and make it even harder to separate them!
