6/15: could, and should, have done better!

haha Lloyd garmadon... if only we had a Ninjago Minifigures series

By in Germany,

12/15 Love these trivia challenges! I collected a lot during the first series but it got less over the years. These days I don't buy any for myself, just as a present. Favorite series of mine by far: 14. Always take them out every October. And to be honest, I don't care too much about xmas, they're still on display! Just love them, best and coolest minifigures ever!

11/15 with no peeking at other pages

Gravatar
By in United States,

12/15 and finished surprisingly fast ! glad I beat Huw lol ;)

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

11/15 not too shabby at all. They're really starting to pare down the series with the reduction from 16 to 12 but it might be better long term to avoid repetition. The hermit crab in the upcoming series 20 is adorable! :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

6/15 quite shocking tbh...

Gravatar
By in Austria,

9/15! ... could have been better!

Gravatar
By in United States,

14/15! I'm proud of myself : )

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

9/15, which isn't too shabby considering a lot of them were guesses IMO.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

7/15, not bad, don’t know a lot about CMFs, got the odd one here and there. At least I beat Huw!

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

7/15. Whoops!

Gravatar
By in France,

This was such a fun test - I had to think very hard.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

12/15 ! Thats good enough for me!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

7/15 as usual great trivia and extra info to inform you to show off in a socially distanced group

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

6/15. Respect for those that only have a few wrong!
Edit: and for others as well of course. Each to its own.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

14/15. I figured out last one, albeit with a fawlty logic, yet it was right. :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ha - here to bring the average down. 2/15. Our house has only known and collected these the past 2 years, so we've missed a lot of series. I had to guess on nearly every question. As the last knight from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade would say - "I have chosen poorly".

Gravatar
By in Estonia,

First instincts should be trusted. Got 10/15 but would've got 13/15 if I just hadn't started doubting myself. Oh well it really was a fun quiz, thanks Cap!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well, 9/15... I'm back to my average of slightly over half again xD

Though to be fair, the Collectable Minifigure range started just as I was entering my 'dark age', so I didn't see more than series 1 at the time... and though I've looked back through most of the CMFs here on Brickset in the years since, I don't store in memory the order they were released, the series number each one came from, or dates of release.

That said, I think I did pretty fair, since three of the questions I missed fell into those categories. Then question 1 was a case of not paying attention on my part... and 14 was a dumb mistake because I got the correct answer mixed up with a similar minifigure who *wouldn't* have been the odd one out in that scenario. The final question, I forgot to factor the waves based on the various Lego movies into my rough calculations, throwing my number off. Also question 13 was a complete guess for me and I'm amazed I got it right!

And 6 I *almost* went for the right answer instinctively, then second-guessed myself at the last minute. As I often do xD

Gravatar
By in Canada,

12/15. I guess I pay more attention to CMF's than I thought I did.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

13/15. Fair play!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

8/15 without googling answers. More luck than wisdom...

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/15 - Best I've ever done on one of these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

13/15. I usually stink at these. But I knew most all of these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

6/15...and considering I don't obsessively collect these because I don't enjoy feeling up packs when I see them at Target (especially during a pandemic), I'm surprised I got some of these correct which weren't just a guess.

I'm not great on knowing a series by its number. That's the biggest reason I did so poorly. Ask me what ones were in Series 10 and I can't tell you...but ask me what other minifigs were in the series with the red cheerleader and I could rattle off a bunch.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love a CMF, so had high hopes entering this quiz of doing well and I've come out pretty pleased with my result - 12/15 not bad if you ask me.

I got the amount of CMFs made wrong cause I underestimated the total, got the order of Statues wrong cause of poor memory XD and finally got the question of the most CMF that has a name shared with another cmf wrong.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

12/15 - schoolboy error on photographer & penguin, guesses on the statuettes and pop star in S2.

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/15 could have done better but still beat Huw.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

7/15 not so good with numbers

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That was fun, thanks.
I achieved 7/15

Personal stats: I've somehow amassed about 106 of them..
My first was the Minotaur from series 6 - which my daughter and I both picked random out of the box and both got the same (They were £0.60p in ASDA)
My last was Fred Weasley from HP
The only series I collected all was 19

Gravatar
By in Spain,

15/15. For a Collectible Minifigure fanatic as me, it was a must!! I have all the series, so, I know them all. I have admit that I have verified some of them, but I have all the papers with the figures in a book about them!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I got 15/15. I admit I did research for some of them but I still guessed on several of them & some of my research was just to confirm my guess.

Gravatar
By in United States,

9/15 could've had 3 more correct but I debated with my initial thoughts & choose wrong (on the baseball team, odd one out & total minifigs)....the other 3 I missed, I had no idea about. So much fun.

Wow time flies, I remember getting my 1st one from series 2, from an actual LEGO store (they are not close by) wasn't one that I really wanted, he has the maracas & sombrero. I liked him better overtime, but started feeling the packets after that. Decided to make it a guessing game of feeling packets with my family, they loved it & we still get together to guess them each series.

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/15 Not bad at all.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Which of the following minifigures is the odd one out? is basically a 'Guess what's in my head' question. As they all could be odd ones out for different reasons.

Got 10/15, would have been 11 but second guessed myself on one question and changed my answer...

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/15

Not too bad considering the only series I own are the two Disney series!

Gravatar
By in United States,

14/15, it helps that I have all of the CMFs on display right in front of me. Only thing I missed was the name that’s been used twice, and I’m still a little confused by the question. I didn’t realize it meant the exact same name and not containing the same name. I didn’t think any of them could have identical names. Tricky, tricky.

Gravatar
By in Hong Kong,

I got 12/15, which I think is shocking since I purely guessed for questions on the earlier series

Gravatar
By in United States,

I can’t believe I got 15/15 !!!! That was some really lucky guessing, as there were two or three questions that I had no idea what the answer was. Thanks again for the quizzes!

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/15. Thanks for the fun and very challenging quiz!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

14/15 I got the question about Series 2 wrong. I had completely forgot there was a Spartan in Series 2 0_0

Gravatar
By in United States,

13/15, a bit easier than I thought it was going to be tbh

Gravatar
By in South Africa,

11/15 Why was cheerleader not also a correct answer for question 10?

There was a blue cheerleader in Series 1, a red cheerleader in Series 8 and a Zombie cheerleader in Series 14

Gravatar
By in United States,

Heck yeah! A theme I'm really knowledgeable about! I got 11, but two were misclicks from my phone. Look, I don't care enough about Brickset's opinion to lie.

I didn't realize Viking was a reused name and I didn't take time to do math for the total of all CMFs, however, so those were legit wrong answers. That was really fun, though!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

12/15 Great quiz! I got the connection in the odd one out, but didn't know enough about the newest figs to land it. Also picked the wrong candidate for repeated name, and guessed the wrong total number of figs.

""LEGO has produced 565 Collectable Minifigures since 2020"

The amount is probably right but.. not the year xD 565 collectible minifigures in a year would be awesome but so unaffordable for me and many others..."

Thanks, that has now been corrected!

The exact name 'Cheerleader' has only been used once, as you mention, so is incorrect. The exact name of the correct answer has been used twice.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

11/15 Not bad as I guessed some answers and didn‘t googled any answer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/15
Reading all those collectible figure books has finally paid off!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

9/15... okay

Gravatar
By in United States,

wow, I performed terribly, but still fun!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was able to score 15/15, but would have missed the question about twice-used names without doing any research (leaning forward and looking at my fridge in the next room does not constitute "research"). I was able to ballpark the total number of CMFs, and after actually doing the math I came up one short of the "correct" answer because I forgot about Mr. Gold (so counted S10 as 16 minifigs instead of 17). However, don't the Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder also count?

@joejkirsten:
They were Cheerleader, Red Cheerleader, and Zombie Cheerleader (there's also a Green Cheerleader from one of the Bricktober packs).

The odd one out didn’t make sense or the name one"

It's their accessories, the teddy bear element which is included with three of them

Gravatar
By in United States,

13/15, missed the order of the statuettes, and the year for series 10

Gravatar
By in Australia,

10 from 15. I'm okay with that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

8/15. Should have done better considering I have been collecting minifigures for considerably longer than there have been CMFs.

Didn’t do any research though. If I had, I would probably have got 15. I have the leaflet of every series except the German football team’s.

@chief7575 , You may not have great knowledge of CMFs, but at least you’re open and honest about it. I suspect there are quite a few people who didn’t do well.

@Huw , Can we please see a running average (mean) of everyone who has completed the quiz?

@Zander said:

The average score is 8.26 at the time of writing, after 1484 people have taken the quiz. Well done to the 23 people who have achieved full marks thus far!

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/15, though I must admit there were definitely some lucky guesses.

Gravatar
By in United States,

If you paid retail price for all of them... how much would you have spent?

Gravatar
By in United States,

9/15, about as well as I usually do. Just glad I guessed correctly on the last question!

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Don’t even go there. :o)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I got 15 (without cheating of course), the answer to the 1st question helps with the hardest last question.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Darn, now I want a koala costume :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

11/15, with a little help from the poster on my wall. Is it cheating if it's directly opposite you?

Gravatar
By in Poland,

8/15, so it's better than Huw!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

9/15 Not bad. This is a fantastic Quiz and I really enjoyed it ! Thank you for the Efford putting it together

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

11/15... better than usual for these quizzes, but really I should've known them all; I was trying my hardest not to look at my massive wall display of CMF leaflets, but they could've helped me out a bit!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

13/15 - It's the best I've ever done!

My thoughts exactly.

I got the odd one out question wrong, because I picked the N-pop girl. That’s the only figure from a licensed series.

Gravatar
By in France,

12/15, my memory works well for the early series, but when it became more installed in 2013, I have less memory for this period.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

12/15. Pretty happy

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

5 but then I feel better because huw got 6....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

10/15

I made the wrong connection on the Odd One Out, instead going off the fact that one came from a 'licensed' theme, with the Lego Ninjago Movie, and the other 3 are from the standard serial series's

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/15, all from memory

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well 5/15 isn't that bad considering that I have only bought like 5 of them and have never done extensive research on the series

Gravatar
By in United States,

9/15 is that a passing grade? I missed all the ones I guessed at, so that's a solid 9. Not too bad IMO.

As of about 24 hours ago, the average was 8.26 according to CapnRex101, so 9 should be a passing grade.

It’s very important that you and indeed everyone scores well. If not, you won’t be allowed to buy CMFs ever again. Not offline. Not online. Nowhere. Ever. Very important. Very. :~P

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

8/15. Just passed :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/15 Best Score!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

10/15
I own them all (except Mr Gold) - so I'm happy with that !
