Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Brickset!

We hope you all have a great day today, despite difficult circumstances, and that some of your presents rattle when shaken! Don't forget to add your new acquisitions to your collection here: we collectively own 27,553,711 sets at the moment, so let's see if we can get it to 28 million by the end of the year.

We'll be taking it easy today, but tomorrow we'll be back with a review of one of the most anticipated sets of next year and an exclusive interview with its designer, which you won't want to miss.

Huw, Chris, Megan and Alice -- the Brickset team.

Do you have Christmas money to spend? Need inspiration? Here are all the 2021 set reviews we've published so far:

In looking at the time stamp when this was posted, three in the morning, I think Huw was staying up trying to see Santa Claus deliver his presents. Huw! Tsk, tsk.

Merry Christmas! Thanks to all you guys who run this awesome site.

By in United States,

If we could add the sets we gave as gifts to people I bet the AFOL community would break the heck out of that goal lol. Huw, can you all add a button to set as "gifted"? I enjoy donating to Toys for Tots each year and they should get counted as sets owned, not by me, but by the children who need them.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Tomorrow's review, what will it be? I'm hoping for one of the botanical sets or the Spring Lantern festival.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

28m sets by the end of the year? I reckon we'll be at 28m by the end of the day!

Season's greetings to one and all. To Huw, Chris, Megan and Alice, whose efforts mean that Brickset is still the best Lego destination on the internet. To all the members who take the time to write reviews (that's my New Year's resolution right there - write at least one review a month), and to everyone who makes the Brickset Forum my most visited site. It's funny, interesting, educational, good-natured and an endless source of inspiration when I'm trying to think of new ways to (ahem) get Lego into the house unnoticed...

2020 has been a pretty strange year, made tolerable in part by your good selves.

Here's to a considerably better 2021.

May your Christmas and New Year rattle in a familar way!

Cheers.

In the UK, where Brickset is run from, the word Christmas is not a political statement. You're basically being told "have a nice day". There's no "funny foreigners have ruined good Christian values" subtext.

Just because you don’t celebrate Christmas doesn’t mean you must ruin the fun for everybody else. Howzabout some festive tolerance?

and denn, remember... eh whatevs, never mind have fun etc blah blah. Please continue politicising anything and everything. Merry Christmas and Happy Solstice!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Bah humbug! Only joking. No one is buying me Lego this year, I’ve spent enough on myself that would make your eyes water!

Hope everyone gets plenty of Lego to keep them busy until the end of the year.

I expect tomorrow’s announcement is the new modular...

He had issues here in the North Coast in California, it was VERY windy last night...... and still is.

Got 60258 from Santa, I see what is a 31108-shaped present under the tree.

@ Isabella_and_Lego_Liker Same high winds and torrential rain here in Connecticut too. Luckily we didn’t wake up to a flooded basement or any fallen trees this morning. I’ll take that as a Christmas miracle!

Hope my fellow Bricksetters had a happy and peaceful day filled with our favourite plastic bricks :-)

Merry Christmas everyone and stay safe!!!

Merry Christmas, all! My son will be building Lego Mario any moment now!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me... a LEGO set under the tree...

No, to be honest I didn't get any sets this year or anything brick-related. But never mind, could be worse.

Merry Christmas to y'all anyway!

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Peace and love, y'all. Have a great holiday season. And long live Brickset!

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ First Christmas in a long time that I didn't get any Lego, either. I don't know, just nothing really appealed to me recently. Hoping for UCS TIE Bomber or a new steam locomotive, something worthy to follow up Emerald Night some time soon. And I never did manage to catch the Gingerbread house in one of the few windows it was actually available. It's ok, though--this year it'll just enjoy my Lego vicariously through the kids :)
