Relatively new LEGO licensee Chronicle is continuing to launch stationery, jigsaw puzzles and books this year. The latest title to be released is We Just Click: Little LEGO Love stories, just in time for Valentine's Day.

The small 128-page hardback by Aled Lewis contains pictures of minifigures in various humorous situations and what I found most interesting is that they look like photos but have actually been created using Mecabricks, so it's an excellent showcase for what's possible with that platform.

You'll find a few sample spreads after the break.

LEGO WE JUST CLICK Little LEGO Love Stories • By Aled Lewis (Chronicle Books, £11.99)

LEGO minifigures don’t play around when it comes to matters of the heart! We Just Click is a sweet and humorous look at love within the zany LEGO universe. Fifty pairs of iconic minifigures answer a timeless prompt (“I knew we clicked when . . .”) by sharing heartwarming moments of romance, friendship and love, in all its diverse forms. With a little something for the LEGO lover in each of us, We Just Click features a different relationship on each spread, highlighting what our favourite minifigures love about each other with delightful, punny humour. Minifigures were made to fit together and so are we!

As I say, it would make the perfect Valentine's Day gift for the LEGO-lover in your life and it's available from Amazon.co.uk (£9.83) and Amazon.com ($15.95)

Thanks to Chronicle for sending me a book to evaluate. All expressed opinions are my own.

cute... although the minifigs from the 2nd card seem to be faking their smiles so bad

It is a fun little book. I tend to think the best gift is always Lego though!

Ooh, so they're the ones responsible for the stationery last year. Cool! I spotted the products a couple of months back and actually considered getting them — if it wasn't for the fact that I was already carrying some discounted LEGO Classic boxes with me (2x 11004 for 30% off)!

Maybe they're not actually fans of mixtapes?

Aaaw, this is so sweet! Too bad I don’t really know someone this would be a fitting gift for. Still, I might just pick it up for myself. They should make a calendar in this style!

I didn't realise they'd made medium legs in green!

The first thing on my mind when reading “We Just Click” - Clikits. Huwbot’s favourite :D

Wow, so those are renders? That’s insane how realistic they look.

It's a render, so it doesn't actually have to have been made. It doesn't look like they have made medium legs in green yet.

I'm not sure what "You make me feel 10 feet tall" can really mean as a romantic statement other than "I think you're short"!

@chrisaw The classic space helmets give it away; they're a little more polygonal around the top than the real ones.

I for one am pleasantly surprised we're getting some same-sex couples in the mix.

Agreed. Love is love

I like the variety of products that they are trying. I got the minifig puzzle for my kids this Christmas.

I wonder how much they are being paid.... I would say 300 studs is a good salary, although the amount of 100 stud being passed around casually in City says otherwise

Dark green, yes. But not the (standard) green shown in the picture.

There is too often an element of deception or misrepresentation when it comes to CAD/rendering of LEGO which is why I boycott products based upon it and ignore AFOLs' online posts showing it.

Where LEGO's own renders are concerned, I am a little more forgiving because the company maintains a level of honesty, e.g. showing stickers as stickers even in renders.

That first card, while very true, is quite disheartening tbh. Gist, people are awful, thank God for my dog.

I thought the same thing, and it spoke to my inner misanthrope. But my dog is an idiot.

Quite sure they’re not all meant to be romantic. Or at least I hope not, or that first image of the guy and his dog is quite disturbing. Besides, as the article states, the images depict “heartwarming moments of romance, friendship and love, in all its diverse forms.“
Maybe stilt man loves and appreciates his clown friend because of the support and encouragement he gives.

Modelling for AFOL pics doesn't pay what it used to. But when the other few options are mostly in the food/restaurant and toy/sports shop industries, it explains why so many resort to criminal activities to make ends meet.

It's basically that or the police force for too many minifigs.

Whoops, serves me right for skimming the article! That's mad that those are renders. Other than the hair in the first pic, they all look real...

This looks adorable, I want it.

The title Chronicles was also the name of the first era of BIONICLE stories (2001-2003) and was meant to reflect one of the main characters, Takua the Chronicler, who would record the stories of the island's heroes. Kopeke is the latest Chronicler, and we know he's been lonely and seeking company, perhaps he's finally found love <3
