Images of a Minions polybag have been published by Dutch toy wholesaler Eldorado International.

Three other Minions sets revealed last year are yet to be released, due to the delay to the premiere of the Rise of Gru film. That is now said to be opening in cinemas in June so I suspect the sets will be released around that time too.

There are now 27 known polybags in the main 30000-30999 number series scheduled for release this year.

Thanks to Promobricks for the news.

By in United Kingdom,

I'm not really into licenced themes but I really want some Minion minifigs to put in my city (slightly hidden like a kind of Easter egg).

That's adorable.
Captures the spirit & look of Bob brilliantly, plus it has plenty of play potential.

I just can’t imagine your thought process right now...

I like these types of polybags with figures and small builds that arent vehicles.

By in United States,

I’ve been CRAVING some new poly bags lately. Must..feed..the..hunger...

By in Netherlands,

I passed on the whole line, but I'll grab this for representation in the collection. Not only is it cool, a lot of parts in there can also be repurposed.

“KING BOB!!”

As much as I loathe the minions, this is a nice polybag and good use of the minion figure's technic pin hole arm attachment points.

Well you can’t accuse the title of being misleading. That is indeed Bob Minion and he does have Robot Arms.

I hope lego starts selling poly bags on their site. it's so hard to find them in the states. they did offer some last year, will see.

Where do you usually look? Target and Walmart usually carry most polybags in a given year. They're typically in the seasonal area or the wire racks next to the checkout

I hope Bob's original arms are also included so you can switch between the before and after. The other 3 sets seem really expensive, so I hope they do more polybags or standalone mini-figs as these are the main interest and can always incorporate within other standard city sets.

Using these parts for arms are a nice nod to the 1970s figurines <3

By in United Kingdom,

These seem to compare well enough with the Mega Blox minions range from a few years back, which included a couple of very nice vehicles, a huge brick-built minion and at least 5 series of collectable blind bag not-minifigs. A few of the vehicles were in the late lamented Toys'r'Us at a much more affordable price than our favourite toymaker -sorry- BRAND, but I only found the blind bags in a charity shop, oddly enough.

Not into Minions whatsoever but this is a really nice parts pack! Definitely looking forward to grabbing a few of these.

How does he use the control levers to drive the vehicle if his arms have been replaced with those huge mechanical ones?

By in Canada,

Do we know the official reason for not selling them on Lego.com when released like any other set ?

I know that you could find some of them for sale on their site, but it's not all and very random with when and if they'll be available. Since COVID it's extremely rare to see any new polybag in stores, they almost stopped carry new stock (at least in Canada).

@Paperdaisy:
I just did that in our club layout a couple months ago...only it was less “Easter egg” and more “super obvious”. I put Kevin, Stuart, and Bob on the layout together, but Kevin was the large model they released last year. Even with buildings taller than a person nearby, it’s hard not to notice a 6” tall yellow Tic-Tac wearing overalls.

@Mr__Thrawn:
“Bob Minion” makes it sound like that’s his surname. I don’t know if it’s official, but I’ve always used the “Minion Bob” format.

@fakespacesquid:

That still leaves you chasing a few. Where I live, Meijer often gets one or two per year that neither Walmart nor Target get. Last year they were the only place I ever saw the stingray polybag. LEGOLAND stores sometimes carry ones that don’t go to retail chains in the US (for LotR, they were the only source for the Uruk-Hai polybag in the US).

@ambr:
Bob and Otto (not released yet) are the two problem Minions. Otto is wider than the other three, so he only gets to wear the standard blue overalls. Bob is shorter than the rest, so this is pretty much his only facial expression, aside from swapping the eyes around (and since he needs one green eye, that’s a little more difficult for Bob). He comes in the smaller of the two retail sets that are out, so it’s not as big a deal if you don’t get spare arms.

I can't be totally certain, but I think his original arms are included. Bob's shown with standard arms on the bottom left portrait, and it looks like there's something yellow in the included crate.

'Wildlife Rescue' - is that a new City subtheme like Jungle and Arctic?

If you have a Target store near you, you might find them there. Mine always has at lest three or four different ones available.

Could this be a nod to Classic Space set 6806?
