Exclusive building instructions in Blocks magazine issue 76

Posted by ,

The latest issue of Blocks magazine offers a mix of exclusive build projects to inspire fans to get creative. Whether you are always building MOCs, short of inspiration or have never escaped the instructions, there are build instructions that will work for you.

Here are the builds you’ll be able to follow along with in issue 76…

Classic Race Car

Remember the LEGO Race sets from the 1980s and 1990s? The cars in those Town sets didn’t really look much like anything you’d see speeding around the racetrack, but they had a certain LEGO charm. As part of this month’s Blockstalgia, which looks back at the classic sets, we provide instructions for building a modern version of those classic little cars.

Mandalorian Mod

Sometimes it’s easier to take a set and change it than start a build from scratch. If you’ve had Obi-Wan’s Hut on display for a while, a few extra bricks and out step-by-step instructions will demonstrate how to convert it into the Mos Pelgo cantina where Mando comes face to face with Cobb Vanth in Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Grandfather clock

There’s more than one way to build an ornate grandfather clock, as we demonstrate in the Technique guide this month. They are perfect for decorating modular buildings or any other grand interior.

Tree trick

It’s possible to build a really authentic looking tree with just stalk pieces, multi-stud bricks and 1x1 rounds. This quick build shows how and will have your outdoor MOCs looking better than ever.

There are new build instructions every month, with Issue 77 set to include a mod for NINJAGO City Gardens and tips on building different types of cacti for desert scenes. To get new build instructions every month, consider a subscription – check out the money-saving deals available at www.blocksmag.com.

Everyone who subscribes to the print edition by March 3 will be in with a chance of winning 10276 Colosseum and existing subscribers will automatically be entered into the prize draw.

Not sure here, but Lucy's legs from LEGO Movie 2 are a good look.

This article makes me curious if there's any archive out there of models from things like LEGO Club and Brickmaster Magazine.

Brickipedia mentions some of them. Alternate models using pieces from 1 or more sets.
