LEGO has announced the newest product that will be sold exclusively within The LEGO House, 40502 The Brick Moulding Machine!

This unusual model comprises 1205 pieces and costs 599 DKK, currently equating to £69.70 or $97.06. This design takes inspiration from the machine that manufactures and packages 2x4 bricks inside The LEGO House.

You can view additional images after the break...

This medium nougat printed tile seems interesting, reflecting the imminent replacement of plastic bags with paper equivalents.

Are you impressed with this set and would you purchase it if the model became available worldwide? Let us know in the comments.

Would be even cooler if we could move and buy the stuff! No time soon with the current lockdown.

By in Singapore,

cmon, sell this everywhere lego you know people would buy it! To be honest it doesnt display well and looks visually unappealing so i get why it's "limited edition". That printed tile looks crazy cool

Yep, true story! Will show up shortly on Bricklink with some more DKK on top of that recommended retail price! =)

By in United Kingdom,

It's very striking, though I think I prefer the Wooden Duck myself.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, this is really cool. I wish Lego would sell this in the US since we’re international pariahs and can’t fly anywhere. Come on, we gotta get SOMETHING out of COVID.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’d be more interested if there were a few goats in the set

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I work in the metal industry, and I've always wanted to get my hands on set 4000001, so seeing this is just fantastic. I'll grab one as soon as I can, that's for sure!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This looks great. Despite the pandemic, this shouldn’t be available everywhere. This is a perfect reward and offers huge excitement when you get to visit the incredible Lego house in person :-)

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

I like the color they chose for this set. Even though it is a machine and the machines usually have gray and boring colors, with that color it is a little more appealing to people.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Shame need to visit house, but can't imagine would ever go, maybe when I retire and persuade the wife, sort of thing that appeals to me. Maybe get in online pay over the odds for!

Whenever I think I’ve seen every past Lego set, someone surprises me. That’s why I love this site!

Gravatar
By in United States,

According to their website the Lego House is closed due to Covid. I am not sure how anyone would get it unless you can order online. I would definitely buy it if it was available in the U.S!

Gravatar
By in South Korea,

NEED IT. Minifig scale is my favorite

Gravatar
By in Finland,

That's so awesome, especially the fact that you can't get it unless you're in Denmark

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Lime green doors!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh that is gorgeous!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

Well LEGO House is closed at the moment.

The LEGO House is indeed closed for visitors, but the LEGO store inside is not :-)

Edit: scratch that, seems to be closed(?)

By in Denmark,

Are you sure about that Classique?

The website says it is shut

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I was lucky enough to buy the exclusive Lego House sets when they became available in the UK at the start of the first lockdown. I’d love for them to sell the duck and this as well one day as it’s gonna be tough to get my Wife to agree a trip to Denmark

Gravatar
By in United States,

America gets all the exclusives they say.

Would be coolest if it actually moulded bricks.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Why just for sale in the house, how do we get there to buy it in the pandemic, beggars belief

Hmm, strange. I was sure it was open, as the one in Copenhagen currently is.
I'll visit Billund soon anyway, so I might as well check with me own eyes.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

When I saw the title and picture I was immediately thinking of 3D printing of your own bricks, then I realized the machine was just a model and figured that maybe TLG don't want to be promoting that sort of thing.

Check out the alt image for the rear of the box, you can turn a knob and the injection mechanism moves, and the sliding doors work as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Imagine a large-scale Technic version of this!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd buy that. No idea if I'll actually get an opportunity to, unless Lego relent and make it available worldwide.

I have to hope that either some kind Brickesetter will be heading that way when restrictions are lifted and has room in their case for a spare, or Lego wake up and realise that they're trading in a global economy these days, and restricting items like this just hacks off the people who make their business as profitable as it is.

Gravatar
By in United States,

And over on the left is where you can pour a mug of your favorite refreshment, while you monitor production on the machine...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Agreed...make it available worldwide. I actually like it better than many of the regular sets and most of the IDEA sets that have been released. Perfect set for a nerd like me!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love this but it's a little pricey and the fact it's *functionally* not available is... yeah.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I get why this is exclusive and limited edition, I can't see it appealing to wide audiences at that scale and price point. That being said, it would be great to get a minifig scale molding machine some day- meta builds are fun.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

A really cool idea for an exclusive set. Nobody needs it, but many will want one.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is the green consistent though?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Looks like a nice upgrade from 4000001.

I wonder if this was supposed to be last year's Inside Tour set, seems like a short time frame from the last Lego House exclusive.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Lego group: We created the brick molding machine to create the brick molding machine.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Industrial equipment like molding machines is the one thing I wished I'd added when I did the Technic survey last week. Knowing these things first-hand, they are so functionally complicated, they'd make for great Technic sets. FisherTechnik (personally, aside from Meccano, the only non-LEGO system I like--and the only that I feel is equal in quality, if not a little more so, especially modern LEGO) also seems to include pieces of industrial machinery as either main builds, or alternate builds in bigger kits. A Japanese model kit company makes a CNC lathe as a kit offering, among other pieces of machinery. I studied industrial maintenance/mechatronics for a year, and these things would have made handy teaching tools. And an excuse to break out the LEGO, aside from the times we borrowed (and I heavily modified one of the stock robots built from instructions) the engineering professor's NXT kit. Most of the group I stayed with were retired coal miners, so I was the youngest guy there.

I really like this set, actually I love it! But, I don't want to pay a huge premium. So, I may just end up building it with parts, even if the colors don't match.

Kinda like 3D printing a 3D printer.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

One of the best I've seen this year, would buy it for sure, but not available.... what a pity...

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I couldn't wait to go back for Billund for a thousand reasons already. This is now the 1001st.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@MLF:
Didn’t they just retire several LEGO House exclusive sets, though? I remember that book preorder offer having the tree, the dinosaurs, and I think one other LH set that were all marked as Retired.

@Syren_Neostar:
Or droids making droids. No, wait, that’d be perverse...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Pretty cool! Id add it to my collection!

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is good.Shame it is a Lego house exclusive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This set looks awesome! I'd love to be able to buy this!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

That’s an awesome model... but yet another exclusive, so much for that “no more exclusives” promise *eyeroll*

They promised no such thing. There will still be store / region specific GWPs and unique sets like this.

"In the following areas we will still be launching products, which will have a certain limitation to availability and production runs:

Pilot projects, such as Forma, to check out markets and opportunities without being able to make them widely available.
Gift With Purchase campaigns through LEGO Shop at Home and LEGO Brand Retail.
Products only sold in certain experiences (for example LEGOLAND, LEGO House & LEGO Brand Retail stores).
Special Event Sets (Comic Cons, LEGO Inside Tour)."

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Brikkyy13:
It's not a _regional_ exclusive. That's all they promised to stop doing. If this was available outside a single site, you'd have a legitimate gripe.

Self-replicating. I believe they may have created a new synthetic life form.

By in Italy,

Want

Gravatar
By in United States,

Trans-clear frosted 4L lightsaber bars in sight, closest thing we have is the regular trans-clear 4L rod from 5378 Hogwarts Castle back in 2007. That part will set you back a pretty penny on Bricklink at the moment, though I don't imagine this will be purchased for part-out material so it probably does nothing to help.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Try to justify it anyway you want, it’s still only available in Denmark to a select few. Therefore, exclusive.

Gravatar
By in Indonesia,

Is this minifig scale? I wondwr why there is no minifigure in this set

But the LEGO version is a generic moulding machine. Not even a sticker is showing the manufacturer or model type. Does Engel not see a problem with this? The Inside Tour set also had a sticker therefore a license, but this one doesn't.

I actually like the look of the set and think it would look good on display.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Would defiantly buy as got most of the others when last in Billund. Looking forward to another trip to Billund when all the lockdowns are over, legoland there a lot quiter than Windsor plus the bonus of the Lego House

Gravatar
By in Austria,

Lime green is our company colour. We have a long trusted partnership with Lego for decades.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@one79:
New Elementary posted a photo showing the set designers standing in front of the actual machine that this is based on. The machine looks to be slightly taller than a person, so not even close to minifig scale. It might be pretty close to Technic fig scale, though.

If it means a free copy for me, _I_ approve of you taking PTO to go pick up a few of these. You're on your own regarding airfare, ground transportation, room/board, and any other souvenirs you may desire. Also note that me approving something does not in any way involve permission being obtained from your employer. But, you know, you have my hearty encouragement in this endeavor-without-a-"u".

The lego house in it self is closed, BUT the lego brand store in the lego house opened yesterday. Hence you can visit the shop and buy those exclusive sets.
