[DE] JB Spielwaren products and prices now shown in our buy listings
Posted by Huw,We've recently partnered up with top German LEGO supplier JB Spielwaren so can now show its products and prices in our German Buy listings and on set details pages.
The company has recently launched an English language version of its website and this year is celebrating its 11th anniversary with a number of offers and competitions.
Furthermore, it is the European stockist of the excellent new range of 9v train compatible track made by FX Bricks which I will be reviewing this week.
We have an affiliate relationship with the company we will receive a small commission for sales made through our links.

They do have nice prices on some sets from my wishlist. EU shipping is only €12.99 flat; so obviously it’s better to order multiple sets at once to keep the cost down.
Awesome.
The polybag promo code isn't working and I have €165 value of sets in my cart. Would have considered an order as I'm after a number of the polybags in this promotion, but I will pass without.
Great development, will definitely start shopping here!
As someone who has purchased almost exlcusively via Lego.com last year, seeing some of the prices are on their site is baffling. Sites like these makes me wonder if i shouldnt abandon the Lego website completely... The VIP points and occasional GWP do not make up for the giant difference in pricing.
If JB can offer Hogwarts castle for just over 300 euro's (lego's price being 450) i will gladly shop there and buy the occasional GWP i feel i really 'need' on Ebay...
I wish these folks had an outlet in the U.S.
Unfortunately for those of us in the UK we may have to pay the VAT twice. They do not remove the VAT at checkout for orders to the UK.
This is the message at checkout:
"By placing the order I recognise that my order is shipped from Germany to United Kingdom. The local VAT, costs of customs clearance and customs duties are not included in the total amount of the order and have to be settled with third parties. I bear the costs. "
It is unfortunate because they have some great prices and a good range of sets available.
^ I will feed that back to them.
As well as the additional UK 20% VAT since Brexit, the postage from Europe to UK (or to US) needs to be added offsetting any discount, when we typically have free postage in the UK. Huw if you are looking for other affiliates may wish to consider www.jadlamracingmodels.com in the UK, who occasionally have Lego discounts, and do ship to Europe and US, but then have the same problem of customs and postage in those countries.
While I would have to pay VAT only once (being in the EU has its advantages :), obviously (and rightfully so) I'd need to pay the local VAT, which is significantly higher than the German one. So, once prices are adapted to Swedish VAT, they are still good, but not outstandingly so any longer...
EDIT: I am of course aware that you shouldn't have to pay VAT twice no matter where you are ;)
UK should have néver left EU in the first place, and i'm sticking to that.
Edit: i used to buy a lot with UK ebayers which was always great and all perfect. Now ebay mentions the regular price + delivery costs PLUS import taxes, and they seem véry high. So i'm very redundant to that now. Result: i won't look at secondhand UK sellers anymore. It's a shame.
Great, good to see my friends from JB Spielwaren here!!
I know where I’m shopping when I win the lottery awesome MOCs with genuine Lego, beautiful.
Setting up that the shipping country would be France raised the prices pretty much.
It's impressive how the prices are much higher in France than in Germany.
