9/11- not bad LEGO DC knowledge =)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

5/11, better than expected.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Ugh, I forgot OG and Lego Batman doesn't count as part of the DC Superheroes theme.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have zero interest in DC or Marvel, so guessed for all the questions.

I got every single one wrong, apart from the last one (Batman was in a lot of TLM sets). 1/11!

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/11. Biggest gripe - Where's the Firestorm question?!?!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

8/11 Not bad and I knew Batman has been in a lot of LEGO sets, but not that many.

Gravatar
By in United States,

9 out of 11

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

5/11 - I must confess that this is not my first choice Superhero fandom ;->

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

7/11, I totally forgot about the classic TV batmobiles! And I'd personally not count the app-controlled one or the new one to be Batmobiles, they're more like bat-off-roaders or something. I mean, the tumbler is sometimes considered as a batmobile as well, but that didn't count in the question, sooo... Oh well. The other ones I got wrong were the one about source material (I don't think many people got that one right unless they guessed correctly), the gorilla grodd set image (simply never realized that) and the most pieces one (which I simply didn't know).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

7/11 not bad as I'm a Dc and Marvel fan!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Only 3/11. Also I wasn't paying too much attention to the answers as I retook the test after accidentally reloading the page and still only got 9/11.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Zach Snyder's "hahahahaha" is now available. PASS.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

In fact, there were two more Batmobiles in Juniors -> DC COMICS SUPER HEROES:
10672 Batman: Defend the Batcave
10724 Batman & Superman vs. Lex Luthor

Sure, these are in Juniors theme...
And 76137 Batman vs. The Riddler Robbery is on the list just because Juniors theme became a 4+ label

By in United States,

The thing that's going to throw people is how much Batman has appeared in non-DCSH lines:

- The original Batman line
- The Lego Movie
- The Lego Movie 2
- The Lego Batman Movie
- Lego Dimensions

TLBM got *really* blurry since it introduced a metric ton of minifigures who could have worked just as well in the DCSH line.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

11/11 but this is my favourite line, after all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Clayface has also appeared more than once. First in Clayface Splat Attack and again in Batcave Clayface Invasion

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

9 out of 11 - not bad!

70904 is The Lego Batman Movie, rather than DC Comics Superheroes

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/11 guessed on the last two so I'm pretty good with this theme!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Huh, I did better than expected =)
I guessed a few and ended up with 2 out of eleven incorrect. The first question, and the one about what media inspired Batman and the Batmobiel in the Riddler Chase.

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/11 I know my stuff! I’ve never done well on any other quiz so this makes me feel knowledgeable about at least something haha.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hit submit and the quiz disappears, no results given.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

6/11 faired okay but didn't expect much better. Fun facts thanks for the quiz.

By in United Kingdom,

Watch me fail this spectacularly, because I have no clue about anything DC other than the Teen Titans animated series xD

...YEP, 4/11. I don't think I've ever done so badly on a Brickset quiz before, and I am not surprised in the least; I've really only been peripherally aware of the DC line, so while I recognise some of the set and character names, I'm really clueless on the finer details.

I DID know about the constraction figures, and made an educated guess on the DC set with the most pieces, and on the bonus question. And I only knew the Green Lantern minifigure one because I recall members on here discussing the subject when one of the minifigures was revealed a while ago, and there was only one name that wasn't familiar to me because of that.

I could have got the number of minifigure-scale Batmobiles if I'd gone with my initial instinct, but I ended up not picking that option one after all. Even if I had got that one, though, it would only have been a complete guess!

Gravatar
By in United States,

5/11, could have done better. I don't actually watch or read much Batman stuff, so the source material questions really got me. Also, I didn't know they made a Joker Constraction figure!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Anyone else never noticed a problem with set 76026 until this quiz asked about it?

You’re correct. I made the same mistake as @harveypumpkins in thinking there were two Clayfaces. In fairness, like probably most people, I see DC + LEGO and think DC LEGO. The finer points of which LEGO line a particular DC character or vehicle is in is not terribly salient.

Gravatar

7/11 is okay, especially since I don't remember the theme especially well

About two hours in and I'm actually pleasantly surprised. It's not the best thing ever but it's pretty solid. Not particularly a fan of Zack Snyder's other work but this is pretty good.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

6/11. A couple of those wrong answers were me forgetting the difference between various lines that have Batman in as opposed to just the DC Superheroes. Though that at least made answering the last question easier!

Gravatar
By in United States,

6/11 but I fastclicked one, should've been 7/11
DANGIT, I lost all my DC Comics street cred! ;)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

8/11 A couple of the answers were a complete surprise but I had no idea of the answer to Question 9 regarding the source material. Great Quiz!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

5/11 i suck at this

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Completely guessed my way to a score of 1/11 lol, and that was the first question right, all the rest wrong, no idea!! Do love these though, get to learn from the answers once finished, thanks Capn for putting these together :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

9/11. Just the Batmobile one and the 2012 one. Mixed up the Riddler and Mr. Freeze sets release wise, but happy with that result.

That's what separates the TRUE fans from the normies ;) In fairness, I struggled with that question as well bc I knew one of Killer Moth's entries had also come from TLBM

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Easily my worst performance on any of these trivia challenges. I mostly don't pay attention to the non-movie DC sets

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A pathetic 4. I got the first 3 right, surprisingly but it only went downhill from there.

I only have one non-polybag DC set, so my knowledge (or lack of it) might have to be excused.....

Also only watched the 1989 Batman film out of DC too.

Similar here. I got three correct though. The one about the Batmobile being the set with the most pieces of the ones mentioned I actually knew, believe it or not. And the bonus question was a no-brainer.
The third one I got right was just a lucky guess.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

4/11 batman would have done better

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

6/11....I should have got my son to do it

Gravatar

8/11, pretty solid! The one question got me because I COMPLETELY forgot about the Scarecrow fear harvest set!

Yeah, that was the one I missed.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Considering that I've been collecting Star Wars for so much longer than DC Superheroes, I'm surprised that I got 9/11. That's better than I've done on any of the Star Wars quizzes. I suppose that might be due to there just simply not being as much knowledge to retain?

Also, I can't believe just how many Batmen there have been!

Gravatar
By in United States,

4/11.... Shows how much I know, my expertise would be 2012 Marvel sets, considering I have most of them. Haven't watched a newer DC Movie (Last one was the Dark Knight rises), OR a new Star Wars (Rogue One).

Gravatar
By in United States,

What the heck? I even wanted the Gorilla Grodd set when it came out (mostly because of the Flash, CW and all that). How did I not notice it? My answer was "Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet is not pictured" rather than the right one, that's crazy, i even remember not seeing her invisible jet... Mandela effect.....

Gravatar
By in Canada,

8/11...not bad, thought I'd do better; but I botched:
-Batman foe
-Most pieces
-and Gorilla Grodd goes Bananas...which is ironic: I have that set (but haven't 'cracked the box' open yet)...

Side-thoughts:
Got the Green Lantern question right...and I'm still 'peeved': why doesn't Guy Gardner have a figure...I mean we even got Simon Baz, but Guy...Come to think of it: Booster Gold, Blue 'Ted Kord' Bettle, Fire, Ice, Saturn Girl (finish that other 'Trinity' TLG), and...Guess what I'm trying to get to is: TLG reeeeeally needs to put out another DC CMF series...heck, two or three...

Gravatar
By in United States,

That 4th question was tricky. I keep forgetting this is about the DC theme, which does not include the LEGO Batman Movie

At least I got the bonus question right! (3/11)

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I knew I'd do badly with this, and I was right: 2/11.

So technically I got a 3rd one right. Do I win a prize?

I want those characters too, but Marvel and Star Wars minifigure series first!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I care very little about DC stuff. I got a 3/11.

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/11 because the Batmobile question couldn't stay consistent with all the exceptions.

@mr_Fikou:
76112 is actually called "App-Controlled Batmobile", so it's a bit hard to justify including it. However, 76001 is tagged "Batmobile" on this site, has a Batmobile, is part of DC Superheroes, is not Mighty Micros, and is not The LEGO Batman Movie.

@nymnyr8694:
Oh, make no mistake, it was Whedon who jacked the film up. Unfortunately, his version is still official, even though the man couldn't buy himself a career if he self-financed his own movies these days.

@manjeroque:
10672 and 10724 have no DC Superheroes logos on their boxes, and include no mention of the theme on their official LEGO.com pages (they're recent enough that they have a Retired Product page).

@CF_Mitch:
I figured that one out a long time ago because I was actually watching the series at the time. The Batmobile isn't a great likeness, but once I figured out that the outfit matched, it kinda made sense. What threw it off, though, was the villain. BtB wasn't really big on using mainstream Batman villains. Ra's al Ghul, Man-Bat, Two-Face (as Harvey Dent), and Killer Croc might be the only villains who appeared in both B:TAS and BtB.

@ThatBionicleGuy:
The anime version? Oh, dude, you got to start watching actual quality DC animation...

@ecleme11:
I mean, it's been about six years. I know I didn't catch it on my own, but I kinda think I might have read something about it back then...maybe?

@Zander:
The other thing that'll hang people up is that Bricklink treats TLBM as being a sub-theme of DCS. And they also treat DC and Marvel as being part of a joint Superheroes theme even though they have always had their own logos, their own box colors, and have probably only ever appeared under the same theme heading when the Might Micros line was out.

@Snaz:
Eh, it's better than watching the anime Teen Titans series.

@Mr__Thrawn:
I waited until 4pm to watch it so I could catch Snyder's livecast, only to find out that I had to download a browser extension. I tried to do that, and got to a page that said "only two more clicks", and had a button to take you to the download page...where I could not for the life of me find any button that would actually start the download process. So I built Winnie the Pooh while watching it instead.

I'm not thrilled with the music, especially the stuff with lyrics that plays over some of the key establishing scenes. I'm seriously wondering what kept the Mother Boxes from reaching out _before_ Superman got to Earth. But Steppenwolf is awesome, Wonder Woman has what might be her best fight scene, and all the horky jokes are gone. The Nightmare sequence from BvS makes a lot more sense, and now I really wish they'd back off their stance and make this the official version so they can actually complete Snyder's original story arc.

@legomaster65:
There are never enough Batman minifigs! No, seriously, I'm probably pushing 400 total unique Batman-related minifigs in my collection, and I broke 100 unique Batmans a long time ago. A huge percentage of those are custom builds, though, like making Arkham jumpsuit minifigs of almost all the TLBM Batman villains (as well as Batman and Robin).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@Brickodillo :
Of course he would...he's Batman :D

@Slithus_Venom :
Problem is those two properties carry 'baggage' to do CMFs (little legal 'dust up', w/'Has-all'). If TLG were to do them, they'd probably make 'em like the magnets (torso glued to legs, heads stuck to their necks, and possibly lodged to their bases). There is a possibility that w/'Mat-tell' in the mix (thanks to 'Mouse-House'), 'H's' grip might be/has gotten loosed...so, it's a wait and see with them...

Gravatar

By in United Kingdom,

Thanks for the Quiz Folks - I too was caught out with the mix of TLBM on Clayface for at least one. Didn't bother with Beware the Batman either so missed out on that. The rest were things I should have known.

Loved the Zack Snyder version of Justice League - far superior to what I paid £20 to watch in IMAX at Midnight showing back 2017. I enjoyed the film at the time but looked back later on to see the flaws in how it was trying to bridge two different styles. After seeing how much was cut out completely for Snyder version I wish Warners had just had the guts to stick with what they had. Sure it's dark and not for kids - but neither was Infinity War and did well enough. What Whedon gave us in the end was a bridge too far to try and change to. Shazam! came along and lightened up the DCEU fine enough JL could have stood where it was with a Flashpoint Film to reset after the arc was finished. Oh well... If there was a way to prove to Warners I want Snyder's Version for a sequel I would. Now we have to rely on Flashpoint to do the reset instead which is a shame without seeing the ending of the original arc.

For the record Cavill should still be Superman and Warners have only made things worse the way they have run away from this film.

@DougTemplar:
We don’t even have a believable official accounting of what happened. Back when the movie came out, the official claim was that Snyder stepped away to deal with his grief following the suicide of his daughter, but there have been several hints from Snyder, and some rumors of dirty dealing through other sources. I’ve heard that WB was about to go through a merger, that a lot of high-level execs expected to be downsized, and that they fired Snyder because the perception that the movie would be a smash hit was more important than actually performing well in terms of how big their final bonuses would be before they were sent packing. Given how often we’ve learned that Disney was aware of improper behavior and simply covered it up (Lassiter had a chaperone at parties involving booze, and they were absolutely aware of Gunn’s tweets), I wouldn’t be surprised if Whedon was fired behind closed doors, which presented a tempting catch for WB, provided Snyder was out of the way first. Whatever the case, Whedon is clearly in WB’s doghouse, even if they won’t say so. They dropped $70m on The Snyder Cut, which will now be compared fairly against the theatrical cut (vs WB’s offer to just release Snyder’s work print with incomplete CGI), and Whedon has backed out of every DC project he had lined up at WB. Between the box office results landing squarely at his feet, and all the terrible stories that have been coming out over the last year, I doubt he could get a collecting trash on the WB lot.

8/11 not too shabby.

Still hoping for the Holy Grail Super Heroes set:

Avengers/JLA (half the box) JLA/Avengers (half the box)!

Bring the teams together as did the titular limited series and there isn’t a comic geek worth his long boxes who wouldn’t salivate at the thought of buying a set.

LEGO, should you convince Disney and Warner Bros to make at least one crazy-huge set happen, I don’t care if it runs me $1k - I’m buying one as long as you guys make it at least as amazing as 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I got 9/11 (no, I'm not joking, I try to stay above that level). I don't want to spoil one of the questions but let's just say I thought one subtheme counted while another didn't and that kind of threw me off on one question. The other one was related to a set that basically came out in my dark ages but other than that I'm surprised I got all these right, considering how many sets there are.

I was fine with the music (than again that's a pretty small part of movies for me) but I agree that the Snyder Cut should be the official one. I'd be thrilled if they completed Snyder's original arc.

Gravatar

Wow 10/11, the only thing I didn’t know was the batman that one figure was based on. But I consider that question to be outside of my LEGO knowledge...

Gravatar
By in United States,

@TheInfamousBobaFett:
The early DCEU sets, being those based on Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Justice League, and Wonder Woman, were all branded as part of the main DC Superheroes theme, so they're all already counted. The Aquaman and DC's original Captain Marvel didn't have any sets based on them, and the WW84 set came out after the theme was rebranded to just "DC".

Speaking of which, that may affect the answer to the Batmobile question. 76139, 40433, 76119, and 76137 were all released in 2019, and 76159 was released in 2020. All five of these sets come with vehicles that are considered "Batmobiles", but 2018 was the last year that sets were actually branded "DC Superheroes". Starting in 2019, "Superheroes" was dropped from both the DC and Marvel lines.
