Here's more information about the three Star Wars sets that are being released next month:

Today, the LEGO Group revealed three new LEGO Star Wars construction sets for adult builders to recreate some of the most iconic designs from the Star Wars galaxy.

The new sets will feature two iconic additions to the LEGO Star Wars helmet collection first revealed last year - a bust inspired by Darth Vader and one in the likeness of a loyal Scout Trooper. Moreover, a stunning new model honouring the imposing Imperial Probe Droid completes the trio.

Designed for adults and experienced LEGO builders with a passion for the Star Wars galaxy, fans can now build, display and pay homage to the Dark Lord of the Sith by taking on these new building challenges.

  • 75304 Darth Vader Helmet - capture the sinister look of the Star Wars icon and ultimate villain, with the 834-piece displayable model. Offering an immersive building experience, the finished helmet makes an impressive display piece.
  • 75305 Scout Trooper Helmet - the stunning 471-piece helmet has been created as an homage to the Scout Troopers’ ultimate reconnaissance and infiltration abilities. Dust off your speeder bike and enjoy recreating every contour and detail with LEGO bricks.
  • 75306 Imperial Probe Droid - adult builders can recreate scenes from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on the ice planet Hoth when constructing this distinctive droid. The 638-piece model features a transparent pole to ‘suspend’ the droid over the buildable snowy scene.

“Some of our favourite Star Wars characters have the most profound, intimidating on-screen presences, despite the fact that you can’t see their facial expressions,” says Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, Creative Director, LEGO Star Wars. “In recreating the sinister helmets of Darth Vader and the Scout Trooper, it was important to capture the details and essential features that people around the world will recognise, even those who aren’t too familiar with the Star Wars galaxy. I think all three display sets are extremely cool, and I hope fans will enjoy the building process and be thrilled to display them once complete.”

Passionate builders can enjoy some time to relax as they take on these complex creative challenges, recreating every authentic detail in true LEGO style. When done with the build, the models can be displayed with a bespoke plaque to put the final touch that will make the perfect desk ornament or centrepiece in the home for Star Wars fans.

The sets will be priced between $49.99 - $69.99 USD/ €49.99 – €69.99 EUR/ £44.99 – £59.99 GBP and can be pre-ordered from LEGO.com now.

Happy Vader!

£44.99 – £59.99 is a lot better than the 3rd party prices in the other article

By in United States,

Something about Vader feels a bit off. I think it’s the mouth grill not extending far enough down...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the snow on the display plaque for the probe droid!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Maybe it's just me, but is the Probe Droid really considered imposing?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Scout Trooper looks so well done.

Not until they start firing at you.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Probe Droid is one I never realized I wanted or needed now I can’t stop thinking about it.

Vader? Ummmm...

Hey, to each their own. :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

That probe droid is liiiiiiiit! Preordered and I'm salivating for April 26th!

And a free Carrot House!

Not at all, start shooting at it and the thing goes suicidal.

By in United States,

Speaking as a MATURE ADULT, I can say that all of these sets tickle my fancy and I will build them while I smoke my evening pipe and listen to my radio news programs on my ol’ Zenith stratosphere. Then I will buy some stonks.

Seriously, though, I quite like all of these. The probe droid in particular is a welcome surprise. I always had an affinity for that old kit-bashed design.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I actually find this to be the batch of offerings from this series. I can’t have everything, so I think I’ll pass, but these are pretty solid efforts.

Gravatar
By in United States,

IMO $49 is a sweet spot for the helmets and I wish they'd engineer them to fit within that price point. It'll be realistic to find the Scout Trooper on sale for $38-42. Love the Probe Droid.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I've never known the LEGO shop website to take pre-orders before. Is this new? I don't see the actual release date anywhere, so where are you getting April 26th? Surely it would be sensible to include a release date near the 'Add to Bag'.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Yet again, no pre-orders for Australian customers. What the hell LEGO?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Scout Trooper looks pretty perfect. $50 is also a great price for it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Probe Droid ordered. Will probably wait to buy the other 2 in-store.

I have some comments on the Darth Vader helmet, but will wait until the review comes out.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If I pre-order, will I get the VIP points in time to get the Ulysses probe with the space shuttle on April 1st? I'm assuming "No".

Gravatar
By in United States,

Exposed studs drive me crazy. There, I said it.

I think that VIP points only appear on your account after the order ships and payment is taken :(

{Vader voice} I find your lack of faith disturbing.{/voice}

Seriously, I completely agree. The mouth grill is too small and not angled correctly. It should slant away from the face as you move down.

I always found Darth Vader to be one of the scariest movie villains. This bust doesn’t capture that well.

By in United States,

Iconic, Passionate, Impressive Display Piece, Time to Relax; I only needed 'Mindfulness' or 'DIY' to get bingo! Next 18+ press release...

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's amazing how detailed they're able to get the helmets at that scale and using LEGO.

...That said, why oh why did they not print that bottom 1x4 tile on Vader's mouth??? Drives me crazy.
I also wonder if tipping the helmet forward would make it look more intimidating. All the pictures make it look sort of tipped back.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Pre ordered all three...already on back order. Seriously LEGO.COM sort your stock issues out!!!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

TLC's pricing strategy keeps baffling me: why does 75305 cost €49.99 in Germany against €59.99 in Belgium, while both 75304 and 75306 cost €69.99 everywhere??

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

Didn't we already get a Darth Vader helmet?

Vader does usually look down his nose at people, so to say, so the angle of his head is movie accurate, but I do agree that maybe it would look more intimidating if he was looking down or at least horizontally.

@kolaxanthe:
Uncommon, definitely, but not new. They had preorders for the Santa Fe engine, and the 1st Edition copies of the first UCS Millennium Falcon. I want to say there was at least one more, but I can’t recall what it might be.

Gravatar

Probe Droid -- yes!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The exposed studs are a little jarring for me personally, but it’s really cool otherwise.

I was thinking the same thing - Seems very moddable to build that vent feature with vertical elements. Have to see how it's constructed underneath first, but I think that would really bring it home.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love these helmets more than the first wave but they should have used tiles to make them smoother. All those studs are going to catch a lot of dust.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

These aren't my thing but I'll be interested to see what colours they've hidden inside the monochrome exteriors. Bag 1 with lots of pink, blue and purple?

Vader looks "Happy". Not Sinister... The portions are not right on the face. It might be just the lighting in the eyes?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Would love for them to produce a Death Trooper one!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I really don't get why Lego lets you pre-order sets as it doesn't come with GWP and you'll probably won't get it any sooner than anyone else. Probably even later as happened with several other sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is that a sticker on the grille of Lord Vader? Or is that a printed tile like 35787 ?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm dying for a General Grievous bust, LEGO plz

I thought it was just me! I don't think I've ever been able to pre-order from LEGO.

Gravatar
By in Greece,

Never really seen the benefit of Lego pre-orders, if they shipped them earlier so you got them in your hands on the day of release would be great..... but they don’t. In the past I could have got the set I wanted from Argos quicker than a pre-order from Lego.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

From another place it seems that those are stickers on the grille and while I don't usually get that irked by them I am a bit put out by that.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Slave2lego:
For 10179, we got to order it for $400 instead of $500, and they sold out of 1st Edition boxes during preorders. So, latecomers got to pay more for a less fancy version.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I think that Vader helmet is a miss. Either the brow of the helmet needs to protrude more, or they eyes need to be recessed further back.

And that grille at the front... Not having the bottom half decorated is a real problem. But if they did add a sticker for the 1x4 tile then there would be a horizontal gap right through the middle, and we would be comparing it to Bugs Bunny.

I really wish they had a better solution there.

By in Belgium,

The Scout Trooper is the best looking one.
Darth Vader looks OK-ish but at 75€ it's definitely overpriced.

The Probe Droid is a FAIL. Not because it doesn't look good, it does but IT'S THE WRONG COLOUR. It should have been made in black or AT LEAST in gunmetal grey. Not Dark Blueish Grey.
I'm not paying 75€ for a set I'll need to buy a bunch of extra pieces to fix. I did that once with Kylo Ren's shuttle, I'm not doing it again. Because this time LEGO has NO EXCUSE to fail to miserably when it comes to the colour.

IMO, all the really intricate sensor probes and details would've blended in too much if the main model was black. There's also plenty of depictions of the probe droid where the dark gray is more accurate. Check out the brickset review, the thing looks really good.

By in United States,

I must say I’m a little surprised to see these will ship April 26th. It makes me wonder what they are holding back for May the 4th. Of course the one set I really want is the Imperial Shuttle which is out of stock. So unless there is an amazing gift with purchase, I may hold off for Black Friday sales at the major retailers.

Yes, the Darth Vader helmet contains new 2x6 wedge plates for the left and right sides.

A GWP that requires buying SW sets, and a UCS set that they may or may not have accidentally revealed.

This is not new for the LEGO shop website to take preorders. One of them that I remember the LEGO shop website having preorder is the Mandolorian & Child BrickHeadz set 75317 . The Mandolorian & Child set is good
