Looney Tunes collectable minifigures discovered in CA!
Posted by Huw,
Brickset member shima55 has sent us this image of the box of 71030 Looney Tunes minifigures he purchased in an independent store in Northern California today.
It provides our first legitimate glimpse of the figures.
For the avoidance of doubt, a photo showing a receipt confirming the box of 36 figures was obtained legitimately for $215.64 excluding tax can be found after the break.
Update: we now have a photo of the collectors' sheet which can also be found after the break.

MEEP MEEP!
I love Looney Tunes, but not everything translates well into minifig form.
I still want them tho
Looks great but $6 per minifigures is a bit outrageous. :(
Everyone except Road Runner looks fantastic! Can't wait to get all of them.
I'm not a minifig person but these are so cool, will definitely be getting some, especially Marvin the Martian for my sister, she's such a big fan she's got a foot high tattoo on the side of her calf of him! Thanks for the info :)

There should be 60 in a box.
242/60 = 4.
36 in a box nowadays, as confirmed on the receipt.
If it $6 each then they should be giving out a hint. hopefully this isn't a late April fool day jokes.

If you look at the receipt in the picture though the minifigs came to $215.64 and the quantity field indicates 36. That divides neatly as $5.99 per unit.
Boxes or mylar bags? Hate blind packs, especially at $6/figure, but at least I can usually avoid wasting money on dupes with the mylar.
Porky Pig has Light Flesh/Light Nougat hips for all the monochrome minifig collectors :)
what's up, doc?
No doubt these are to capitalise on the new Space Jam movie. I’ve never really been too interested in Loony Tunes, but some of these parts are very nice. I’m liking those 3 cheese wedges in particular!
Me like Taz.
The wallet, it is safe.
Though the actual cheese printing on the cheese wedge is glorious!
Duck season.
I only NEED Marvin The Martian
Cheese slopes!
The Roadrunner does not work as a minifigure. Legs and torso are too thick. I'm surprised to see Speedy Gonzales. I thought he was "banned". Personally I'd rather have Elmer Fudd or Foghorn Leghorn in wave 1 than Petunia or Lola.
Wave 2 needs Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Granny, Henery Hawk, and Foghorn Leghorn. Given that Pepé Le Pew is currently banned, he and Penelope are unlikely. I'd love to see the Dodo, but such a minor character seems unlikely.
6 bucks a figure? Really?
This is ridiculous for something you don’t even know what you’re getting. The price going up just makes me want to buy even less...
If they really raise the price from the already pretty expensive 4 Euro per figure to 6 Euro for these, they have a guaranteed failure on their hands.
The $6 price may just be the price set by this independent store (as they often are) so the MSRP could still very well be $5
The first series that makes me want a second series immediately, lets go back to 18 a series so I can get an Elmer Fudd. How can we have a Wabbit season sign without Elmer?
Political Correctness and gender balance has taken over, we have 2 female characters who I don't recognise to the cost of some of the more well-known Hanna characters Pepe, Foghorn , did I mention Elmer?
The minifigure versions of Tweety and the Roadrunner in particular look like bootlegs, with their heads awkwardly pasted onto bodies that don't suit them at all. Tweety should be more like the Baby Yoda figure and the Roadrunner should look like the Ostriches from the Prince of Persia line.
I understand that the designers were in a difficult position. You can't have a minifigure series with characters that aren't minifigures, and you can't exclude Tweety or the Roadrunner because they're iconic, but they just don't work at all.
Who is the vaguely chipmunk-y figure with the basketball?
HELLLLOOOOO NURSE
Oh wait, wrong Warner cartoons... :P

Lola Bunny from Space Jam?
Are they gonna be in the little boxes or the the usual bags?

Yes, but this is in Canada I believe, I could be mistaken
Edit: Northern California, not Canada. You're right. Well, it could be the retailer up charging.

They made a one-time exception when they included a UniKitty in the Lego Movie 2 minifigure wave. It would have been nice if they had made a special exception for Roadrunner, even if it was a special mould for them to have skinny legs maybe. :)

Perhaps if you were a fan you’d know who the characters were. Also might get the correct cartoon creators. LooneyTunes / MGM not Hanna-Barbera.
Independent toy shop where I live marks all LEGO products up (which is why I don't shop there much, though they do sometimes have sets that retired years ago) and they sold the CMFs for $4.99 back when the MSRP was $3.49, I hope this is the same kind of situation.
Seen these on Instagram a couple of days ago, love Taz, Coyote and the Mexican Mouse! But I'll probably buy most of these! Some nice parts included with the minifigs..
I saw the collector's sheet on Instagram earlier today and think they look great.
$6 each better be that store's upcharged price like GameStop does and not the new MSRP for all stores. $5 is already too much given the crap world economy.
That moment when the LEGO version of Lola Bunny has more defined breasts than the new movie version. Not that I care, just a funny observation.
Seriously though, I guarantee in a few years she's gonna be like $100 on the after market, she'll be... popular.
I can't believe they left out Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam. Oh well, glad to have these!
They aren't $6 RRP it's just an inflated price for that store as I believe there an independent shop.
These will be $5 still and 36 per box :)
It looks like there will be three sets per box
which seems just about right...... after series 21....
But that dollar price looks like these will be at least £3.99 in England. Which is horrendously expensive.
I'll be looking for a good discount before buying these....
They might have a premium price because of the license as well.
That being said, after the super high quality prints of Vidiyo, those look extremely bland. I guess it's more about the head pieces.
RRP: Series 1 (2010) $1.99 -> this series (2021): $5.99 => +200%
Inflation 2010-2021: 20,6%
If anyone had any doubt that TLG wants to squeeze out every penny from the collectors.
OK, I know this is a licensed series, but the unlicensed series' price has also skyrocketed in the past years, and I think this is ridiculous because the amount you're getting for your money haven't changed that much. Regrettably, it becomes harder and harder every year for kids with little pocket money and / or less wealthy families to enter the world of LEGO, now that the retail Impulse sets for a few bucks are gone. Personally the show is one of my favourites, but this series does not interest me as any other products based on TV shows, I like LEGO's original stuff better.
Might take Roadrunner's head and make the body out of other parts. Doesn't work as a humanoid minifigure at all.
I wonder if a set or two will follow these, like with the Simpson's CMFs. My dream: What's Opera Doc. With Bugs in drag, an enormous white horse, craggy scenery and Elmer with his spear and magic helmet.
Roadrunner looks like a prelim. And why doesn’t he have blue hips? It looks like an early 80s/late 70s fig. It’s easily the worst minifig in a while. Wow
Taz maybe. Maybe. The others? No, thanks.
The cheese slope with an Emmental print is brilliant but not worth getting the Speedy minifigure for.
Others have asked: boxes or bags? They’re bagged, thank goodness.
Well this makes me very unhappy. Unlike most AFOL's it seems, I simply do not collect mini figures, they are just a nice "to have"for me with their sets.
Looney Tunes however is my Achilles heel, I absolutely will get these, I just have no idea what to do with them !
@Judgeguy said:

How about the Faun legs? They might look weird but at least they are a touch skinnier at the ankles
I wonder if this opens the door for Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain?
Is there an official release date?
I expect these are intended to be part of the next Space Jam promotions. Im eager to collect all of these and maybe even multiples of some.
They all have great head sculpts.
Cheese slopes as cheese, classic! Can’t help but be disappointed in the road runner, everything else looks perfect to me. Maybe I’m being extra critical because he was always my favourite, he just doesn’t translate well to minifigure form imo.
Given that these are apparently from an independent store, it's possible they just have a higher price for minifigure packs. The msrp could still be the same.
Regardless, I think these all look fantastic! I'm surprised at how well they've captured the characters, I was concerned initially about how they would be translated into the Lego, but it's been done very well. Except poor Roadrunner, sadly. I think a molded body would have been far better, maybe even with the minifigure head attached. Also there is a disturbing lack of Acme products! The lack of a Duck Season sign is also disappointing.
Definitely going to pick up a few of these, at least if the price doesn't go up!
I just want my boy Speedy.

That's Petunia Pig. First appearance in 1937.
So far in YouTube videos about this series, we’ve had Bugs Bunny repeatedly called ‘Roger Rabbit’, Wile E. Coyote pronounced ‘Willy Coyote’ (it’s supposed to be a play on the word ‘wily’) and Road Runner with an accessory of ‘ice cream’ (it’s bird seed)!
“arriba, arriba … andale, andale” definite nostalgia x Release date I saw was 26th April x Fingers crossed uk shops will be open by then, I’m having Lego shop withdrawals as that’s a perfect day out for me :) x
Love them but think Lola Bunny & Pertunia Pig are a bit weak when there are so many great characters that there could have been instead! Like Granny, Yosemite Sam & Pepé La Pew to name a few! And I think they should have admitted that roadrunner just doesn’t work!
But I’ll certainly be adding them to my collection! Just saw them on uk eBay for presale already £59 for 12 so I think price will be the same xx
So odd that they ban some characters and yet include certain characters that come equipped with weapons to kill or severely injure there opposing character. But then again... Maybe Tweety Bird is going to the carnival, Sylvester is trying out for the Yankees, Wiley Coyote is applying for a position at the new Blacksmith shop, and Marvin had Thanos turn his space ray gun into a bubble gun...
Loving the look of these! But maybe not the full rrp price. They look fantastic but I do wish that road runner had more appropriate legs (I can live with Daffy Duck having minifigure legs). Definitely on my must have list!
Roadrunner is a really bad choice for LEGO. Well, unless that's a Plymouth Roadrunner. LEGO having the license to both now should mean there's no excuse to have a fully accurate Creator Mustang-sized Plymouth including the decal of the character on the side.
This lineup looks pretty good! Unlike most kids, I watched more Looney Toons than I did the contemporary cartoons of my preteen years. But, I still think Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam should be included--especially given both have been in the contemporary Looney Toons cartoons as well.
Now, how long until LEGO gets the bright idea to pull these due to the fact that some loser and their cronies complain about something on a 80-plus-year-old cartoon? I know recently, Speedy took some heat from some nutjob. LEGO has been awfully bad to cave to activist groups in the minority these days.
Alright, just to clear something up 100%:
These figs are $4.99 MSRP. The price listed here is the upcharge of an independent toy store.
The price of CMFs is NOT going up for this wave. I promise.
Yeah, I am not impressed with Road Runner either, but man are these sharp. Blast from my childhood. A must have Open/Mint set for my collection. Do people really not know how to feel packs? I have not purchased a pack "blind" ever. I find them so easy to tell who is in the package. Anyway, this just makes me really want to see the Marvel figures that are coming too.
Lego cheaps out on CMFs since May 2020. Fewer and fewer color changes or new molds. It made me go from 40 figures in a series around 2012 to just 4 per series now. The Simpsons had more new parts and they were the first series with sleeves and boots all the while each fig had one exclusive head.
Many of these should have been better like Roadrunner, or have more accessories.
But thankfully they took the chance to make light flesh hips. Porky must be the only character in existence that Lego could have used to give us these.
I also don't mind the female pig despite her famelessness, she is half the Hermione in her red Deathly Hallows Part 1 dress that I wished for. If Lego does her she would have normal length legs which I dislike. Medium legs are way too underutilized so I am happy to get them in any new color at all.
So hopefully, That’s not all folks!
This is a dream come true for me!!!!
Perfect! I want them all!
I'm a huge Looney Tunes fan. Assuming this is for real and not an April Fool joke, I need to get these on release.
6 dollars, oh my...
Cool looking, might get one or another. Too bad Woody Woodpecker isn't a Looney Tunes character.
Still hoping for a Super Mario (or even better, Nintendo) collectable minifigures.
These look great! I wonder what else could be done with the licence? If LEGO need inspiration, I can suggest who they should speak to https://flic.kr/p/8ZPW74
No Yosemite Sam or Elmer Fudd hints at a Series 2?
It still doesn't feel right that there's only 12 figures per series now.
Tweety, Gonzales and Roadrunner should have been accesories. If you can put a new dualmolded animal in bag with minifig, this would be better way. Especialy for 4+ price which is getting ridiculous already.
Leghorn and Yosemity should have been included.
Daffy and Taz for me. Daffy will look great next to Donald.

2 female minifigures out of 12 is ‘PC gone mad’ and gender balance? You’re a couple of days late for April Fools.
LEGO is finally making things fans want
I don't think I've ever seen Petunia before so she seems a poor inclusion to me. The lack of Elmer Fudd is a big ood
These look fantastic!
I still don't like that there's only 12 instead of 16, though.
I swear, if these are $6 each, God have mercy on us all!
I love these minifigure but $6 is too much.
Lola bunny?? Petunia pig, but o BlaqueJacqueShallque? No Pepe le Piu. No Elmer Fudd??Oh well, gotta be politically correct.
MinifiguresPlus has the set for $53, so $4.42 each. Not $6.
YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!:D
Always loved Looney Tunes over Disney, any day of the week (sorta' like I like DC...Trek...geez, I gotta' 'underdog complex' or something...:)).
Two of my favorite t-shirts were one of Taz ("Wild Turkey Surprise...") and Marvin ("Where's the Earth Shattering KaBoom..."). Fave scene in Space Jam? The scene w/Daffy and Bugs in shadow complaining about how little they're getting from their merchandise...irony:)
I see/get the complaints about the lack of certain characters, esp. Fudd and Sam, though I kinda' sad a certain "I say"in' rooster hadn't made the cut. Also, Tweety and Speedy shouldn't have been 'full figures', but...micro-figures? "Da bird" (hmmm...Mugsy?) should have gone w/Sylvester, and Speedy w/Daffy (well, Freleng did a bunch of those...'teamings'? 'pairing'?...in the day)...Oh well: BRING ON SERIES 2!!!:D
Also: I'm going get ready w/a torso, legs, and cape from "Retro Spaceman"...Why?..."Duck Dodgers in...":D
@Xherus said:

It says independent store so maybe they mark stuff up from msrp?
Ok but are they still in blindbags or did they do the boxes here too?
I feel they should have included Elmer Fud as he's one of Bug's main rivals. "That wascly old wabbit!" as he would say.
@gylman Yeah, if that is the reason those characters were omitted. that is stupid.
This raises the possibility that bugs will be the new spider-man/Batman of the minifig universe. Imagine how many different variations of bugs there have been in the cartoons.
I would love to see a side view of Roadrunner. Hopefully the tail will help with the shaping. It really is a tough to turn to minifigure form. Tweety is also difficult to see. I'm glad that Speedy Gonzales was included. There was a time he was shelved because of political correctness.
MARVIN!!!!!!!

Hey @shima55... Which Northern California store? Maybe even a hint as to the county? Sonoma by any chance? :)
As for the figs, they really shouldn't have put Roadrunner up front. He looks terrible. Put Porky up front instead and hide Roadrunner's body in the back.
I wonder if Bugs and Wile-e are going to have rubber head molds. I can't imagine those ears fairing well in hard plastic.
@jkb said:

I agree. I also would hope Foghorn Leghorn would be, i say, I say, a minifigure in a possible Series 2.
For whatever reason, Marvin and Road Runner have no torso printing whatsoever. Why LEGO is still doing this today is beyond me.
Finally. Thank you.

I am surprised they didnt use Big Bird legs for Road Runner
I’d love to get these, but I’m not really into the whole collectible minifigures thing. I hope that they start releasing some Looney Tunes sets.
And I’m surprised no one mentioned this, but it’s baseball season!

Bagged"
chrisaw kindly answered the question but it’s already been stated in this thread. A CTRL+F or Find on Page search (depending on your browser) for ‘bag’ or ‘box’ would have revealed the answer.
Knowing how to search web pages isn’t just handy here at Brickset; it has uses elsewhere too.
They made cheese slopes look like cheese!
Light flesh hips?
The holy grail of monofig collectors!
Series 2 with Duck Dogers in the 24 1/2 Century (and Porky Pig sidekick) would be fantastic! Think of the retro space builds...
Hopefully this opens the door to Sam Sheepdog, Bugs in disguise, Gossamer, the singing frog and more.
Hanna-Barbara characters are owned by Warners too - would be cool to see more Scooby Doo, Dick Dastardly, Wacky Races, Yogi Bear... as well as Tom and Jerry.
And thinking about it, why not Cartoon Network classics like Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo? So much potential for Lego.
waw, these look BAD!!
Holy crap,..these can't be real, just look at speedy gonzales...wtf...this must be fake!
I think they kinda dropped the ball on these.
The biggest question is why on earth doesn't the front of Speedy's tail have painting like Scrooge Mcduck's tail did (2 years ago in a $1 or $2 cheaper bag)
I think Lola Bunny stands out like a sore thumb as the only not-classic character, I would've much preferred Granny or Witch Hazel.
Petunia Pig is also an odd choice considering she isn't a well-known character at all, but I prefer her to Lola any day of the week.
Wile. E. Coyote's head looks way too big compared to the others. Tweety and Speedy are 100% out of scale. (and they stand out far more than in the Disney Series where they're all out of scale).
And let's not even talk about Road Runner.
Other ones look alright.
Say what you like about Road Runner, I'm really interested to see what the tail piece looks like. And I love the bowl of (exploding?) birdseed.
I will be very disappointed if Daffy's sign cannot be flipped around to say "Duck Season."
Speaking of Daffy, we can now duplicate his piano duel with Donald in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
@Paperballpark said:

It looks like Porky has MID-legs
I am so going to feed the Road Runner to Willey E. Coyote.
He deserves a snack after a lifetime of trying...
Most of them are top notch representations. I don't actually dislike any, and I'm seriously tempted by Taz and Wyle.
I have only two issues.
1.) I feel like Marvin's head needs to be bigger - I think there are existing pieces that might have worked (20953 sphere perhaps?) and then just mould his helmet as extra? Licensing is tricky with approvals and LEGO is pretty unforgiving where representing some characters is concerned so I can see why he looks a bit odd. Others might not be bothered but he doesn't look right to me.
2.) Elmer Fudd - I understand perhaps needing to create a balance of figures and perhaps there's a violence/gun thing going on, but I doubt that - Looney Toons pretty much is entirely slapstick violence. So, yeah, it's just a shame he's not here.
They really do look okay, wish there were more new accessories, but the set is fine as it is.

Wow cool, they look so nice! Must have them all, cannot wait, til they will be available in germany!
On the plus side, these match far better with the large 10261 Roller Coaster as WB characters are the official character mascots for Six Flags parks. On the downside, they don't translate well to standard minifigure design, Lego should have based them on Friends minidolls.
The Nesquick Bunny from the late 90s did have a rigid ABS head and ears.
I love them all, sitting in the dark not paying any attention to these new figures coming along and boom, what a great selection, and a good selection of accessory parts to go with each figure.
Brilliant
Honestly, if this news had come up two days earlier, I might have ruled it out as an April Fools' prank! I like Looney Tunes as much as the next guy; but of all the possible properties for a minifigure series, they don't seem like the most obvious choice to me, due to their wildly-varied proportions.
That said... if I get any, it'd probably be Daffy, he looks the best out of all of them to me ^^ I personally think Lola looks good too; though Space Jam's never been my favourite piece of Looney Tunes media, she seems like a sensible choice given her prominence in that movie's marketing - especially if there's any truth to these sequel rumours. I like Road Runner's head mould, but it does look just a *liiiiittle* out of place on a minifigure anatomy... and like others have said, Tweety could have worked better with the minifigure baby torso.
I did always like the DTV movie Tweety's High-Flying Adventure back in the day, though, so he has some nostalgic appeal to me regardless.
Petunia... huh, is she making a come-back in the new cartoon series? I remember seeing her in a fairly old Bugs Bunny storybook, but I've never actually seen her in any of the animated media, so I can only guess she's being given her eventual day in the spotlight!
My on reservation about these, though... as with most Looney Tunes toy renditions, I would have liked a wider range of facial expressions. Their animated forms are so expressive that, to me, basic smiles don't quite do the characters justice. That might just be me being picky, though xD;

He was, for a while; however I remember reading he was bought back when Mexicans - the same race who he was supposedly offensive to - protested because they had fond memories of him from childhood. This proved that he wasn't as offensive as the executives thought he was, so he was reinstated; he's been around the main cast, on and off, ever since the mid-2000s as far as I'm aware... I even won a videotape of his cartoons about that time for submitting some artwork to a Looney Tunes magazine, so I know they were acknowledging him again by then! Though I admit, I haven't been keeping up with Looney Tunes media since Back in Action so I don't know how big of a role he has nowadays.

Um, maybe I used the wrong term, sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable on such matters. I just assumed, since the character had been criticised for being a racist stereotype, it meant that the group in question was a race. Sorry if I caused offence.
...what would be the correct term? For future reference?
Iconic characters missing: Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, probably a few others.
No idea who the yellow-purple-pink rabbit(?) figure is and the female pig next to Porky Pig is only a very rarely used Looney Tune. We could have easily had Elmer and Yosemite in this set and it would have been a real banger of a set with every figure worth collecting.
Agree that Road Runner deserves a different lower half with skinny bird legs.
edit: And for those wondering about Speedy being a bad representation of Mexicans - when polls were done, Mexicans by and large love the character and wanted to keep it.
Thgey all look pretty good except for Tweedy and Speedy.

Country origin, perhaps ethnicity - and that last one with a huge grain of salt, because a country might have a number of ethnicities forming its people (as is the case in Mexico).
I can't find any previous news about this set. I tried going back several pages in the New Sets filter of news, and I tried the search with it set to News which seems completely worthless as a search function since it routinely returns no results and cannot find even this current article with the simple search term of "Looney Tunes".
Where can I read more about this set?
132 Comments in and no one has asked for Big Chungus, smh Brickset community.
Roadrunner would have been better with the faun's leg, I guess.
But he is so not anthropomorphic, they shouldn't have force it.
Looks like a bunch of kids dressing up for a Looney Tunes party.
But I’m buying all of em. Just sayin.

For Marvin it makes complete sense. He traditionally has a plain red torso with absolutely no details added. Roadrunner doesn't appear to have a detailed torso, either. relying instead on the different color of the wings to liven things up.
@CCC:
Head, tail, and...what exactly? From what I can see, every character comes with a new head except Marvin (who has a new helmet). The only other visibly new parts are Roadrunner's and Speedy's tails, and Marvin's skirt. Wile E. and Taz use Rocket Racoon's tail. I can't see Sylvester's or Daffy's, but there are perfectly suitable cat and duck tails available. None of the accessories involve new parts, and Petunia is wearing Minnie Mouse's skirt. Oh, and Roadrunner's wings came from the CMF Chicken Suit Guy.
@tenfootgerbil:
I've never heard of Gossamer, but the frog is named Michigan J. Frog.
@TheOtherMike:
The sign looks to be a roadsign with a clip on the back, so aside from the fact that it would just look weird, it would also be a tricky thing to print around the clip.
@manjeroque:
Doesn't matter. The full-size legs have already been produced in that color, as far back as HP4's 4762. It's only the hips that have remained missing. Because these are midi-legs instead of short legs, the hips are removable.
@Rimefang:
Yeah, as long as the base of the ear is thick enough front-to-back, it'll compensate for the narrow profile as seen from the front.
@ThatBionicleGuy:
We'd already heard of this rumor sometime in the last few months, so even if the image did get posted on April 1st, that would have been an insane amount of work for someone to mock up, knowing that even a single instance of someone getting their hands on the real deal would put all that work to waste.
I read an article about the backlash against the backlash against Speedy. What it really boils down to is that a bunch of mostly white mostly Americans have been going around finding anything that they feel might be offensive to other people and trying to get those things "cancelled". It didn't sit well in this instance because Speedy, being for a very long time one one of the few instances of Mexican representation, is apparently still beloved by the Mexican-American community.
@yacoub:
Yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath for Pepé. He's reportedly been excised from the upcoming Space Jam 2. This didn't sit well with the intended subject of his affections, who felt that the scene she filmed would have made an important statement regarding his behavior. The French haven't rallied to his defense, so for the immediate future, at least, WB appears to be retiring the character to very little objection.
@gonesnakee:
Speedy is specifically based on Mexican culture, not the entirety of the Hispanic world. That would be like saying Europeans might be offended by how they are negatively portrayed in Pepé Le Pew cartoons, when he's clearly French.

Yes, I'd like to know as well. Would be fantastic if it was East Bay.

From the legendary 1957 "What's Opera, Doc?" short, which was loosely based on Wagner's operas, most notably Der Ring des Nibelungen (itself one of the inspirations for Lord of the Rings). WOD is the first animated short to be inducted into the Library of Congress' National Film Registry in 1992, and was voted ?1 on a list of the 50 Greatest Cartoons in 1994.
I’m finding myself inspired to make a Green Loontern and Super Bunny (whatever that character’s actual name is), as well as giving Taz a cyclone piece originally meant for Zane from Ninjago.
@PurpleDave: It looked like a new-mold piece when I first looked at it, but looking closer, I see you're right. Oh, well. Maybe it'll include two signs, one for each season.

Also, the thread has over 140 comments now. Many people won't bother to read through everything before making their own post. In a case like this, they may be hoping to see the article updated with that info rather than checking back repeatedly for a reply in the comments.
@bsv103:
Ooh, I've got a bag of spare Green Lantern bodies that I was able to pick up on the cheap at Bricks & Pieces several years ago. I hadn't even considered that, but absolutely I'll be making a Green Loontern now.
Oh these are...these are something. Not great.
serious? WHERE is Yosemite Sam??
@PurpleDave
Oh dear... Usually you’re more on the ball than this Dave.
The correct reply to my post would have been “Spear and magic helmet!” but thanks replying with your informative recommendation which will hopefully prompt anyone unfamiliar with Chuck Jones magnum opus to check it out...
I'm very excited for these. I've got happy memories of watching these cartoons 30+ years ago :)

Yes! And I'll give you a sample! (Ka-boom!)
I need them ALL
@xboxtravis7992:
That is _never_ the wrong Warner cartoon.
@Mmccreadie:
Eh, I'm familiar with it, but that doesn't mean I have it memorized. It'd been years since the last time I've seen the whole thing, and currently the only full versions I was able to locate on Youtube are recordings of orchestras playing the music with the film playing on a screen behind them.

That's banned!
Despite Pepe having a toned down version in The Looney Tunes Show (2011).
must... have... all... of... them...
(drooling)
Should have swapped Lola and Petunia (like, seriously, - Petunia?) for Granny and Witch. Gonzales and Tweetty should have been made into micro-figs / accessories. Also, this pick is screaming of Elmer and Sam missing.
Never seen the female pig (ever). Another memorable miss (beside Yosemite Sam, and Pepe le Pew) is Foghorn Leghorn and also the sheep dog.
As mafon2 mentions above, Witch Hazel would also have been fun. I might get a few if they are easily identifiable - I can't stand blind bags as it goes against an informed decision when buying.
And, I feel the anvil that comes with Wil. E. Coyote should've had an Acme print.
I hope they didn't skip Yosemite Sam just because his most famous props are cartoon six-shooters and/or dynamite. Likewise Elmer Fudd with his cartoon shotgun. Both are must-haves in any set purporting to cover popular Looney Tunes. Likewise, Foghorn Leghorn is a big miss.

These were found in an independent toy store. CMFs are usually 1-2 dollars more than MSRP in independent toy stores
I saw these going for SEVEN dollars up charged at a local toy shop. No thanks, I can wait a month to buy them at MSRP.
Where is
Elmer Fudd
Granny
Pepe la pew
Foghorn Leghorn

@gonesnakee:
I think your point kinda missed the point. Speedy is Mexican. One person said "Mexican" is a race. You're right, it's not. The solution isn't to stop calling Speedy Mexican. It's to stop saying "Mexican" is a race.
BTW, you got it wrong, too. You said, "Spanish People from North and South America". Mexicans aren't Spanish. They speak Spanish, but they're not from Spain. They're Hispanic and Latino, but not Spanish.

Yeah, Marvin having more realistic proportions as a minifig than originally is a bit.... unnerving.
As they’re in the wild now, do we have the barcode/EAN number for these?
Apologies in advance if this is already common knowledge, but does anyone know if the box set of 36 will be available for purchase on LEGO.com on May 1?

That's her name. Could pair her torso with the NBA minifig legs. Looks like she comes with a basketball.

me too
@Jotahesse1:
That looks more like a Bionicle “voodoo” ball, which first appeared on Tahu’s chest. It’s compatible with the Throwbot socket joints, and on one side has a hole that will accept either a stud or an axle. This would be a little more accurate for size, and allow her to hold it on one hand. The NBA basketball would just sit there. Or roll away.

Thanks, @CCC and @jsosse , for the answer; really appreciate it! I'll definitely be more careful to use the correct term in the future ^^ And again, my apologies to anyone I unintentionally offended.

Gossamer's the big red furry monster who wears sneakers; though in fairness, he's rarely mentioned by name onscreen. But yeah, this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4fjA8W-6es

On a different note, just had a thought. Maybe the lack of certain major characters like Elmer, Yosemite Sam, etc. is deliberate, to save them for a potential series 2? (Most licensed CMF waves have had two series; so far I think DC heroes is the only ones that hasn't.) Otherwise if all the iconic characters were used up here, a second series would be stuck with alternate costumes or less recognisable characters; this way, they guarantee they've got some good options left for another series ^^
Though if they do include some alternate costumes in a second series, a Duck Dodgers in the 24th and a Halfth Century version of Daffy is practically a must!
@ThatBionicleGuy:
Wow. I’d totally forgotten about him, which is weird because I’m pretty sure he hangs out with Marvin in some shorts. And I’m pretty sure there’s nothing underneath all that hair in some shorts, where this one shows a bald head.
As for multi-series licensed CMFs, it gets worse. All previous licensed CMF waves have ranged between 16-20 minifigs. This only gets 12, so it’d take about three waves just to be on par with anything that got two releases before.
Late to this party.
Some are absolutely perfect (Daffy! Wile E! Sylvester!) and some are freakishly awful (looking at you, Tweety and Marvin).
If Itchy The Mouse can be minifig'd, so can other small toons.
I'm so glad I'm not a minifig collector. This is really ridiculous. What's next? If they do Game of Thrones, I'm in.

Perhaps if you were a fan you’d know who the characters were. Also might get the correct cartoon creators. LooneyTunes / MGM not Hanna-Barbera."
Hanna and Barbera were known for starting Tom & Jerry.
@asherkobin:
Short of chasing down 3rd party custom minifigs, I think the closest you're going to get is to just get a big pile of skeletons and call it Game of Thrones: Aftermath.
I grew up on Looney Tunes and I don't recognize the two female characters.
Where's Yosemite Sam?
I said I wasn’t buying any more blind bag minifigures & then they bring out these? Not fair Lego, if I buy one my OCD kicks in like a MF & I will end up buying all 12...
Petunia Pig is the only one I'd want from these. I'm kind of sour at the lack of Witch Hazel.
I would've turned Tweety into an accessory for Sylvester and replaced them with Tina Russo, but other than that fantastic series

"For whatever reason, Marvin and Road Runner have no torso printing whatsoever. Why LEGO is still doing this today is beyond me."
In the cartoons Marvin wears a plain red shirt, with no detail on it whatsoever, so there's no need for printing. And Road Runner's torso is just plain light blue, so the same applies to him
Am I the only one who sees roadrunner’s head being used for a woody woodpecker? Also, where’s Elmer Fudd?
When are they out...just bloody bought the vidyo series....
