It's been an exceedingly busy weekend for set reveals and reviews, and we've had trouble keeping up with it all! I've been away from home for the first time this year and CapnRex101 is currently poorly, so apologies if you've had to look elsewhere for all the news.

I have just added a few more images of new sets that have been discovered on LEGO's instructions portal, but rather than list them all here I'll direct you to a query that shows all unreleased 2021 sets with images so you can view them all in one place.

Among them you'll find more BrickHeadz, two more Creator 3-in1- sets, a large City Wildlife Camp rescue set and the summer Friends sets.

At 2pm GMT+1 today I'll be publishing my appraisal of 10289 Bird of Paradise and tomorrow, 21056 Taj Mahal.

Welp, imma be broke this summer

By in Netherlands,

That croc is just very nice, quite large at about 42 studs (more with hinges+slopes) long as well.

Overall even outside the build, a good colored parts pack for slopes etc.

By in Germany,

There are more important things than LEGO news and reviews in this day and age.

@CapnRex101 : I hope you get well again soon.
All the best to you.

By in Singapore,

Why does the piece count of 11015 say 144? There's clearly way more than that.

41668 Emma's Fashion Cube had me thinking there was a new mint green color... I'm guessing it's just light aqua with weird white balance.

By in United Kingdom,

Don't worry about it, Huw - you're allowed to have a day off!
And get well soon, Cap!

By in Puerto Rico,

Yep, Wildlife Rescue series (I had planned for a reserve area in my new City and it's gonna be filled). Finally bought the UCS MF.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The bird on the crocodile is a tiny but fantastic touch. And the fish skeleton is a slightly larger but also fantastic touch. I LOVE that set.

spotted an azure 8x16 roadplate in 60307

@Huw, I think you've been doing a great job this week - still the most reliable Lego info site, IMO. Get well soon @CapnRex101

There's some interesting stuff in there and it looks like a real effort by Lego to add some variety. From the stuff not yet seen, I note a few things:
11015 with its themed builds & map poster is interesting for teaching kids
10775 Mickey & Donald's look like some new animals, and certainly a good selection
31122 Fish Bowl (should have been Fish Tank) is interesting
60307 Wildlife Camp also looks like a great wildlife set alongside the others announced earlier. Is tha a big horn sheep in there?

New animals are a big part of this wave of releases, that's for sure.

Oh, Creator 2021, why d'you have to do this to me?

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

They should do a Crocodile Dundee theme.

" new Sheep!!!!!!!!!"

I’m hyped! I have a running gag with a friend involving sheep, so this makes me very happy!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

That crocodile is GORGEOUS.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is looking like a really good summer for all themes, not so much for my wallet though! The Creator crocodile is amazing, I fear the price. I'll also definitely need to grab that sheep before the mould breaks and it's never seen again.

If Mickey Mouse brings Holstein cows in a low-cost set I will be unreasonably happy.

It is a white lion, but there is a sheep in the Disney set ;)
I had a small hope that 10775 would include minifig animals and against all odds it did :D What a fantastic couple of days it has been regarding animal moulds!

Um, the set is literally tagged “sheep”."

I may have to pick up the aquarium set. I like it's uniqueness.

It’s a ninja sheep ;~)

Seriously, I suspect we’ll see it - or at least the mould - in other sets over the next few years, much like we saw lots of pigs for a period. Hopefully, it won’t be a one-hit-wonder like the goat.

Gravatar
By in Estonia,

I bet there will be a shepherdess polybag or CMF along the way.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I feel sorry for the criminal in 60308. The Fire Department is going after him with a Hadouken cannon!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh, that Crocodile is niiiice. Wonder what the alt builds are, though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Lots of great new stuff to drain the wallet, across many themes. I thought they were pretty much giving up on Brickheadz (with the pets being the final few) but im pleased to see new ones, although it was inevitable ive been making extra ones for ages and sure enough Daisy, Scrooge and Voldemort have all been released, about 95% the same as mine..... I suppose they would given the source material and medium is the same.... although Lego have cheated (Printed parts). Lots more on the Wanted list now....

A Snake + mouse, and a Frog with a small fly.

Gravatar

SHEEP!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That crocodile and dinosaurs are going to go well together.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They're getting plenty of use out of the new Mickey silhouette tile.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice fish tank. I wonder what the alternates are?

Gravatar

Get well soon, Capn

@TeriXeri:
They’re making a frog with that set? I’m having a hard time picturing whether it will be larger or smaller than the largest frog I’ve seen in person. It was at least a foot long, not counting legs, and could jump about three feet in a single hop (and then bounce another inch or two, after which it seemed to be a little dazed for a few moments, so it really wasn’t faster than any of the other frogs we’d see at summer camp).

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I'm getting that Speed Champions GR Supra.
Other than that it's sad that half of these sets is licensed and only Ninjago proves to be somewhat original.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Get well @CapnRex101

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Seeing new ship - I hope for new Farm sets next year.
The crocki looks amazing. Day one buy

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Out of that list of 80, I only clicked 11 for wanted...(sigh)...My wallet is happy ;)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

So Mickey gets a horse, and Castle Creator doesn't! :'(

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Crocodile reminds me of the 5868 Ferocious Creatures set from 2010.

Not joking. Just ramming the point home. No reason to be sheepish about it. That would be baaaaad :~P

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thanks.

Couple quick impressions:

The new Speed Champions cars mostly look terrible; each year they seem to get worse. They somehow managed to take having the supposed benefit of two extra brick-width for design, and make worse-looking car representations than they did with the earlier Speed Champion vehicles that were narrower. The Supra and the '70 Challenger in particular are two I'd have been interested in if they looked even passably like their namesakes. A real shame there.

The unnamed Castle-like set looks bad compared to real Castle sets that use Castle themed wall pieces, but it is a way to get a couple more Black Falcon figures and shields if you're desperate. Meh.

By in United States,

I'm sure it has been discussed before, but the prices in the pictures of the Eternals sets differs from what Brickset has listed. At the picture price, all are easy passes (since I know nothing of the Eternals anyway). But at the BS price, they would be more justifiably purchased.

the prices on the pictures are the Canadian prices. Brickset lists the estimated US Prices.

Croc and Fish Tank estimated $/€/£ 30-35.

By in United States,

Little disappointed that the don't seem to have reused the Number One Dime tile print from 71024-6 for the Scrooge Brickheadz.
Speaking of tile prints, is that a repurposed Minecraft tile print in 41667 ? Clever.
It occurs to me that Arishem from 76164 wouldn't look too out of place in a Bionicle display. Especially the reboot, which had stickers on the figures.
I'm a little surprised that Camila from 41687 doesn't have one of the wands created for the Harry Potter line, but just a 3L bar. I had to check and make sure it wasn't a 4+ set.
I like the fact that they seem to be doing an underwater Ninjago line. I always have loved underwater-themed Lego sets.
I just noticed the 31121 crocodile's eyes. clever.

Most of all : get well soon CapnRex and get back safely on Board !

By in United States,

@Snagel:
Meh. I might still buy it to build the frog, but I was hoping it'd be bigger. That's quite a bit smaller than the live frog we found at summer camp one year.

Gravatar
By in United States,

OMG Speed Champions!!!

And the Juniorfication of City continues…

LEGO models are usually smaller than the things they represent. If you were hoping that the LEGO elephants due out this summer would be larger than life-size, I’m afraid you’re going to be very, very disappointed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is easily the best wave of Speed Champions sets yet. There isn't a single one of these I don't want.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Zander:
I think you completely missed the point. This model is actually larger than the vast majority of live frogs I have seen in my life. There was an African Clawed Frog in my college's bio lab that I think was about this same size, but that one that we found at summer camp was simply unreal for how large it was. It was a long shot that they'd ever produce a frog model that gigantic. Dave Kaleta's dissected frog might be about the same size.
