Shouldn’t that be:

Another meh !

Gravatar
By in United States,

Both of these are epic!!!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

When Thor's stomach is so famously out of shape that even LEGO makes specifically designed printed pieces for it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Absolutely in love with both of these, but ESPECIALLY Bro Thor's New Asgard! A Day 1 buy, for sure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why can you see Steve’s head inside the *closed* mech in all the official pictures? It’s as if either the graphic designer/photographer or the set designer got awfully lazy. I try not to complain about the sheer number of mechs marvel is producing, but at least put some effort into them.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That does look like a good build for the TV

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Velkommen til Tønsberg <3

Gravatar
By in United States,

LEGO Korg. I must have it. This newest wave of sets (especially Marvel, Star Wars, and Ninjago) is amazing

Gravatar
By in France,

That cluttered room is the most unexpected thing I have seen coming from LEGO i've seen in quite a while xD especially from the Marvel line...
I love it !

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm surprised they've included Thor's beer keg. These both look pretty good, TBH. Really nice minifigs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Got to say I love the Thor set and loving the new ‘What If’ line. Haven’t got a clue where the ‘What If’ line comes from (comics maybe?) but the new figures it’s creating are great, nice work Lego ????

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I like that room set!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ah, should’ve read the article better, disney+.

It's an animated show for Disney+, coming later this year (I think).

"What If" was (is? it comes and goes) a comic series featuring alternate storylines...e.g. "What If...this happened instead". Disney+ is making an animated series with the same name, which is likely where these sets come from (a preview already shows Captain Carter and a large robot, which is presumably what this mech is even if the proportions/dimensions/color are all off)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Why does Carter not have the right costume? She should have the UK flag on her chest, not just white. Well, that's just saved me some money.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I will get the What if set for the Minifigs.. I love that Captain Carter Minifig, the infinity Saga one is cool but I don't need it!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want a Red Skull figure and the new Tesseract is cool so those are the main draws of the What-If set for me. The New Asgard set is cool as well, it's one of those things I didn't know I wanted until they actually made it. The fact that they have Fortnite on the TV is accurate and it reminds me of the other game easter eggs they include in sets, like the Spider-Man Lair one having Spider-Man PS4 on it. The beer and figures are hilarious as well, Meek looks a bit off, though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So, at least two of these What If...? sets have really decent versions of non-What If...? characters.

Clever, Lego. Clever.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Also, I hate movie Miek. Look up comic Miek if you're ever bored. Very, very different character.

I imagine they probably didn't have much to go off of tbf. Even with animated, non-canon series, Disney seems content with staying super secretive per usual. Heck, all we really know about the show that doesn't come from LEGO is that the live-action cast will voice their respective characters and a few episode synopsis'. That's it. And as far as I can tell, "Captain Carter" never happened in the comics.

Gravatar

These are awesome! Curse you and your money-siphoning powers, LEGO!!!

The most recent iteration of the Exiles comic (which was essentially What If...? with a running plot) featured Captain Cater. She was essentially modeled on the early promos of the What If...? TV show, so more than a little synergy at work there. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Exiles_Vol_3_3

By in Netherlands,

Um, what? That's TWO What If? sets now, both of which feature a brightly colored hulkbuster-type mech. Wouldn't it be so funny if that was the whole lineup for the series, just an army of rainbow hulkbusters with some weird semi-canon characters. That actually sounds like something a poor-quality knockoff brand would do lol. I'm all for it though, but I don't think there will be any more big mechs in the What If? series (two is already far more than I'd expected).

Gravatar
By in Romania,

Same Red Skull but with leg printing. I don't know how I should feel about that. They've really started to jumble up original figures with comic book figures, MCU figures and game figures. There are no rules to it.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

big love for new thor set : D small to the point and should look nice on the shelf under my thor stuff (cosplay old stuff)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I admire the Marvel and DC Lego sets from afar, not really my thing (other than mahoosive Batwings/mobiles) But I will DEFINITELY be buying 76200 Bro Thor's New Asgard - although it’s a 7+ set it looks a bit tongue in cheek to me with a sly wink to the AFOL crowd - and I think that sets it apart.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! I can't wait to recreate the famous scene where Thor got horribly depressed, became an acholic, and tried to waste his days way playing Fortnite! Nice to have a LEGO set with bottles of beer lying around.
Look, I know it's a funny yet sad scene, but is that scene really something to make into a toy? Especially one for kids? Maybe LEGO's obsession with apartments kinda bled into Marvel after making all those sitcom sets.

As for the mech, I actually like it! I don't think I'll be picking it up myself, but it gives some pretty cool figures and an interesting (if formulaic) build. I just think it's funny how one-sided the fight with Red Skull is.

It looks like this is her version of the Stealth Suit from The Winter Soldier movie. The regular Captain Carter figure with the red white and blue costume is coming in the Marvel Disney+ CMF series in September.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Can’t believe we’re getting a Captain Britain stealth suit before a Captain America one! Not that I’m complaining, I’m really happy Lego are putting out two variants of her!

Gravatar
By in United States,

i wish the Korg figure could come with a sound chip. One of the best things about him is Taika's laidback NZ accent.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I love the 'living room' thing (?), ... but Thor is 'Bro' now? And what about the 'what if ...' ?

Makes me wonder, what the hell is Disney doing to Marvel? Should catch up with the recent movies i think, but still... Is this theme going the right way? :s

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

As much as I love that Thor set I'll be saving my cash.

Whatever they’re doing seems to be working, given that they’ve made ~$22bn.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There's also two previously unrevealed sets for Spider-Man: No Way Home on the U.S. site!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Endgame set with Thor has a glaring issue. The newspaper reads "5 years after the blip," but this scene is set 5 years after the snap. The snap was the event in Infinity War, the blip was the event at the very end of Endgame.

How

Gravatar
By in United States,

Good job Lego on extending Bro Thor's stomach into the leg piece.

Gravatar
By in United States,

With Bro Thor, I can finally make a Lego figure that looks like me without my shirt on...

Gravatar
By in Estonia,

If LEGO had made a proper new piece for Pooh's torso, it could've been used for Bro Thor as well. And for Santa Clause in City Advent Calendars.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Brah!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is that a new wedge piece (45 degree angle with studs?) on the Captain Carter mech? Does not seem like it would be the existing triangle tile due to only being 1 plate.

I was kind of hoping we'd get the triangle tile in green.

Korg is cool, but nothing else really excites me about these.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I know nothing about Thor etc but love that vignette, more sets like that please!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Bro Thor's New Asgard looks great!
Wonder why they did not mention these at their Lego Con. Unless I missed that or unless it is better to "unannounce" new sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Thor set is great! You could put it next to the Friends apartment for some interesting neighbors.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

These are more sets that should have been revealed at Lego Con.

Gravatar

That Thor set is simply, "Marvelous!"

Fat Thor! Sign me up, Lebowski!

"The Snap" is how fans refer to it. In universe, they call it "the Blip." Now, there's a case to be made that people wouldn't call it "the Blip" until after the 5 years, since the returned felt like they'd "blipped" in and out of existence. But anyway, there's no reason for most people in-universe to call it "the snap." Thor was the only one to actually witness it.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Thor set looks like a decent parts pack for making a bro room in one of the modulars.

Gravatar

To me that New Asgard room looks a bit like Penny's apartment from TBBT ;-P

Gravatar

Love the Thor one, will be a buy for us. I really like vignette-style sets and the humor of this particular one.

Even though I don’t own any mechs I’ve considered because it’s a nice affordable way to get a minifigure and set

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the WHAT IF...? mech. Very cool set.
Love the figs.
Don't get the bro' thor hangout. Great accessories to have, but what kid would like this as a play-set?
This should've been like a SDCC, or NYCC comic con exclusive.

I would guess this one is catering to the adult market as much as anything.

Possibly to differentiate this minifigure from one that could, maybe, hypothetically be in the forthcoming Marvel CMF line. Who knows? I certainly hope so as the emblem on her chest and her shield really ought to be in the colours of the Union Flag.

Actually upon seeing a few other pictures, it looks like it is a green recolor of 26601. Some of the pictures make it seem like it is a larger element then what it is hence my wondering.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really wish Thor's TV was more accurate to Fortnite. I guess Lego had to avoid some copyright issues?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really like the New Asgard vignette, and the whole Marvel/DC license is one I've been more critical of. The decorated parts have lots of reuse potential, but I'l bet you the TV screen is printed.

I have an idea the Steve Rogers figure will be popular--looks pretty decent attempt at a WWII USGI uniform (minus the 1911 holster). Too bad a recolored (to OD green) helmet off one of the Toy Story Green Army men wasn't included. I'm the kind of guy who views any "aftermarket" parts (including BrickArms and custom printed torsos) are sacrilegious, and to see something military-related is quite a surprise.

But, both of these sets have things that are supposedly against LEGO's standards. We've had two sets cancelled because of their supposedly strong stance against certain issues; yet they kinda skip over that when it's relating to certain characters or scenes in their cash cow licensed themes.

In the New Asgard set, I see what looks like alcohol/beer bottles. The whole origins of Captain America are rooted in WWII; and he's wearing a pretty close to accurate uniform. Many will be bought for the uniforms, I will bet. I remember that the reason the classic castle set from nearly 50 years ago was yellow was that they wanted to keep kids from using gray bricks to make military vehicles.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That new Tesserect piece is just weird. I think the Minecraft head piece would've worked better!

Lego Miek sees into my soul...and thinks its delicious. That's up there with Lego Squidward as one of the most distressing faces ever printed

Gravatar

Interesting opinion, given that the ‘new’ piece is in fact a Minecraft creeper head

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I’ve never watched a marvel thing in my life but I love the first set. It’s so like the old fishing store.

Gravatar
By in United States,

We've gotten many Marvel mechs. What we haven't gotten before is a Lego mancave. I think I NEED it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

76200 is fantastic.

I tend to put Marvel sets on my "buy" list and then they get bumped down by other sets and I only end up with about 1/2 of them. But *this* set is a definite buy. It's cute, small, and detailed without being overwhelming.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Not sure about the mech (although Peggy Carter looks good), but that New Asgard set should be a must buy for me!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was never a fan of F*R*I*E*N*D*S, but the apartments set intrigued me--until I saw 76200, which is just as interesting and much less expensive. Thank you, TLG!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Fat Thor is my favorite minifig of the year so far!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Brilliant having a proper Beer belly Thor love it ;-);-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Thor set looks interesting. Is the brown bottle by the pizza a new color or just off because of the render? The What If set I want the minifigs but have no interest in the ugly Mech so it's a pass.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I love the tiny console controllers in first set. Looks great!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not a fan of the Marvel sets, but New Asgard is a great parts pack and I might end up picking that up

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really like Bro Thor's New Asgard - I would love to be one of Thor's bros. :) Lots of fun stuff in this set.

Gravatar

i will pick 76200 for sure and trasform in a pirate tavern :)

comiccon exlusives are a shitty thing, hate them with a passion.

I will check about the kids once I have it and boys will be around to mess with my lego (they love the arena from thor3 so maybe a bro room would also be fun?)

I hate missing out on cool sets because they were convention exclusives, but it is strange that they put a 7+ age rating on a display set. Will be a day 1 buy for me regardless though.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Okay, just noticed an error with Bro Thor. You see, a newspaper is included with the headline '5 Years After The Blip'. Well, according to Kevin Feige, the blip was actually the Hulk Snap, not Thanos.

Just a minor discrepancy I found.
