9/20… so not that good…

By in United States,

That was hard- but can someone explain how Obi-Wan's starfighter has not been made? What about 10215? Or even 75006? I have to be missing something here...

It's a little bit of a trick question - it refers specifically to the model of starfighter with the astromech in the centre in front of the pilot, but all the set Obi-Wan gets are the other version with the droid held on the 'wing'

The question mentions the Delta-7B Aethersprite-class Interceptor from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, rather than the previous Delta-7 variant from Attack of the Clones.

These questions are supposed to be difficult, since I think that is more fun than an easy quiz. Whether answering correctly or not, hopefully the trivia is interesting or surprising.

By in Canada,

I am not in the target group for this. I love Star Wars just like the next guy but I do not collect it in Lego (or any other) form. At one point, I was collecting the UCS sets but following a second dark ages, I stopped that - and my wallet is happier! That said, the Cantina is very tempting (if it ever becomes available again)

Anyhow, I only got 8 out of 20! My "knowledge" questions were reasonably good, the weaknesses were mostly when I had to pick a year for the appearance of something. Assuming 5 would be the score for a totally random pick I suppose it's ok.

By in Canada,

... released in ... during ..., is the earliest example of a vehicle that appeared once and has never been updated.

I'm pretty sure the answer for this is wrong as I clicked the year listed in this set but got it wrong.

By in Netherlands,

9/20 so pretty damn good :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Why can’t I see any questions?

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

4/20, so not that good

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/20. I was hoping I could do better! Good job remembering the name of Vonreg’s TIE though! Not many people know it!

You're not alone.
I felt sure I knew almost all of these.

It must be rigged... somehow.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

...hey wait a minute! The score says it's out of twenty; but either I'm going mad, or I count twenty-two questions in the quiz...?

EDIT: Yeah, counting it again... questions 2 and 18 aren't worth any points; so the score comes out at 20, but you don't get any marks for those two questions, even if you get them right. Is... that correct?

Gravatar
By in United States,

10/20, worst one yet for me.

The chrome saber hilt got me… I thought of the last year the normal piece was made in chrome and didn’t think about Dooku… tricky!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Wait a minute… Wasn’t boba Fett introduced in the Christmas special?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just wanna know why the hoth there are only three lightsabers in the death star sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

15/20, tough questions. Thank you for hosting, CapnRex101.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

So adjusting for the extra questions... I actually scored 10/22, but the results rate me at 9/20. Still, that's... roughly my usual average, either way!

Questions I got easily: Landspeeder colour; earliest vehicle that only appeared once (took me a moment, but then I realised I used to have the set in question!); festive minifigure; Anakin & Sebulba's Podracers (once I realised the question included mini-scale, not just minifig-scale); proto-microfighters and Mace Windu. Delta-7B almost tripped me up, until I caught on that the 'B' was very significant.

Changed minifigures, I knew about two of the sets, but not the third, and guessed the wrong way of the remaining two. Clone officers I should have known, but completely forgot the existence of one guy. I didn't even know that green lightsabers were no longer trans-neon green so that one was a wild guess-and-miss. And four TIEs slipped my count; I remembered all of them up to the Defender, and the two newest, but missed the ones in between.

And all the rest were guesses, educated or otherwise; three were right, the rest were wildly off!

Good spot! Points are added manually and I must have forgotten to update those two. I have now removed those questions so there are only twenty questions and the quiz remains out of twenty points.

Thanks!

By in United States,

I, too, know nothing John Snow.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Got a less than stellar 8/20. Yikes!
Going to say it is all down to the data centre problems and should have read 18/20. ;)

Gravatar

11/20 so not so good but really great and fun questions!

Can you share with us what those two questions and the associated trivia were?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Got 8/20... 100% random guessing.
Pretty good as someone who's never seen a Star Wars film. (and who's Lego Star Wars collection consists of Yoda and R2-D2 as the only sets I'd ever heard of!)

Gravatar
By in United States,

12/20. Man, a few of those were trick questions! Like Clone Trooper Battle Pack vs. Clone Troopers Battle Pack, Battle for Geonosis instead of Battle of, and the Delta 7B vs. the Delta 7. I was sure I had those.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh wowsies, only 7/20

Strangely most the ones I got right were where I took a stab in the dark!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't understand the answer to the last question regarding TIE-series vehicles. It seems not to count polybags, or Microfighters.

Gravatar
By in France,

6/20... I messed up with the numerous dates.

Gravatar
By in United States,

4/20. I'd likely have done better by random guessing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

14/20 a couple of decent trick questions and me not paying close enough attention to them.

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

7/20. Not good enough for a big Star Wars fan

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I had to guess all of these and got 6/20, which is about rigth for guessing them all...

By in United Kingdom,

The question concerns how many different TIE-series vehicles have appeared in LEGO sets, rather than the total number of sets containing TIE-series vehicles of any kind.

OOOooohhhh... I see. Thanks for clarifying!

It is only meaning variants so the original tie fighter is just worth 1 even though they have made about 20

Gravatar
By in United States,

5/20 Not too good.

Gravatar
By in Jordan,

14/20. Not bad in my book considering a lot of them were guesses!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

6/20 ,old school report haunting "must try harder"

Gravatar
By in Australia,

10/20

It could be wors... There’s something alive in here!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

7/20 with copious guesses.

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/20 and i was not confident about a lot of those lol

Gravatar
By in Canada,

9 / 20 "Wait a minute, how did this happen, Im smarter than this!"

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love these, whoever comes up with them is amazing

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/20, with the remaining 12 being completely wild guesses, haha. Most of my misses were year based, and of course I forgot about Gasgano's podracer, one of the least memorable vehicles in the saga. I'm a pretty big Star Wars nerd, and I couldn't even begin to tell you what that thing even looks like.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

some random clicking gave me 7/20 :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I swear these are getting harder. That’s my excuse for how much worse my results are getting…

Gravatar
By in Australia,

5/20 I only had to guess 19 of them...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

8/20 the force was Average with this one!
I've done worse though ??..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

10/20. I surprised myself, I thought I had got less.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

16/20 without looking stuff up as I like it to be challenging. Did pretty well. For some reason I thought 2004's Luke's Landspeeder (which is one I don't own) was dark tan, but that colour did not exist back then.

Gravatar
By in United States,

11/20, so close to a passing grade but I guess I’ll need to retake the course. Huw, can you please send me all the sets mentioned in this quiz so that I can study and retake this quiz next semester. Thanks!

Gravatar
By in United States,

15/20.
I would argue that Betrayal at Cloud City contains the most lightsabers. The two silver ones for Luke and Vader, plus five black ones, four of which are for the Slave 1's blasters, and one light bluish gray one, which is part of a lamp. I thought it was a trick question because of the many uses of the lightsaber hilt piece.

Gravatar
By in United States,

8/20

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

10/20 not bad

I would just like to say thank you to all the people who allow things like this to happen

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm glad I scored low, Means Im not in as deep as I thought I was! :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I scored 13/20 which is good but I miss the number of tie fighters and what year had one product was not updated other that I lt was great

it specifically says delta 7B the "B" variant has the asromech in the center of the fuselage where as the one they have made is the delta 7 with the asromech on the wing (as just a head but its there)

Gravatar
By in United States,

"wait a minute how did this happen [I'm] smarter than this" -obi wan (ben) kenobi
I am truly embarrassed only 13/20 and I own 98% of the star wars line i don't like the lightsaber ucs question though because ucs grievous uses brick built lightsaber pieces and all the other sets use minifigure lightsabers those shouldn't be grouped together like that

Those are Delta 7's, with the droid on the wing
Delta 7B's have the droid in front of the cockpit.
