So many popular sets I get placed in a queue when i click the shopping link.

UCS Republic Gunship ordered. Don’t listen to the haters! ;)

Note that the Gunship is limited to a max of 2 per account. Maybe TLG are listening?

Strangely (from the UK anyway) it's a queue if using Brickset link. Straight in if you don't.

Same here. Sorry Brickset, but the link just puts me in the queue. Works if I just go directly to the store website though. I didn't buy any of the new releases, but I did have some sets waiting in my wishlist - enough to get the Sailboat GWP :)

By in United Kingdom,

Shame Stuntz aren't out yet, had to resort to a few S21 minifigs to get over the £200 threshold for the boat.

Hopefully there's plenty of this GWP for everyone not just the crazy midnight gang.

Yess, bye bye $500.

By in United Kingdom,

I like the boat, and I could get to the £200 threshold (& importantly, afford to do so), but I'm drawing a line in the sand. That's a ridiculous threshold, and we shouldn't be encouraging them as they make the threshold ever higher. The dickens book was bad enough at £150, how long before we have a £250, £300 gwp barrier at the rate they want to go?

Um, sorry Brickset, but right now in America it's still July 31st. Time zones can really screw things up sometimes.

For a £200+ spend. Lego should've just made this available as a set to buy."

Wondering for that amount, if you can just buy the parts and build it for cheaper.

The boat is massive, and much better then pretty much any other GWP I've seen. If they make the high threshold GWPs really good, fine by me

Tommy Tutone wrote the song with the phone number: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/867-5309/Jenny . The gunship has those last five digits. If it were to sell out, it should be disabled for purchase on the web site. "86" is slang for making something unavailable or getting rid of it: https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/eighty-six-meaning-origin . So the web manager should remove (86) set number 75309.

Pretty simple joke. /s

Cool I didnt understand how the 86 related to Lego. Thanks for explaining!

Cheaper than $0? Because that’s how much it is. It’s certainly not £200 because that’s how much you’re paying for the actual item, which is how much it would have cost if there was no GWP.

By in Greenland,

The site crashed…

Gravatar
By in United States,

Site is broken again... working now! Gotta give it a couple tries.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Purchases won't go through. Ugh.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sorry to see about the issues others above me had, but my order just went through, and much easier than I was expecting. Wasn't super fast, but it didn't crash for me.

Gravatar
By in Greenland,

I think it worked. Hopefully I’ll get a confirmation email soon enough.

Serious questions: why do they have to release all of their summer sets in NA at the exact same minute? Spreading releases just by a few hours would greatly help.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can't get it to take my payment...usually release day issues.

Update: After several tries, it went through. Not as bad as the Jan 1st release, but these frustrations have gotten old.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Only took about 5 trys lol

Gravatar
By in United States,

Finally some success after they initiated the waiting room. I had one order error out, but magically showed up in my orders. My other order went through normally but is taking it's sweet time. Has this happened to others where an error code goes through still?

After one of the last releases, I had an error before getting the confirmation number, but the order went through.

Fingers crossed for you.

By in United States,

Tough decision trying to decide what to get but I went with the Ice Palace, Owl & Spider and Haunted House with the GWP. Took a bit to get the order to go through due to several error messages. Waiting to order a bunch of other sets hoping for double point deals or other GWP's between now & the end of the year. Will probably be able to get deals elsewhere on many of the other sets currently on my wishlist.

Typical, the American can’t handle a UK based website catering to it’s international userbase. Smh the ignorance some of these people put out.

Bro Thor already out of stock ??

It's always fun for me as an American to see the different spellings of words compared to what I'm used to (such as color/colour, tire/tyre) and terminology (we say gasoline or fuel compared to petrol) when browsing this site

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yet another release riddled with technical issues. I'm not even convinced my order went through at all. Nothing is showing up on my account nor did I receive an order confirmation email. If anything did go through I'll probably get charged multiple times for the same order like last time.

Get it together, TLG. I am so sick of this.

Yeah, they did preorders on that one

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm out of control...lego haul includes the Daily Bugle, Friends Apartment (to do the modular moc), Bad Batch Shuttle, Armoured Marauder, slave 1, T2 Camper, Tuk Tuk, La Catrina, Ninjago 10 and Halloween Owl. I don't need food, right?!

Huh, maybe it was only in North America? I’m pretty sure it had a preorder option when I viewed the product page a few days ago, and the announcement article on Brothers Brick mentions it being available for preorder starting July 6th.

Was intending to get Slave 1 - sorry - Boba Fetts shop and its out of stock already!!!

Yeah we tend to not get pre-orders in Australia either.

By in United Kingdom,

Boba Fett's ship and Mandalorian Fighter out of stock already in UK; been waiting for those but wasn't going to stop up until midnight for them. Hopefully will be back in stock soon...

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Map is finally back in stock, so now it's ordered with promo Boat set. Also added La Catrina. Only a bit of a hiccup from LEGO site. It wouldn't show my cart or my wish list but I was logged in. Kept trying though & finally order went through!

It's also unfair as you're likely to have to spend way over the threshold rather than just reach it, due to the pricing of adult or expert sets. For example, I still had to get assembly square before it retires, but at £180 I would be spending another £120 on a set that I know would not be cheaper anywhere else. Most of the smaller sets are easy to get cheaper elsewhere.

Fortunately I found you can combine your order with Lego PAB to make up difference, which in my case involved adding just over £20 in parts. Also, as a rule of thumb I find that smaller parts, e.g. 1x1or 1x2 bricks, plates or tiles are usually more competitively priced than larger parts. I hope this helps others struggling to meet such a high threshold.

By in France,

So they did release the second wave of Vidiyo in America, despite the ambiguity in their big PR statement. Hopefully that means the second series of bandmates will make it too!

Otherwise, this wave isn't too interesting in my eyes. Lots of licensed stuff for those interested, but not a whole lot of original stuff.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I find it interesting that the Minifigures Series 21 suddenly sold out in the US the day before August 1st sales. I was going to use them to go just above the thresholds.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The people that are saying the GWP is free are missing the point. It is *only* free if I would have bought $200 worth of Lego with no other incentives. In that case, it's free. But not for me and many others. I usually wait until there's a promotion/sale before buying Lego sets.

The threshold shouldn't go any higher than $150. When a *modular building* isn't enough to meet the threshold, something is off. I can feel it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just looked at Ebay for Boba Fetts Starship, aka Slave 1 and am stunned. Fifty quid for the set without the minifigs which have been extortionatly parted out at over twenty five quid each!

What the hell...?!?
