Blue Fiat 500 available at Zavvi for international buyers

Posted by ,

If you are domiciled outside of the UK and want to get hold of 77942 Fiat 500 you will need to order it from Zavvi, who ship internationally.

If you're in the US it'll cost in the region of $100 including shipping.

So, buy now at Zavvi (UK) or Zavvi (US) while stocks last!

Ordered. Expecting to pay import taxes and fees into Norway. Worth it! :-)

"Exclusive limited edition"

Good luck on getting meaningful results of the "test", LEGO.

By in Australia,

Flat $8 shipping rate in Australia, or $18 tracked (same delivery time estimate though). Nice to get the better deal for once haha.

By in United Kingdom,

Fair warning, they take months to ship stuff!

I’m actually I bit disappointed that Brickset keeps promoting Zavvi given their terrible service.

By in United States,

Given all of the horror stories I've heard about Zavvi, I'm very surprised and quite frankly disappointed Brickset keeps promoting them.

By in Netherlands,

I've taken the chance and ordered one.
I've had one bad experience, still waiting on my pre-ordered Lego Luigi Starter set but for this one I am not in a hurry, so will take the delay for granted. But the service is not that good indeed! :(

By in Netherlands,

For Dutchies: the set is also availlable at Zavvi.nl for €79,99 ex shipping

By in United Kingdom,

I keep hearing bad stuff about zavvi but my only purchases so far - HP 71043 and James Bond Aston were boxed and pristine when they arrived yesterday...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just my two cents: I've bought from Zavvi multiple times and never had a bad experience. It usually takes a little time for things to arrive, but considering they are shipping from the UK to the US for me, their shipping speeds have actually been surprisingly fast for non-2nd day air shipping, and the shipping costs have always been super low as well.

I know other people have had issues with them, and my experience isn't universal, but thought I would just throw it out there.

Just don't expect the € 5 discount code to work when you just subscribed to the zavvi.nl newsletter.

Maybe they’re just crap for order in the UK because they’re prioritising the overseas orders :-P

I’ve had three orders with them this year all delayed by over a month - one for three months. They get good exclusive items but I’m not prepared to give them any more money!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The problem is Lego said they would listen to us and stop doing this kind of thing but here zavvi are even advertising it as a "rare item". But happy to see this one isn't UK only and zavvi are in the US and Germany so people at least have a chance to complete there creator vehicle collection.

Obviously you can’t read anything into one purchase but I ordered a set over the weekend and it arrived safely yesterday. This may well be unusual for them though given the comments on previous articles.

As far as Brickset promoting Zavvi I don’t know what they can do. LEGO keeps offering them exclusives and as a LEGO news site it would be weird for them not to cover it. I still want to hear that news. Maybe they could post a warning about the company’s service. I don’t know though, all the comments from dissatisfied Zavvi customers probably provides sufficient warning for most consumers.

me neither.

Even more disappointing, it's not even possible to have a seat in it ...
just tested it with the yellow version. So sad!

I believe that the UK is LEGO’s third largest market (after the US and Germany) overall, so fairly large, and the largest market on a per capita basis, so has a low success threshold. The UK is therefore quite a good test market. If it fails in the UK, it’s unlikely to succeed elsewhere.

By in Puerto Rico,

Nice Zavvi doesn't consider Puerto Rico part of the US... Guess its ultra regional exclusive now.

Ordered! Thanks for the headsup!

For those in the EU, I am in Slovakia and ordered of the German version of the site and it looks like it should be here in under 2 weeks.

By in United States,

Zavvi isn't the problem, DHL international shipping is. At least that's been my experience. Zavvi has packed sets as well or better than other companies, it's just a flip of the coin if they will survive that shipping process. They aren't a bad company though.

By in United States,

Wow, I have ordered many items from Zavvi. Not only for the Fiat but got a 75192
for only US$600.00, $50 store credit I had and the $150.00 discount they had this past week.

There has been one time I had a long delay on a delivery but they were waiting for inventory and quickly responded to my questions and their cust service kept me accurately informed.

Before DHL cratered I received orders in the 3-5 day time frame, quicker then Lego.com and I live in the Denver, Colorado area. Now with Fed/Ex things are a little slower but it looks like the kinks are working out as my last order only took 5 days to reach me.

Other reason for shopping Zavvi if you watch the sales you can get some great deals. As above $600 for a 75192 and just last week you could buy a 42100 for only US$329. and Lego.com is at US$450.

Enjoy your bashed boxes, and poor customer service.

That's the Zavvi way of thanking customers.

Every experience i've had they ship quicker than anything else i've ordered internationally...usually receive the item within a week. I've ordered about 15 times from them and only issue i've had is two items arriving damaged during shipping (Disney Castle & Technic Landrover)

To be fair, US Constitutional law is itself very much on the fence if Puerto Rico is part of the US, and "your" Congress certainly doesn't consider you a true part.

I’m not saying this because I’m selling some on eBay but there £20 cheaper on eBay that’s about $30

By in Belgium,

Just received my parcel (ordered from Zavvi.nl at €79.99 + shipping), which arrived one week earlier than planned. Interesting to note that the set was packaged in Hungary, as opposed to the Czech Republic, where such boxes are usually packaged. My stamp reads: 731H1 // 004153.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I just got mine from Zavvi (NL) but the box was horrible, one side was even open. Lest see how customer support will handle this...

That's bad. Received mine in perfect condition today. Hope to hear that they will ship you one again, arriving in good condition.

I wonder what the highest number will be for anyone reading this? That may indicate the number of blue Fiats sold. My number is 000344 or 000334, forgot which one exactly.

By in Denmark,

I ordered a set last week. Arrived today. Very well packed, absolutely no problem. This was my first order from Zavvi. Thums up. Ordered from Denmark.
(my set has number 003444)

By in United States,

Just received mine from Zavvi and it came completely crushed and damaged. Packaging was poor and was put in a box almost the same size as the set, without any extra padding. Number was 030831. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend Zavvi.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I ordered the blue Fiat from Zavvi on 1 September and it arrived today (9 September), by means of FedEx. I was impressed with the quick shipping, as it was faster than typical shipments directly from LEGO's own shipping warehouses in the U.S. To my surprise the cardboard shipping box was at least 4 times larger than the LEGO box itself, with all that empty volume filled with brown crumpled packing paper (like what LEGO has been using lately, instead of inflated plastic bags). No damage to the LEGO box. My box was numbered 024428, for those wondering.

Sorry to hear about your damaged package. I received my first Zavvi order today with FedEx delivery here in Chicago suburbs. The package was small and had no protection, but it arrived in perfect condition. I'm supposed to get another one tomorrow, so I hope that it will arrive in good condition.

@kkoster79:
Puerto Rico does kind of fall in the cracks in terms of shipping. Technically, PR is a separate nation under US governance, which is why someone from PR is considered to have dual-citizenship with the US and PR. I’ve had to prep shipments to PR, and it’s treated like shipping to a foreign nation.

Basically, if you’re living in PR, you’re treated much like a citizen living abroad, except when it comes to voting. If I moved to the UK, I could register for absentee ballots based on my last residence in Michigan, where a citizen-resident of PR can’t because they would be eligible to vote in local elections under US law. What I’m unclear about is what happens if a regular US citizen moves to PR without becoming a PR citizen. Would I be eligible to vote in PR elections, or would I have to absentee vote for my last residence in the US proper?
