Blocks magazine announces the big £1,000 LEGO giveaway

Posted by ,

This Christmas, Blocks magazine is going to give one lucky subscriber £1,000 to spend at LEGO.com or in brand stores.

Blocks magazine wants to give the best benefits possible to our LEGO loving subscribers. Each month we give away LEGO sets (this month three subscribers will win 21329 Fender Stratocaster) – but for Christmas we’re doing something special – the big £1,000 LEGO giveaway.

On December 24 Blocks will contact one lucky winner who’ll get a £1,000 gift card to spend at LEGO.com or LEGO Brand Stores.

You could use the gift card to get 75192 Millennium Falcon AND 75309 Republic Gunship – or 76391 Hogwarts Icons - Collectors' Edition AND 75978 Diagon Alley AND 71043 Hogwarts Castle – or 286 single Collectible Minifigures (okay, they might not actually let you buy that many).

This is in addition to the other great benefits subscribers receive:

  • Get the magazine early, ahead of the shops
  • Discounted magazines (for example, UK subscribers save £25 a year*)
  • Full access to the Blocks magazine digital back catalogue
  • The chance to win LEGO prizes
  • Protection against future price increases for the duration of your subscription

For those thinking of giving a subscription as a gift, Blocks has some great bundles that include extra goodies such as a t-shirt, minifigure and binder.

Everyone who subscribes to the print edition before 5.00pm GMT on December 23, 2021, will be entered into the £1,000 LEGO gift card giveaway. Digital subscribers must follow the instructions to enter Blocks prize draws before 5.00pm GMT on December 23, 2021 to be included in the £1,000 LEGO gift card giveaway. Terms and conditions apply.

By in United States,

how would that work for those of us outside the UK? not that i'll be spending US$148 for a magazine subscription, ouch (print, that is; digital only is US$68)

"Digital subscribers must follow the instructions to enter Blocks prize draws..."

I have a digital subscription to Blocks, but I haven't received any instructions for this yet, and am unsure of where to find such instructions.

I was going to link you to a tweet they sent out at some point but while the tweet still exists, the resource linked to doesn't.

Complicating it is when I took out my digital subscription they used Pocketmags, they now seem to use a different company.

By in United Kingdom,

This “receive issues ahead of shops” is nonsense I’m afraid. My Issue 84 only just arrived having been announced that it’s on shelves 6 days ago. Not only is it not early, it’s late

By in United Kingdom,

I second what Slobroje says, I'm still without issue 84 and multiple times over the last few months I have seen "Blocks Magzine Issue xx available now" as an article here with my copy arriving some time afterwards.

@cflyg @audaver Here are the instructions to join the prize draws as a digital subscriber: https://blocksmag.com/digital-subscribers-can-win-lego-prizes-with-blocks-magazine/

@Slobrojoe , Issue 84 isn't out in shops yet – it arrives next Thursday (October 7). The magazines always go out in good time, unfortunately the postal service has been more temperamental than ever over the past 18 months. We're advised it's because of the pandemic, but I'll leave everyone to thier own judgement on whether that's still the problem.

@denn It's a worldwide draw, everyone's included (same with the monthly sets).
