Why is the S in DiSh capitalized? Can somebody fix that?

I love how the s is capitalized

Mmmmm, another part that comes in the Trifecta of Colours for the Blacktron 2. Or at least some version of this mold does.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge on yesterdays axle. I had no idea it came in black. I did not check before I typed. I guess it's not so bad. But 7 is still an odd number.

Another transparent vs solid ID.

Makes me rethink the whole concept of RedDiSh Brown.

There’s nothing to fix. It is as it should be.

"Hey guys, check out the SaTeLlItE DiSh."
Popular kids point and laugh.
Satellite DiSh gets its comeuppance in dramatic fashion.
End credits roll.

LEGO part names are absolutely littered with spelling and typographical errors. Evidently this is one example!

By in United States,

Wasn't online yesterday and I missed the first occurrence of the RSTD containing RPTD! Commenting has closed on that article but I wanted to get my answer in for the question of the naming scheme; "7M"

I'm guessing M stands for Module where the distance between two studs is equal to a Module. Technic beams and axles are standard parts that are common in odd Module lengths. Meanwhile, the first LEGO 1x5 plate wasn't around until this year, and 1x5 brick is still a tossup.

As for today's part, I have to say the dish with cutouts (as seen in 1195) is more appealing to me, but this fills an important slot in the standard dish lineup and has many useful applications.

I hear he played for dIRE sTRAITS for a bit, but they had to let him go because he couldn’t get the capitalization right.

The S is for "Savings"!

So how many times did this part change?

Because it certainly did not debut in 2017.

By in Germany,

The random capital S makes it sound like it's a Soviet machine gun (compare the DShK).

6x6 radar dish, solid studs... also known as part 44375b... debuted in 2008 according to Bricklink, or 2010 according to Rebrickable

6x6 radar dish, hollow studs... part 44375a... goes back as far as 2002

Before that, if you wanted a 6x6 radar dish, you had to use the webbed type.

Was there another 6x6 Satellite Dish and this one needs the oddly capitalised S to differentiate it?

Caltrop rating 0/5

The only thing this can do is maybe make you slide, if the basis where the caltrop is deployed has little drag, like on wooden floors. Otherwise you pose greater danger to the part than the part does to you.
