That doesnt look like a block to me...
Rhymes with block, lol
Nearly 20 years ago, I had the thought that the Roborider head looks a lot like a snout, and I started working on my first dragon. At one point, I had the head completely designed, but needed a mating piece for this to connect the two halves together, and no such part existed. After unsuccessfully trying to solve the head design one evening, I’d decided to call it a night. The instant my head hit the pillow, I realized the solution, got up, and spent the next 90 minutes building it before going to bed really late. About a month later, part 41678 was released for the first time. By that time, I’d already forgotten what the original head design looked like, so I’ll never be able to build a completed version.
Good thing these aren’t in nougat or similar.
Also happy the black ones arent 3x1.
@PurpleDave real mature.
Whats up with all the technic parts popping on here
@MeisterDad:
Either you meant to direct that reply at someone else (maybe one post above mine?), or you seriously misunderstood what I wrote.
I predict that by (my) morning, this comment section will be out of control...
This part appears at least in this year's Super Mario question mark block set, so I don't think it was "last used in 2018".
Also, on Rebrickable they seem to list 20 colors for this part, not 11.

It’s probably a minor update slightly different than the older version of the piece that has a different part number
This part is certainly a disappointment when compared to https://brickset.com/parts/design-49491
Not since the 69th issue of Blocks magazine have so many jokes been shelved for fear of a suspension.

Yes: It's part 42163 on Brickset
I will see if I can get the alerts to mention revised versions of the part to avoid discussions like this every time.

Whatchatalkinbout?!
Technic is the best!
I call it "glasses" when I build. It looks like someone wearing glasses to me. LOL.
When I was building with Lego in college (sounds pretty weird but it was for a project) we referred to these parts and similar ones like https://brickset.com/parts/design-49491 as small penises and large penises. Very mature indeed, but at least it made sorting them and asking if another person had found them easier, considering they were not AFOLs.

"I need a small penis. Does anyone have a small penis for me?" :)
The first time I got the longer version of that piece I simply couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably.
Huh. I was sure I first discovered this part in Nuparu's Boxor 8556, which was my first intensively-technicy set (despite Bionicle having dropped the Technic branding my that point); but it looks like this part actually wasn't in the Boxor, so I guess I must have been thinking of https://brickset.com/parts/design-41678 instead. They both served a similar purpose, after all.
I guess my ACTUAL first encounter with this piece in either 8509, which I didn't get until a couple years after its release. Which was one of only two sets to feature the piece in lime, so that's pretty cool ^^ And they held the set's Teal Ninja Swords, which were DEFINITELY a colour that was unique to that instance!
