By in United States,

Looks like I'll be saving money this month!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I imagine physical stores don't take pre-orders? They'll just have the Titanic on a first-come-first-served basis on the 8th?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Oh dear, my SO is really not pleased with me, even though I did give her several warnings I would be purchasing the Titanic.......in the dog house I go for who knows how long........ :/

Showing Coming Soon still for me

By in United States,

They took the site down 5 minutes to 11pm central. Just sitting on a page that keeps refreshing but won't load to actual lego.com to buy anything. It is the waiting room but doesn't have the person moving along the line. Just a bunch of bricks in the background.

Refreshing the browser got me out of that seemingly endless loop.

Thanks!

was able to secure one! was waited in the waiting room, popped up eventually and was still available.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is 21226 available through LEGO yet? (at least in North America?) I can't check their website right now, but it's only been available to preorder for a Dec 4 ship date. Right now that's the same story at Target.

Edit: I was able to get to the LEGO site and it is only available for preorder to ship in December.

By in United Kingdom,

Managed to get past the waiting room, but now stuck in rewards centre to try and cash in some points.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Home Alone set is not listed on the Canada site. Completely removed right now

Gravatar
By in United States,

Got the Titanic on the US site without much trouble, but for some reason Home Alone has completely vanished from the Canadian one. How LEGO is still this bad at releasing new products baffles me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Got my Home Alone house. Life is good. Happy Halloween!

Gravatar
By in United States,

My original waiting room has been in the refresh loop for 25 minutes. Based on a couple people mentioning manually refreshing and getting in, tried that in another window. I don't need any of this day one, but I do want to get at least the Home Alone house before it retires.

Update: After 27 minutes in the waiting room, I got in and got the Home Alone house and polar bear ornaments.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The Home Alone product page is just gone in Canada. It was there pre-midnight, but now it just 404s. All links to it 404. Seems to be there for all other countries I checked. Very frustrating...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Home Alone in Canada is now working for orders.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hm…no notable GWP means I’ll be waiting a bit longer than planned to order Home Alone. I’m patient, though. I don’t mind waiting for an offer that’s more appealing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Home Alone set purchased for me

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'll get Home Alone and Titanic, but only when there's a nice GRP. Even the magnificent Psychedelic Flying Car(sy) seems to have run out!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Titanic can now be pre-ordered in the UK (as of 8am). Surprisingly, no problems on the website for me!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well done Lego, you are now making expensive ornaments and not construction toys.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Have wanted a LEGO Titanic for over 30 years - pre-ordered just after 8am with no website issues (except trying to receive my credit card verification code by text with very little phone signal). Had it sent to my parents house as I won't be home - so looks like I'll be building it over the Christmas holidays, can't wait :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Does anybody know when John Lewis get the new releases in? currently they have £40 off when you spend over £200 on Lego. Would love to pick up the home alone set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Just before 8AM EDT in the US and Home Alone is available but the Titanic is showing Nov 8 on the Lego page... I thought it was to be released today?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Same issue here in Canada, Titanic showing as "Coming Soon" and Nov 8th..

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is strange. Does anyone know if the Titanic will be sold in stores today? I was told by an associate on Saturday it would be but now I don't know based off the website delay. Ordered the Home Alone set. My son has wanted that since it was announced.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

If I was cynical I'd say they've done it to boost the sales of Home Alone :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Home Alone ordered. Very disappointed that only one voucher could be applied. Was hoping for it for £30 not £130! :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

Got a backorder notice on the Titanic not till 11-22? I am hoping that is just a filler date.

I also guessed wrong again and got Home Alone and was waiting to cash in points on Tumbler and that is sold out and Home Alone still availed. (Incent Kevin applying Shaving cream on face) !!!!

Cheers - I've got some saved up for the UCS AT-AT, so will keep that in mind. Might need to go to a store to buy instead.

You can use as many codes as you have. I used 5 on the titanic this morning

For me in Canada ... the Titanic was showing only available as of Nov 8th earlier and now it shows as Temporarily out of stock

Same here, though not with the Titanic. You can use a bunch of codes at once, I frequently use two or three an order. On the mobile website I had to delete out the code text from the box to apply a second reward, but it saved the first.

Got up early, been refreshing all morning, for a moment the Titanic is available, but by the time I clicked "add to bag" it's out of stock. I realize this isn't the worst thing in the world, but LEGO really can't seem to figure out a way to release sets that values their customers.

Maybe it's not actually out of stock and that's just placeholder. We'll see...

It’s hard to gauge interest though in big sets like this. It’s very expensive, and they likely just won’t have that many on hand at once. It’s annoying for sure, but combined with whatever pandemic issues they’re facing, it’s bound to happen.

Should Global companies like Lego be having pandemic related issues of any significance nearly 2 years from when it started ?
I get it that there are shortages in semi conductors, but can't see that having a significant impact on the process of designing, manufacturing and delivering Lego.
Many companies no longer accept covid issues as reasons for not being supplied with contracted services. They believe there has been time to sort things out and change working practices so as to not affect production, availability and delivery.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Oh well, currently seeing this message on the Canadian site for the Titanic

"Pre-orders closed, limited quantity available for backorder starting 11/8."

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want to buy the Titanic but does Lego really expect me to carry that thing from the center of the mall like 2 miles to my car?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

If anything, I will be waiting for Black Friday offers. Am in no rush to order anything as of now. Hardly anything that appears to be in short supply actually turns out to be in the long run.

I don’t know the nuisances of how their supply chain works or what does and doesn’t cause delays. But I know in the US there are very real issues of product getting to the stores and warehouses. Some stuff just isn’t in their control. It has indeed been a while since the pandemic started, but the lasting affects are still being felt. Companies may think there’s been time to have everything sorted out, but that doesn’t mean it has.

I’m not trying to play devils advocate or even vouch for anyone, but I firmly believe the pandemic affects are still being felt.

By in Canada,

I find it hilarious that the tumbler was the first to sell out, I thought I wouldn't have any trouble getting it since it was essentially a re-release

Oh well, here's hoping backorder isn't too long

Gravatar
By in United States,

You know.... I'm kinda ticked off. I've been waiting, what, a month or so for the Titanic set to become available? The site saying all of this time November 1st. November 1st. Available for pre-orders November 1st.

November 1st comes, I get to the site and I'm put into a queue to wait to get into the site? Oooo..kay. I mean, a lot of "big" sets were released today, so, okay. I get in to the site and....

A message says the set now isn't available until the 8th.

....

Okay.

I go off and take care of some stuff for a few hours, get back home to the computer, look at the website and NOW it says that taking pre-orders are closed and "limited quantity for back order" is available on November 8.

WTF!

So when was this thing in a place where I could place my order for it? Now I've go to wait another week and then maybe I can place a pre-order? This is pretty ridiculous. I really want one of these things.

There are still issues with plastic resin supplies as well as other materials. This on top of the logistics of getting raw materials from place to place. And then add to that the logisitics of transporting finished goods. There is also a SeaCan shortage that just adds to this...100+ just fell off a ship off Canada. Not to mention there have been changes to working conditions for workers that can also delay goods.
Even the news, as of last week, are urging people to ensure they get their Xmas shopping done early due to anticipated shortages in the coming months.

When I've purchased multiple large sets at once the store offered to help me to my car. So I'm assuming with this MASSIVE set they would offer to help also. But maybe that depends on the store. (it's been years since I've purchased very much in a store anyway since that was on a vacation)

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Anyone knows when the next 2xVIP will be? :) -Black week in the end of the month maybe?

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

In Switzerland it has been listed from the start as 'pre-order today, will ship by 29 November.'
So strange.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

In the UK the Titanic has been listed for over a week as Pre-order 1st and shipped 8th. Now it says shipped 29th. When I ordered tis morning it said 8th, but when I finished my order it says 29th. I have no idea which shipping date is true for my order. Can't see anything in the email confirmation or order status to confirm shipping date.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Some of you really need to put things in perspective. More critical durable goods are on even longer backorder. Be happy Lego can even give a reasonable time estimate.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Bruh, there is NO way that massive Titanic sold out already!! I figured Id be safe waiting until morning, but no lol.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

OMG, it is SOLD OUT even before it was released. Why doesn't LEGO want my money? How can I go on living?

*runs away screaming, jumps in his speedboat and heads for the nearest iceberg*

Gravatar
By in Canada,

We don't know how many Titanic units did they allocate for pre-orders for each region. Maybe they only had 1K unit for the US or whatever, who knows ? They won't share numbers.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

The only wrong fact about this is that there's a limit of only one. They should know by now that the demand of sets like this is huge and Lego should produce enough copies to meet the demand.

I made the mistake of travelling 60 miles by train to get a signed Star Destroyer in London. The experience of taking it home on the underground and train is not something I will ever repeat. My AT-AT will either be collected from my local store, or brought by the nice DPD person !

Gravatar
By in United States,

To everyone who missed out on the Titanic set don't feel bad. I had placed my order at 12:03 am eastern time and while my order went through it now says Backordered. I'll be curious to see if this backorder is Nov 8th or later in November.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I stayed up and got my order in right at midnight last night for the Titanic and now I just got another backorder notification email form Lego that it "MIGHT" ship by 11-30. Soooo what happened to the 8th? Did they have any in stock today? I wouldn't really care but I shipped it to my parents house and they're out of town at the end of Nov. Never in a million years thought it wouldn't ship till them. Yikes!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I too purchased my set immediately when it went live, and had no difficulty, managing a successful order. The next day, at 3:45pm, I received an email that my order was in fact backordered. I'm curious if most, if not all, people are receiving a delay until the 30th due to part shortage or something alone those lines.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So today, it's no problem to order it. Got one at 7:30 this AM with a couple of clicks.

Not sure why they make it so hard to get one as a VIP but then when public orders open up it's simple. Seems they should make it easier for VIPs, not waste our time with such limited allocation.
