This is an odd part

By in Canada,

This part number was specific to the sets mentioned, but another 5 Elves sets did use them as dragon eggs.

I can see this in a hot tub or spa MOC.

Oh dang it. I thought this was one of those egg parts from Galaxy Squad.

Still, nice thruster part.

Container? Perhaps. Seems more like an upside-down lampshade to me...

I love these elves Dragon Eggs! They’re so pretty and I wish they were in More sets

I remember being it in set 70828 as a "lounge" decoration, being illuminated by a light brick.

Always good to have a container for your bottom. Personally, I'd prefer a chair though...

Alas, the Lego marketing team passed on "Emily Jones and the Dirt Dragon."

In the Pop-Up Party Bus set, used in conjunction with a lightbrick for a nice "disco ball" effect. I love the Party Bus set, by the way. Bought a second one when it was on sale.

Speaking of the LM2… did the sets do well for its target demographic? Since the movie was considered a flop at the box office, I wonder if the many sets LEGO made for it appealed to kids or fans of the original.

@Spidermanager :
I got the impression that some sets sold well (particularly Benny’s Space Squad), while others collected dust. I suspect those sets that did sell well did so because of what characters they included, or the design of the build, rather than that they had anything to do with TLM2.

@TomKazutara :
Not even close to being spherical. Check 41171 to see what a complete egg looks like.

They could connect with the normal 4x4 dome which was used on the final model. Would even look better than the meteors on the first UCS ISD.
