World Builder x Brickset micro-scale competition winners
Posted by Huw,The winners of the microscale building competition we co-hosted with Tongal were announced yesterday evening on Instagram.
Find out which models from the 80 or so entries won the prizes of Architecture sets after the break.
Grand Prize (21056 Taj Mahal)
"Spring - The Academy of Knowledge" by @legobuildingwithtimanddanii.
We were blown away by the intricate details on this build and the clever use of parts like the upside-down rock crystals, and the foliage everywhere makes this look like one comfy tree to live in!
Second place (21042 Statue of Liberty)
"The Amsterdam Canals" by @siard15.
This is the best example we’ve ever seen of an iconic location squeezed into microscale. It’s instantly recognizable with clever roof-building techniques and some unexpected sideways construction for the townhouses!
Third place (21051 Tokyo)
"Heroes of Olympus" by @benbuildslego.
This incredible build looks like a giant LEGO set that’s been hit by a shrink ray! Iconic #Greek architecture is instantly visible even with pieces this small and the use of layered round plates to build the cloud base is a great choice, not to mention little details like the lightning bolts and Power Blasts dripping off the sides. It even has an interior!
Finally, an honourable mention goes out to @space_.cow._boy’s "Parthenon", which was masterfully constructed out of candlestick pieces.
The winners be contacted by Instagram DM. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Good work everyone, the winners look stunning :)
Great builds all around! Winner definitely deserved it!
All very good, well done all
Some nice builds in there and very worthy winners.
Huh. I kinda like them in reverse order!
Congrats to the winners. How did I miss out this competition? I love microscale!
congrats for stunning builds to all winners and a compliment to the organizers! Very inspiring, I started thinking about a similar build of my hometown which is a Dutch foundation of 1621 with Dutch houses and channels in North Germany (and religious tolerance of refugees)

And their creations too :)
So beautiful designs. I really like Olympus. I am still fascinated by the parts usages in such builds, even after having seen so many stunning creations (many thanks to Brothers Brick). They all deserve their prices.
Love the Heroes of Olympus.
All of them very nice as well.
Great job designers!
Wow wow wow !!! Amazing builders!
Something I learned from Lego Masters in various countries: when in doubt, build a tree.
Wow, they all look great! Congrats to the skills of the contestants.
Some incredible talent there.
Amazing builds. I'm honest, I couldn't choose a winner among those, to me they all look equally great.
Trees have huge untapped potential for Ideas and Bricklink Designer Program sets. Long after we have realized the best Modular city, the best tree civilization is limited by our own creativity.
Congrats to the winners and amazing work. I would be interested to see a breakdown of the building techniques on the channel to enable / inspire additional builds.
