Friends Advent Calendar - Day 5

Posted by ,

We've met two young Friends so far in the calendar, along with their companion builds. We have several days in the calendar yet, but I wonder if we're going to meet all the Friends at the beginning, or if we'll have a different build today. The only way to find out is to open door number five....

This is certainly a festive build! I like the greenery with the red berries, it certainly provides that holiday feel that I'm looking for in an advent calendar. Next to it is an ice blue heart under glass - my guess is perhaps that it's an ice sculpture? Not sure why it would need to be under glass, though.

Regardless of what it is, I really like it, mostly because I love the blue heart. This is a great start to a festive theme - here's hoping it continues.

Is it a snow globe?

It’s actually a small music box! It was referenced in the Lego Friends holiday special! I think it looks pretty cool and it’s a small Easter egg for people who watched the show

Friends is continuing its strong run in the Advent Calendar.
I like the comment from @CromedCat - those sort of inclusions ought to be part of the calendars (even if it baffles some of us).

Oh, that is gorgeous and I love it.

It is a thermo chamber, that keeps the heart frozen under room temperature environment. Like the suit of Mr. Freeze.

A strong calendar this year. The micro dolls are a perfect size

This maybe a little late & not part of this day, but I'm hoping there is a peg or something that will allow the controller in day 2 to be held by the microdolls somewhere in the calendar.

@ @DoonsterBuildsLego:
I have personally seen snowglobes (many of which are not globe-shaped), mementos stored under glass bells, and music boxes with a rotating decoration under a glass bell. All three are viable options for Christmas decor, and it doesn’t really matter if each kid guesses correctly, as long as they think they did.

@Yooha:
I, uh, haven’t seen one of those in real life. Besides, everyone knows Friends cause zombism. No, seriously, you put a Friends block on our layouts, that’s where I’m staging a massive zombie outbreak.

@ScottR:
HA! They’re going to have trouble with the brush and the cast, too. They can make several different types of flame shoot out of their hands, but they can’t even pick up a simple twig.
