Friends Advent Calendar - Day 9

Posted by ,

As of yesterday we're a third of the way through the calendar. Time flies! I wonder if we'll meet another Friend next, but since there's only two Friends left and we have many more days remaining I think we might see another build behind today's door.

We're moving inside with this build. Today's build is a table, with a stand mixer and spoon. I love the parts usage on the mixer. Looks like the Friends are all ready to get their holiday baking done - there's even a chef's hat for the main baker. It seems Emma is up to that task.

While not in festive colours, this is a great little build. It's also something I don't think you'd ever see in a City advent calendar, which is unfortunate.

You know you're up too late when the first Brickset article of the day is out before you get in bed! I love this little build - the teal looks great here and it's another very nice stand mixer this holiday season after the one in Santa's Visit.

Considering the kinds of "builds" we got in several past Friends Advent Calendars, something like this is absolutely awesome.

All this needs is the whisk part for the mixer (as used in 10293 Santa's Visit) and it would be perfect. That's a great little build, and useful beyond Christmas.

Isn't Stephanie the food-themed ... you know what, never mind.

@GoldenNinja3000 :
First article of the day is RSOTD, which posts at 2am UK time. That’s 9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, and 4:00 in the afternoon if you live in Hawaii or the Aleutian Islands. Even senior citizens have just finished ordering supper.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by how well the claw piece works for the whisk!

Thought it was a coffee machine

Pink and teal are red- and green-adjacent, sort of. So it's close to festive.

I gotta say, if there were a competition between all the Advent calendars, I'd say Friends is easily winning this year!
