Friends Advent Calendar - Day 10

Posted by ,

Yesterday, the Friends moved into the kitchen with a great mixer and chef's hat. Will we stay in the kitchen today, move to the outside, or meet another Friend? So many possibilities....

We're clearly in the kitchen theme now! Today's build a table with a rather inventive rolling pin, as well as a cup and a cookie. There's a chair for when the microdolls want to have a rest.

I have to admit I'm not sure why a rolling pin would be on this table, unless of course, it's meant to be another treat to be enjoyed with the cuppa and cookie.

I think it's the cup out of place - the rolling pin to make the cookie, but why have a teacup?

The cup could be to sprinkle something onto the cookie. Normally you wouldn’t do this for desert dough, but when you’re working a yeast Ed dough for a loaf of bread, it gets very sticky, and you constantly have to dust a layer of flour on the counter to keep the dough from making a mess.

Alternately, under some baking traditions, the cup’s for the booze.

Maybe it's meant to represent wrapping paper. The cookie seems to be placed on a piece of wrapping paper as well.
Similar to the one in the Marvel calendar (day 8).

They could be using the cup to measure the ingredients as well.

Cup can hold imaginary flour for the surface, so the cookie does not stick, rolling pin being white just adds to that imagination.

For more immersion, just replace cookie with unprinted tile or 2x2 round tile for more of a dough look.

I really liked the 2019 calendar version of city oven build with a disc launcher and unprinted 2x2 tile, not all tiles are pizzas.

In my family we have a cup of water beside us when rolling out dough for pierogies, and another glass for cutting out circles of dough which we then stuff.

The friends advent calendar is the best one this year. All the minfigures are only available in that set. The builds are good and has some amazing parts.

@Lego_mini_fan:
Strictly speaking, none of the minifigs are either mini or figs.

Milk for Santa? That's what I thought it was, milk and a cookie for Santa but I could not figure out what the stick was. Rolling pin makes sense though!
