Friends Advent Calendar - Day 19
Posted by MeganL,We're coming off a few really great builds in this year's calendar. I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of using micro dolls in this year's calendar, but I was absolutely wrong, and this year's builds and micro dolls have been adorable. However, we've only met four Friends so far. As we head into the last few days of the calendar, I expect we'll meet the fifth Friend soon.
Our fifth and final Friend is Mia, who is dressed (like the others) in an adorable dress with a holiday print, in this case a candy cane with some snowflakes. Her dress is in her signature colour. In a difference from all of the other Friends, the hair bow, stocking and present are all colour coordinated. All of these little builds will make for a nice scene on the play mat in a few days.

I've loved the Marvel calendar, this year, and really enjoyed that one ... but gosh darn it, if the Friends calendar didn't pick a really lovely, interesting theme and stick with it, providing plenty of clever, complex builds.
I'm not really a fan of minidolls so I rate this weaker then the previous days. But as a minidoll it's a wonderfully festive outfit. At first glance I thought it was an oversized shirt and not a dress.
I really look forward to seeing every day in one image and seeing if the entire calendar is greater than the sum of its parts. I think it will be.
My friends calendar day 19 didn't have the promised mini doll - but another copy of the oven from the other day :(
I'm with @Zordboy on this one: as awesome as the Marcel calendar's been, with some great minifigs and great microbuilds, I'm wishing I'd gotten the Friends one too. Those microdolls have been adorable!
For some reason I ended up getting all the calendars this year and have to say the Friends one has the most interesting builds and useful parts.
I had thought what I would ever use the minidolls for but they've really grown on me. The festive outfits on such a small part are great. Today's is a great one for Christmas displays, even if as a large doll for a minifig if you don't use the Friends dolls usually.
Having seen the way my children play, the use of microdolls made the calendar a must get.
The others all seem a bit lacking this year
The fifth and final sleeping bag, and only five more sleeps ‘til Christmas...Eve. Could have waited one more day for this one.
@guachi:
Micro dolls. Minidolls are taller than minifigs. And my take on it is that she’s wearing a shirt and matching skirt/shorts, based on how it’s sculpted.

I am more than satisfied with Marvel. Find it spot on. ;-)
I’m enjoying the Star Wars one this year, but I think pretty much all the others surpass it. I wish I’d picked up at least one more.
I must admit; as I have done on several previous days, that the Friens AC is really good this year. Despite that I don't regret not having one; the microdolls are just as 'meh' to me as their bigger counterparts and while the builds are good, there aren't any exclusive parts in them, so not much to miss there either.
I got the Marvel one for my son this year and the HP one for myself and we have been enjoying them both thoroughly! Even if the HPAC isn't quite up there with last years one,
it's still good enough for me.
These micro dolls are a must have for any friends collector! So cute and adorable! Great value for a set of this size where you get all five :)
