City Advent Calendar - Day 23

With yesterday's train engine, there's little mystery as to what we'll find behind today's door. I'm very happy that we seem to be finishing the calendar on a long-awaited festive note.
And festive we have! This is a lovely train car to attach to the back of the train engine from yesterday. It's laden with wrapped gifts ready to be delivered to..........the minifigs? The microscale buildings?
Put together, it makes a very nice model, and gives me something to put on the train tracks on the place mat! While it comes late in the calendar, I'm very pleased with this train.

That does look good. Nice little multi-stage set and the giftwrap colours are great.
Hmm, the only problem I see is that there’s a seat for the operator that’s not on the engine itself. Coupling that first car is probably a show worth pulling up a chair and a bucket of popcorn for.

These last two days are the ones my son has been looking forward to most after seeing the train on the cover. The helicopter was his other favorite door. The "F" building and the mail post were the ones he had no interest in. (He's 3.)

This is a fun and festive train build. I think some of the other vehicle micro builds would be even better at this slightly larger scale. I like the size of this train and think more of the vehicles would be more well received with a little more detail and size, but still fit within the Advent Calendar theme.
