Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 17

Posted by ,

Differing accessories have appeared during the last two days, preparing Harry for his journey to Hogwarts. Something to bring those accessories together would be good today.

Let's open the door and see...

This cart accommodates several such accessories, although the need for studs to secure those items means the cart is not completely enclosed. The design seems relatively simple, but serves its purpose and includes a handle for minifigure interaction. The rolling wheels are also welcome, especially since they were absent from the cart in 75955 Hogwarts Express.

Overall - 2.5 - The model is extremely basic, but provides adequate storage for the aforementioned accessories.

I think 2.5 is being generous.

Definitely wouldn't have my owl riding in this thing.

Didn't we just have a cart?

Maybe post a second picture with the accessories on it?

i was stumped as to what the transparent piece connecting the wheels was until i realized that was the display base. I concur, 2.5 is generous. Its a 2.0 build tops.

Yes, but one for transporting people. This one's for transporting goods.

I was able to fit everything, sans the fittingly scene-accurate Dumbledore card I got from door 16. Put the book in the enclosed side, connect the wand box on the studs, put the animals on the wand box, and ticket in the small gap in front of the handle.

I like it. Anything that helps keep all the loose pieces together and to stop them from falling off models and disappearing into the carpet on the floor is a must for me. I appreciate that Lego has incorporated clips and the like to store items; it shows that they listen to their fan base and are prepared to be accommodating. Good job Lego!

Overslept today, and had to rush so fast to get out the door that I didn’t have time to build today’s model. I had to avoid reading this until I got home so I could pretend I didn’t know what today’s build would be.

@Norikins:
It only takes one hand to push such a tiny cart, so the other is free to carry the extra tile. I’d probably have him carry the ticket and tuck the CF card in between the handle, the box and book, and the sidewall. Alternately, you can slide the book back to the handle and fit the ticket in the front, which eliminates any risk of it slipping out one of the gaps.
