Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 23
Posted by CapnRex101,
76390 Harry Potter Advent Calendar has tracked the eponymous character's journey to Hogwarts, lacking the seasonal theming of previous Advent Calendars from this theme.
That could change on the penultimate day...
Christmas trees are available in each of the three Harry Potter Advent Calendars released so far, featuring reasonably consistent construction methods. Wedge plates are attached around bricks with studs on the side within the tree, thereby creating the traditional conical shape. Additionally, four 1x2 curved wedge slopes are situated around the Christmas tree, further improving its shape.
The balance between colours looks good and several golden stars decorate the tree. They seem fairly attractive, although the spacing between stars is relatively large. The design from 75964 Harry Potter Advent Calendar, released during 2019, therefore remains my favourite, but this model is appealing too.
Overall - 4.5 - This is definitely among the better LEGO Christmas trees, but the decoration falls short of previous examples.

They should take one of Thanos’ infinity gems and call it the philosophers/sorcerers stone and use it on here as a decoration!
Can’t believe it took us 23 days to get our first proper festive build.
Prefer the previous versions, this ones too rounded.
Do they ever swap which direction of wedge plate they make these in? I'm sure I have way too many of one side.
Ironically, this is the one model that doesn’t fit the theme. It’s not even time to put out Halloween decorations when this takes place, much less Christmas. Who do they think they are, American retailers?
@MisterBrickster:
2019’s big tree rotated the other direction, but it had at least two layers of wedge plates, plus two smaller trees to go with it (no wedge plates on those).
This is a lot better than the Avengers one from today.
