Wait, this is a part?
And when will it come in Black/white/trans neon green?
More of them please! And outside of Frozen sets!
@NatureBricks:
And currently that’s the only set that uses them.
@ElephantKnight:
Wasn’t TNG retired in favor of TBG? The other colors would require a new mold to accommodate for material differences so a finished part has similar dimensions and clutch.

Just finished it! Great set, though, did you get 6 Snowgie heads, too? I got 6 of those, two of the penguin.
This part looks awesome. I agree, we need more of these!!!
Me: I didn't know this part existed.
@PurpleDave: "...{T{he only set that uses them."
Me: And thus my ignorance is explained.
Reminds me of the old space and castle corners, mostly in black. I wish I had more of those so I could finish my 6086. I don’t think these would look as good.
@TheOtherMike:
I know I’ve seen it before somewhere, but I don’t own the set, and didn’t study it in intense detail when I saw it on display at the local LEGO Store. I probably saw it singled out in a review of the set, or spotted it in one of the “new parts of the month” articles. I’m kinda curious why they designed a new panel like this instead of just using the existing design, given that they clearly weren’t in a rush to put this to use across a broad range of themes.
@NatureBricks:
Well, yes, I’m aware of that. But the opaque mold, and the basic design, already exist. Now they have two similar panels that are restricted to either or, but can’t be made in the same color, and someone had to spend time developing this design.
The old 3x3x6 corner panel hasn’t been made since 2009, with a more slender variant being introduced the following year, but that version is still in production this year. It’s just a bit of math to spec out a new mold for transparent versions, vs having to design a new panel from the ground up. This one isn’t capped by a vertical wall, which is present on the other two, so maybe they decided that poses too great a risk of breaking. That I could understand. Frankly, I always hated how you had to build up the top to be level, since it used uncommon parts that were always needed elsewhere, but I think the 3x3 size would be more appealing in full transparent colors because of the wider center “window”.
I didn't know this part existed, more used to the curved 1/4 Circle wall 2 x 2 x 5, part 30987, which can be placed in-between 4x4 round plates.
