It's a real shame. Before Brexit the final price could be pretty competitive, especially with a little discount code from Brickset. Now though, unless we're talking retired items I don't think they can compete in the UK.

Take the Series 22 offer. €242.15 after fees which translates to roughly £201.68. Then you can expect VAT on at least £196.55 of it which will bring it up to £235.86. Then there is the unknown factor of DHL fees on top. I'm assuming when DHL report everything to the HMRC or whoever that postage costs quoted on the site of €4 are what they report. If they report more than that VAT bill will be more too.

Another place reliable for boxes of minifigures is doing a box of 36 for £109.99 or £219.98 for two.

Minifigure Madness still have the edge with availability of retired but we're all shafted as a result of Brexit.

^ True, but don't forget not all Brickset readers are in GB!

I haven't bought these minifig packs since the ninjago movie, but unfortunately I'll have to keep that record. Nothing is really interesting at the moment.

You are of course correct, the deals are good as ever for everybody in Europe. I'm just grumbling because sites like this and for that matter a huge number of European BrickLink sellers are all more expensive and it isn't their or my fault.

I also really detest not knowing what the final cost will be unless you know somebody is UK VAT registered and the purchase is under €135. I learned this one the hard way when I was part of the first BrickLink AFOL Designer Program. I'd calculated VAT but I hadn't accounted for the listed price of the delivery, which was free for me and that VAT would be added on top of that. End price was a lot more than simply 20% VAT that's for sure.

To be fair, you kinda shafted yourselves on that...

Still sad about it, you were one of the cooler members of the team.

You have no idea how many times I had to stop myself before ordering sth from the UK with these idiotic fees and taxes. I am glad they are based in UE and accept Euro.
