Bricks Cascade returns to Portland
Posted by Huw,As the world continues to open up, the LEGO event calendar is filling up, and one of the first events in the USA this year takes place in a couple of weeks' time:
Bricks Cascade celebrate its 10th LEGO Fan convention and expo this March 10-13 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon (USA).
Bricks Cascade is a 2-day public exhibition and 4-day Recognised AFOL Networking Event for registered LEGO fans. Fans attending the 4-day convention participate in building competitions, games, presentations, workshops, and building the adult LEGO fan community. On Saturday and Sunday, the public is invited to see the LEGO creations, visit with builders, and shop at a variety of LEGO themed vendors.
This year marks Bricks Cascade’s 10th anniversary, so we are celebrating “A Decade of Cascade.” We expect between 8,000 and 10,000 members of the public to visit the expo and nearly 500 builders to attend.
Bricks Cascade is operated by an all-volunteer Steering Committee that works year around to share the joys of LEGO with big and little kids alike. Event operations are a coordination of the Steering Committee and event volunteers who help make it happen.
Event funding non-profit company Bricklandia, Inc. is organised for the purposes of promoting LEGO artistic creations; hosting exhibitions and conventions in the Portland metro area for the general public; regularly sharing models & creations; tips & tricks of building, and artistic ideas in a fun and supportive environment.
For more information visit Brickscascade.com and advance tickets for the public expo are available here.

I'll be there, displaying a huge Classic Pirates layout! Very excited that we're back!
I'm curious why this convention is promoted by Brickset, but other 2022 brick conventions (such as Brick Fest Live or BrickFair or BrickUniverse) were not.
I'll be there! Can't wait! :)

Maybe they didn't contact Brickset with a press release?

That could be a valid reason. I'm just genuinely curious.

Exactly. I'm friends with one of the organisers of this one. Also, we don't promote commercial events.

Ah, thanks for confirming - I was going to mention the commercial factor, but wasn't totally sure. It's something I consider when choosing events to attend, so I appreciate it being made clear in the press release whether an event is for profit or not.

Captain Xavier and one if his fellow AFOLs are bringing a massive Naval fleet. Their display had to be measured in yards instead of studs!! Check out his build videos of his 104 gun First Rate Ship if the line. She is a beauty. YouTube: Captain Xavier’s Brick Channel
