So what happened yesterday? I opened Bricklink, then tabbed away; when I came back, I saw the RPotD article, but it didn't have the picture; so I refreshed. When the page reloaded, the article had gone.

@TheOtherMike it was a window into a different perspective so it was fake news and got cancelled. XD

On a more serious note, no idea why they removed the article completely instead of just adding the image that was missing.

Not sure how I'll get this thing to fly, seeing as its an aviation transportation means.

Speaking of aviation pieces, I wonder why Lego created a whole new specialised aeroplane cockpit piece (with corresponding bottom part), only for it to be used exclusively in one City set for no apparent need. (they could have easily made the crashed plane with either the existing cockpit piece or just brick built it). I don't know the part name but it was very similar to the cockpit of a Ford Trimotor/Junkers Ju52 and was perfect for that type of aircraft, allowing for an engine or anything else really, to be attached to the 'nose' of the aircraft.

Okay, so apparently the image problem was on Lego's end, not Bricklink's, but that still doesn't explain why the article disappeared.

Yes, I’m ashamed of this comment.

Don't have any of these...yet; kinda' eye-ballin' using one for a boat hull...which is funny: one of projects uses part 2560 (in red) for the hull of a plane...life:)

@Huwbot seems as fixated on plane parts as Clikets. We’ve had a cockpit, side door, two propellers, and a control yoke.

@PurpleDave Dont pick on poor Huwbot, he's just trying to build an aeroplane so he can fly around the Brickset servers and be more efficient.

PLate with knobs the other day, a plane bottom today. I think Huwbot is in a bit of a dirty humour mood

The lore
Lego director: I want 100 new parts this month.
Developer 1: well we could give some existing parts a new name
Lego director: no they must be "new"
Developer 2: ninjago will give us 50 and mario 30 so we won't make it since we don't need new parts for star wars and city.
Lego director: well than make some new hull and windscreens for those!!!!!!
AFOL whispers *you could make a cool castle*
Developers: who ordered new hulls and windscreens?
Lego director: good boys keep it up, I achieved my quota
AFOL: *cries*

The replacement for the previous streamlined plane end part 54654, to give a more bulbous junior looking plane and bump up the price.
