By in Canada,

At first I thought it was a recoloured rack as found in the Rough Terrain Crane but then I looked it up and it was for the AT-AT. An astonishing 12 diameter circle out of these.

This part has a nice rack.

Is this the most recently introduced part (from 2021) to be featured as RPOTD?

I’ve been running in circles, racking my brain, trying to kick it into high gear and come up with something to say about this, but it’s giving me no quarter! Can we 36 this part and pick a new one?

@goldenguy880:
Not by a massive margin. Post-2020 parts seem to be unusually heavily favored, and we’ve seen multiple parts get picked the same month they debuted.

By in Netherlands,

Whenever I see a RPotD with an unusual, I want to have a closer look.
Would it be possible to have a higher resolution image, please?

No -- LEGO only publishes them at this resolution unfortunately.

11 stud diameter actually, when combined the standard way, because the half-stud protrusions overlap.
This is probably the part I was most excited about from 2021 for Technic usage because of the new planetary gearing options it opens up, but it's bound to be hard to get until it reappears for individual purchase. I can't imagine many people want to part out their $800 AT-ATs, so I think the ones on Bricklink must be from people who bought them individually before they were removed.
