What an interesting piece, kinda weird it hasn't appeared in a set since 2015.
Very useful for us Technic builders, but the name is quite an eye-opener. Anyone know the number of the corresponding Stickpart?
Hey man, pass that Power Joint over here…
Hopefully it's more useful than the "Power Glove" Nintendo came out with way back in '89...
What team plays there?

I love the power joint. It's so bad...
The other part is just power joint 92911, useful for having a moveable frame held by suspension which could contain a differential or steering, with the clearest picture shown in monster truck 42005. The power part probably refers to transmission from a motor in 9398 (which is probably why this part was created), where the frame takes all the stresses rather than the universal joint (which were prone to breaking). Probably discontinued when Technic cars became twice as wide and the new stronger input and output shaft constant velocity joints had move give so didn't need housing. Still useful for building your own Monster trucks though!
Will this fit into part 44358? Looks to be roughly the same size...

Not sure why folks think it's been discontinued, it appeared in last year's 42126 Ford Raptor.

Looks like the part underwent a mould change; this is the original version of the part, while the newer one is https://brickset.com/parts/design-65452 which seems to have replaced it in the mid 2010s. Comparing Brickset's images for them, the newer version of the part looks like it was strengthened around the joint in comparison to today's random part.

That contained 65452, the successor to 92910. It may be an exact duplicate just from a new mould, or it could be updated. Updates can be very subtle, sometimes just micron level adjustments that are imperceptible to the naked eye but needed to tweak friction, durability or compatibility.
