What's "up" with this part? Seems a bit clingy to me! ;-)

I like this part so much better than it’s circle clip counterpart

@ohrmazd: This version can hold tiles without stressing it, though.

Don't believe a thing about clips with tiles not causing stress. It always does, it doesn't matter how they design and redesign the clips. You leave a tile in one of these clips (even with a different design and possibly different plastic) for ten years and it will definitely leave it warped.
It baffles me that even with the redesign that LEGO allows that type of connection in sets. I know it's designed to allow that type of short term warping, but long term, it's still not a good idea. Not in my opinion anyway.

It’s Bat-tile!

This needs to be the part’s name going forward.

Upright? Very forthright to assume anything about this brick's moral character

Wish they made a circular variant. One that could be rotated when adjacent to another brick. That would be nice.

"Weird that this clip version is only in 5 NinjaGO sets."

Even weirder is that the images show different parts than this one. There's a little space between the clips. Except of 2256, which has the gold one.

By in Belgium,

I actually hate this part. I know it's useful for hanging stuff etc. but it always tends to turn around and i love my builds 'straight', and when you take off the thing you clipped it always comes with it. Hate it.

I much prefer the 2x1 tile with one clip. Can be held in place much better!

These old square ones look the best to me, out of all the variants. Unlike other clip types, Bricklink doesn’t make much distinction between this and the rounded edged one so it’s tough to know which sets have which ones — and there was quite a bit of overlap for a while.

@MeisterDad:
There are at least five variants of this part, and Bricklink only recognizes three that I can recall. They have this version, with the square-cut prongs. They have the notched Ninjago variant that I’d doubt the existence of if the Bricklink images weren’t photos of real parts (I’ve never seen one in person). They have the modern C-clip (which they call “open O” because saying “C” is apparently too easy). What they don’t have are two that look similar to the notched version. One looks identical except there’s no notch. The other looks the same as that version, but it also has two horizontal ridges molded about halfway up the prongs. I can’t recall if those ridges allow any weird non-standard connections, and I have no idea why they added the ridges in the first place, but I do find it annoying when I have a random mix of the two when building a MOC.

Wow. You really are uptight, no-fun individual. I'm just trying to make people smile, not frown... which is the direct opposite of what your post was trying to do to me!

The entirety of rpotd is a chance for dads to polish their ninja pun skills.

This is one of the best space parts.

I do agree about leaving stuff clipped to this part. Even things designed to go in it can cause cracks. I’ve got old MOCs where these are holding a bar or a pneumatic T-piece, and they’ve developed cracks along the bottom of the clips. Some have even come apart.
