It’s a roof tile?
I call this ( Windscreen 4 x 4 x 1 Roll Cage) , the mini Rock Raiders cockpit
The original large part (not on brickset for some reason) :
LEGO PART 30298 Windscreen 10 x 14 x 2 2/3 Roll Cage

@namekuji:
I can give them “roof”, but this is more “bar” than “tile”, and more air than “bar”.
It would be neat if LEGO made glass for this.
Totally agree with you guys about this nonsense name.
It's just that Lego use the term roof tile for A LOT of their slope bricks.
Funny looking roof!
To be honest, I've never liked this piece (I find it hard to use), so I'm actually glad it hasn't appeared in sets since 2020. Perhaps it's retired?

There is https://brickset.com/parts?query=ROOF%20ROCK%20TILE%204X4 but not in transclear
I now want to see someone use these as roof tiles, build some old dilapidated barn with the rafters showing
8384 was the first set I owned that featured this part.
Actually, it's still the only one.
I assumed this was designed to be the cockpit of an X-wing or similar, but seems never used in a space vehicle for this purpose (unless there is a different part ID)?
Roof tile? Cockpit roof.
@watcher21:
That part is bigger than this one, and in no way designed to clip inside it.
@ambr:
First appeared in a single Racers set from 2003 (8384), and didn’t see another use until 2005. It’s a bit runty for a minifig-scale X-Wing, and almost as big as most microscale versions.
Clone Scout Walker foot. 7250 was the first (and only) set where I've encountered this piece.
Interestingly, they *do* serve as a cockpit cover in the alternate model.
