Well, it’s not every day that a part tells you to eighty-six it…

How is this POOP? It’s a frame for a 6 wide window or double doors.

You could use part 42205 and two of 2454.

I wonder if this was created to make it easier to attach (non-modular) floor plates to the top of these frames and walls without one or more of them collapsing. I have a hard time doing it while they're standing because they keep wiggling askew and what I end up doing sometimes is attaching each wall element to the underside of the plate from below it first — away from the ground floor plate — before attaching them one by one to the ground.

By in Germany,

I seriously wonder what prompted the creation of this piece.
I mean, the three pieces you need to replicate this are in themselves only a simplified version of what we had as kids.
I would have needed to stack a total of twelve 1x2 bricks in order to achieve the same result. And guess what, back in the day even a 5-year-old could manage such a feat without throwing a tantrum.
Alas, how times have changed. Nowadays everything has to be made as overly simple as possible. Don't try to challenge kids!

I always find it sad that Lego have discontinued useful unique parts making it impossible to recreate some of the vintage sets, and then add new parts which are just a combination of parts which already exist.

Oh, the whining continues i see... This part may seem like POOP but it was introduced for 4+ sets where it gives structural foundation and makes building houses quicker and easier. I got it from 41695 and I really like it, it's useful.

Agree with the whining comments. Give it a rest guys. Not only is it a part for 4+ sets which often include larger stable parts for smaller hands, I personally sometimes have issues with several of the 1x2x5 bricks in assemblies where they pop out before being nailed down with plates or bricks across the top - making this a particularly sensible simplifying piece for the littlest builders, but it also allows double wide doors with no frame in the middle. Therefore it’s not at all just a large part made of other parts, it includes new functionality that never existed before.

I personally can’t wait to see this included as part of a grand entrance in a future modular building. Save your complaining for when the pricing on those sets goes up to $250. You can blame the new parts for it then XD!
