If there’s only one, can it truly grab anything?
Looks almost like a baby Bohrok face shield.
Need a couple more of these to make yourself a Graboid.
So few elements have a name that's a full sentence.
The name confused me, until I saw that the part's main use was, you guessed it, for crane grabs used as attachments on cranes and excavators.
This looks like it would be a Bohrok's undercarriage

@WesterBricks:
No, no, no, it’s an imperative! You know, an order given in a terse and direct manner.

What's the sound of one Grab Element clapping?
Careful now, you can get out on a register for that. Get consent!
No, you grab element.
Definitely one of the most underused parts in Technic. In about a decade it's appeared in only three sets (no, Chima does not count).
@TheIronBadger: Why doesn't Chima count? Because it isn't Technic>

Its only in 2 technic sets though, Chima is the third
Seemed to be created just for the excavator 42006 and crawler crane 42042, both of which are really good Technic sets for 9+ to learn some clever mechanics with clutches etc., and still resale at around there original retail price on the secondary markets.
I always thought it would be great to build a pair of working pinches for a Sci-fi mech with these, so now that they have returned as design 28926 in 42144 with pneumatics I may have a chance now.
A smaller, more minifig scale version returned this year in set 60350 : Lunar Research Base.

While not an entirely new part, bricklink lists it as a seperate part probably due to the difference in name.
2022 part : Technic Grabber Arm Claw
2010-2017 : Crane Jaw Curved :

What does it do with the element once it’s grabbed? Hmm…

This part also appears in 42144, in dark bluish grey.
