This windscreen is not see through, so it fails at it's one job. 0/10, would not recommend! ;-)
I love this part in its transparent form, perhaps not entirely rationally--more because it's a part of some of my favourite sets: 6813 (my first favourite Space set) and 6648 (the first LEGO set in the family), but it's not a part I think of as super useful in its opaque form.
I built three versions of a car that uses three of these in clear to form the windshield, because 92583 didn't exist yet. I should get around to updating those someday...
Big fan of this one. It's super thin AND has a jaunty angle, making for some great sci-fi doors and hatches.
This part has the perfect trifecta. It comes in black, white, and trans neon green.
And as a bonus, comes in trans Yellow!

I mean it would technically screen you from the wind…
I'm not a fan of this piece. It's too small for a priper windshield and has weak connection on the bottom so it's usually tricky to have a really useful purpose in my mocs. I especially dislike it as one piece windshield like in 6648 when I was a kid it bothered me because I've never seen a real vehicle with such a bizarre windshield... When it's opaque it's much more interesting, but I have zero opaque versions of this piece.
@thor96: The reason for the weak connection on the bottom is to make it easier to hinge up, as in 6536.

Blacktron will always ignore such colour.

I just remembered that this is a car I’ve posted photos for! It’s a Nerd Herd car from NBC’s Chuck (these were a spoof on Best Buy’s Geek Squad VW Beetle, with their white body and black trim). The scene I based it on is from the pilot, where Sarah is driving while spinning a 360, so she can out the driver side window at a vehicle that’s failing them (Chuck is screaming in the passenger seat). The car during the first year was a Toyota Yaris, but they got upgraded to a Toyota Matrix during S2. I was still pretty new to building cars at the time, so that body design felt more like something I could replicate, but the windshield proved to be a bigger challenge than I’d planned for. It has a pronounced slope, so the 2x6x2 windshield didn’t look right. The 3x6x2 windshield was a few years off (and even longer to finally get it in clear), so these Twin Pod Cloud Car windshields were the only viable option.
It took three per car (I made solid red and solid black copies as well, so I needed nine total), and they create several problems. I hate the ribbed look to the windshield, the base is a 3-sided connection that allows it to kick out, plus the horizontal section eats up a lot of valuable headroom. The result is that anyone sitting in the front seats (which actually don’t exist) need to have their legs replaced with a 2x2 plate and a 1x2 tile, all so they’ll sit two plates lower. If I switch to the 3x6x2 windshield, the roof elements have a cavity underneath where I know from building other cars will leave enough space for a minifig head with a moderate hat or hair (no Marge Simpson beehives).
